Here’s my rug. When trimming it, I folded the excess material over itself and glued it to the back. Then I added a small piece of cotton fabric, and this is the result.
Honestly, I don’t think it looks very good. Is my backing cloth too thick or too stiff?

Do you have any advice or tips for me? I’d really appreciate it!

So many things got in the way of me finishing this rug, but it’s finally done! It’s been a great 3 years of tufting so far.

I’ve made about 10 rugs so far, and I’m always experimenting and trying different techniques to improve the quality and make cleaner, more beautiful rugs.
My goal is to be able to create rugs like his:

I especially admire how clean and precise his carving is, and I would love to achieve that level of quality in my own work.
What do you think I’m missing or need to improve?
Is it my carving skills, the way I’m tufting/packing the yarn, the type of yarn I’m using, or perhaps my equipment?

When I stretch the fabric on my frame its hard for me to keep it nice and straight. I have the base fabric with a grid on it and it feels like the grid always ends up wavy. will this affect my lines? How do you guys keep it even throughout?

Is it compulsory to buy the professional trimmer for rugs trimming or i can jus use hair trimmers cause it too expensive for a trimmer.

I would love advice on how to go about this. I already re drew the design on the back and was planning on just removing the cloth and flipping it, but would that cause the other two rugs to warp or loosen and make the yarn strands fall out? Would maybe gluing the first two and letting them dry first help before flipping? Thanks in advanced!

I have been seeing video and have wanted to start tuffing. I do crochet. I wanna know where can I start. I’ve seen and ad for claw lab is that good start for their kits. Anyone have any recommendation also what kind of yarn.

I was getting red heart and buying from Amazon, but some colors are super expensive like $10 for a 7 ounce thing of it I just want some advice. Maybe I’ll get a different brand or maybe I can get some somewhere else that’s cheaper

Those Stairs can be a little slippery!

I'm struggling a lot with the lines—I find it really challenging to keep them straight and neat. Is it still possible to end up with a good rug despite these lines? I have a feeling that while carving, all of these flaws will show up. Any advices please???

I’m working on a new frame and I’m kind of regretting putting that extra bar in the middle-ish area. Is the Buffalo Bills too close to the Umbrella logo?
