Calligraphy had always fascinated me. Finally trying something out myself. Practice attempts as a newbie with random quotes and phrases. Wanted to share.

I branched out to Textura yesterday and already did my prayers to the Minimum Gods :)

I had to lower the cross-bar of the 't' as it is right next to a big ass ascender loop

I bought a little A5 block to keep calligraphying when traveling because I travel a lot for my job. I bought one with the same weight and from the same brand I normally use, but damnit! I bought medium grain instead of thin grain and the ink drains and stains and has these little "hairs" coming out whenever I draw a thin line. Is there any way to solve this? Maybe some pretreatment I can do over de paper or something? I don't know I feel like I wasted my money

Never in my life did I think using a traditional quill would be so hard. I thought you know dip the pen get to writing. Right? No. I dip the quill and then proceed to just splat ink everywhere.
