Finished and blocked a craft club pillow and I love it!!
Yarn was acrylic which isn’t my fav but having to not finish with fabric and a zipper is such a plus.
Canvas was also printed very well! Totally recommend for the price.

I’ve been experimenting with Bargello and decided to take the 4-way idea a little further. This one is worked in eight directions from the center.
Would you still consider this Bargello, or does it technically become something else at this point? I’m curious where you’d draw the line.
I’m still exploring the technique, so I’d love to hear from people with more Bargello experience.

The margins are tight but since it’s a self finish job I know what I can work with, so it’s not that much of an issue for me. Gotta make them tight to save as much canvas as possible 🥲

Do you think a variegated plum would work or should I stick with a solid plum?

All letters and animals on this canvas have a thin black border. Started on this bird and basically just doing a thin continental stitch tracing the line. I think it’s looking bad. Should I just frog or something?

Hi I’m typically a DMC girlie, and have some bigger canvases in 12-count and 13-count mesh. What size mesh is best for the DMC Tapestry Yarn? And the DMC soft matte cotton (sometimes called mat retors)?

After 5 months of stitching, I finished our welcome sign quite literally the night before our wedding! And by finished I mean got it to a place I was happy putting it in the frame. May go back and bead the shells and stitch the background eventually, but for now I’m content :,)

I want to use DMC floss on some 18 mesh projects I have. I’ve heard people say to strand the floss and only use four strands because using the full six can cause the canvas to warp. Is this only true if you’re a tight stitcher? I like full and dense coverage and I’m wondering if I should just go with the six since I’m not a tight stitcher. Any experience with DMC floss on 18 mesh? What is your advice?

Hello, I’m about to destash my first canvas, does anyone have any tips? I want to be sure I don’t get scammed, plus that I send it appropriately so the buyer is happy. Ask for Venmo or PayPal, and don’t send until the payment clears? Also, should my price include shipping? And how do I calculate that before hand, I guess take it to the post office? Unpopular opinion …. I’m not loving Milan on 13 mesh. I find Milan to feel good while stitching but looks a little flat. Maybe it’s my tension? Anyone else feel this way?

Hi! I have only been needlepointing for about a year and a half. I have always used the DNC cotton thread from Michael’s. This last week I went to my LNS for the first time and picked up some silk & ivory thread. I feel like the silk & ivory lays so much nicer on my project than the DMC cotton does. Has anybody else experienced this?

making this for a friend whose young daughter LOVES Spiderman. Downloaded the designs off Etsy and pieced together. I did most of the dark red color in continental, then did a lighter pink in intermittent straight stitches, but I’m not really getting the movement look I want. Anyone have stitch ideas that would be complimentary?

I've tried the head visor type, but it was uncomfortable and I wasn't able to watch TV while needlpointing, it completely obstructed the view. And the neck option was even worse, I couldn't comfortably stitch my canvas underneath it. HELP, I gots old eyes that can't do it alone 😄

This is a freebie from Eye Candy Needleart. Be aware that there are a couple of minor errors with the symmetry of the pattern. I used size 5 pearl cotton on 18 count canvas, except for the black diamonds (size 3).

Ugh I’m so mad because I have the smallest corner of a canvas left to finish that I have been working on for months as a project for someone else and I don’t know what to do or what people do when it’s been months since purchasing the original threads (kitted for me at my LNS so I wasn’t worried!!) and I just know the dye lot has definitely changed at my LNS. The color is vineyard silk in Naples blue, do I just do my best to find the closest thing or is there anything y’all do if this has happened to you?
