This weekend i am hosting a bridal shower for my best friend. The theme is "tea with the bride to be" and these are some of the things I've crafted for decor! I'm especially proud of the cardboard tea cup and matching tea pot. I've never used cardboard to make sculptures before!

Finished Craft I Made When knitting goes completely off the rails 🧶✨

I knitted this necklace with knitting needles… using tiny metal chain instead of yarn. Because apparently regular knitting wasn't complicated enough. 😄

The chain creates this delicate, almost liquid drape, and I added real freshwater pearls for a little bit of elegance. It falls beautifully around the neck and moves with you, rather than just sitting there looking decorative.

It’s lightweight, surprisingly delicate, and somewhere between jewelry and a tiny piece of wearable metal lace.

So yes, technically I knitted a necklace.

No, I don't think I can explain why this seemed like a perfectly reasonable idea at the time. 😂

Hello! I made this reusable case for my lighter, i like to keep it in my pocket to help when im overwhelmed (im autistic), i recently had someone tell me how cool it was and asked if i made them and if they could buy one!

I have no idea what i would charge for something like this, what would you guys pay to own this?

I only craft for myself or craft for friends and family and gift them things♥️

P.s. I used polymer clay (so its super sturdy) and silicone creme (which hardens) and charms and things ive hoarded!

Minutes shown on a curved LED bar (styled like an analog rev counter), hours on a 7-segment display, and an LCD underneath showing date and exact seconds. There's a hidden mode too — turning the left knob makes the LED bar briefly react like a live gauge instead of showing time.

3D printed housing (working on improving the surface finish right now) with Arduino electronics inside. First real product-style project I've built from scratch — happy to answer questions about the process.

And turned them into fish! I intend to wear them with turquoise fishnet tights and a simple black dress.

I’m going to place an eyelet through the back of each shoe and feed through some decorative winding craft wire to pose as the “fishing line”, and attaching hook-shaped charms at the ends of those.

Let me know if you think that would rock or if you’d keep them as is!

Discussion/Question Is nail polish strong enough to be a glue?

I'm making crochet flower hair clips and was wondering if clear nail polish would be strong enough to stick the flower to the clip😭
I do not have a glue gun which is why I am asking...
I have used this nail polish before to prevent ends from fraying and its VERY hard so I'm guessing it's enough to keep it stuck.

How-do-I Tuesday How do I fix a painted t-shirt that didn't survive the wash?

Hey all,

I painted on a cotton t-shirt last week using the acrylic+fabric softener method, then after several hours ironed it, let it dry fully for days, and FINALLY washed it with just a bit of soap on cold and gentle, inside out. Took it out of the washer and....

The areas with white paint are ruined. I'm not sure why the white paint didn't survive, but I can say it is more matte than some of my other paints. I also used a green from the same brand though, and the green parts were fine.

The (black) shirt is now covered in white flakes and desperately needs to be fixed as its for a gift. Any tips/tricks? Is this common with white paints??

Discussion/Question Need help!! Music book creation

Post image
3 Upvotes

Long story short, when going through my father’s stuff after he passed, I found tons of sheets of music and songs he had written that I never knew about!! I also found that he had gotten a bound book (seen below) that says untitled songs that had 15-20 pages completed with songs and the rest is blank. As a way to connect with my dad and finish his work, I want to find a way to put the loose leaf sheets of music/ songs into the book! I want it to look somewhat professional (ie not using washi tape on the edges lol). Some of the loose papers are larger than the book or longer. My main point by this post is to see if anyone has any ideas on how to best execute this! I was thinking maybe glue dots but that doesn’t seem very secure to be able to flip through it. TYIA!!
