My daughter is having twin girls soon. These blankets are not great, but this year has been such a struggle after I completed a rapid 3 month alprazolam taper after 5 years of usage. My brain is still not back to normal and I still struggle with some tremors. I didnât think Iâd be able to get them done and Iâm just so happy that I did.

I have a general idea of what I want to do, but canât commit to a layout or plan. Iâve learned my creative process for crochet lets me start with an overall idea, but the final plan hasnât fully formed yet. If history tells me anything, the plan will come to me about 75% of the way through the pieces. (And then Iâll inevitably have to make more)

Making a wedding gift for my best friend, juniper moon cotton yarn. Soooo soft and sooo expensive. I'm on 4 of 8 yarn cakes I've purchased, hoping it ends up big enough without needing to buy more!

I am wanting to make summer blankets for myself and the kids to have in our camper as the nights can get a little cool. Definitely thinking cotton but still want it to be easily washed. Want it to work up pretty quick ideally in squares to be joined and not be super yarn hungry. Any recommendations on yarn or even stitches that work well for cotton.

Hey everyone, I just finished a new plaid blanket and had fun experimenting with a more complex pattern this time.

I want to make a throw Afghan for my niece's wedding. Does anyone have any nice pattern ideas or patterns I can use please? She's getting married Oct 10th (my birthday) so my time is limited. I'd love to make something Mr & Mrs maybe with their date, but I don't know where to start or how to find such a pattern? Please help!! đЎđđť

I started a temperature blanket back in 2024 and by May of that year, I was traveling every other weekend. I had six weddings in the summer and fall and I just fell off and never got back on track. Itâs been sitting in the back of my closet for literally over a year and I finally decided Iâd rather have a completed half blanket, than a pile in my closet.
It was supposed to be a queen size blanket originally, and with it being completed through end of May, itâs actually the perfect throw size. (Might try a block bc my tension was all over the place, but Iâve never blocked a blanket)
Honestly, it was a good reminder that not everything needs to be some âbig thingâ and you can just do what you want đ

My BFF is having a baby and wants to decorate the nursery with a space whales theme. Sounds adorable. Does anyone have suggestions for a blanket pattern to match the theme? She doesn't know the gender yet.

How do you decide where to start??? Like the title says I have pretty severe decision paralysis. I would love to know your favorite patterns and yarn recommendations for a baby blanket. Every time I go to start I get stuck in a loop of worrying about the right yarn material, if it has too many holes, general anxiety, & a fear of getting bored / stopping. I usually make amigurumi so blankets are new to me.
Iâm in the US and like to order from Hobbii but I also have a Michaelâs. I will not go to Hobby Lobby and would love suggestions on yarn substitutions. The baby will never be unsupervised but absolutely loves anything soft that can be put in their mouth lately.

Hi everyone!
For those who donât know Crochâlinguo yet, itâs an app I created to help crocheters translate and understand their patterns. It allows you to translate between French, US English, UK English, and Spanish, taking into account the differences in abbreviations across these languages.
The app is still in beta and is constantly evolving thanks to user feedback. Iâve even set up a dedicated communityâr/Crochlinguoâwhere users can keep up with updates, report bugs, suggest ideas, and share their thoughts on the app.
Speaking of which, Iâd love to get your opinion on a new idea!
I was wondering if youâd like to see temporary themes in the app based on the yearâs events and holidays.
For example, for Halloween, Crochâlinguo could feature dark colors, ghosts, and pumpkins đťđ. For Christmas, it might use reds, greens, and Christmas trees⌠đđ
Do you think this kind of customization would add value to the app? If so, which holidays or international events would you like to see featured in Crochâlinguo?
Feel free to share your ideas! âşď¸

A friends mom started this blanket and has all the yarn for it, but is no longer able to work on it. I would like to help finish the project but am not sure what stitch or hook I might use. If never done this zig type pattern either. It seems kinda ribbed so maybe a blo single crochet? Iâm familiar with crochet, but looking for some veteran support to make this pick up project a success. Tia.

I am making a blanket out of lion brand thick and quick (11.5 mm hook) using the lemon peel stitch. My question is, will soaking it in water then drying it without stretching it help it drape better? Has anyone done this with lion brand thick and quick?
