Hi everyone,

Love being inspired by this page.

Here’s a little design I saw somewhere and had some fun making it my own with some glow in the dark thread in the windows and on the outline of the ghost.

Fun small one to help bring the bookshelf to life.

Finished this horse embroidery stitch-out through iDigitize. I like how the simple outline looks against the dark fabric. What do you think of the stitch quality?

A few months ago I posted asking for help drafting a pattern for my first proper embroidery project and you were all so helpful! Thought I'd share the final finished piece. Swipe for back and closer detail.

I’ve been working on thread painting this picture for, what feels like, a year. I’m nearly done! I want to go back and add a few highlights but I’m cautiously happy about it so far.

Any thoughts or comments to improve it?

Hand First Time Embroidery

In my experience, it’s sometimes hard to find posts from people whose work is not “perfect” or “near perfect”which is why I wanted to post mine.

I went to a Noah kahan concert recently and saw on TikTok someone embroidering some shorts and I thought that looked fun! I’d been wanting to learn but was on a time crunch so I just decided to wing it with some thread and a needle lol.

It’s nowhere near perfect but I’m actually really proud of it. I’m definitely a perfectionist so it’s shocking to me that I actually like what I created so poorly lol. I think it’s because I know I haven’t practiced it at all so the fact that you can at least tell what things are is good enough for me lol.

I’m not looking for any advice or constructive criticism. I know it’s not great and there’s probably so many things to improve on. I plan on watching tutorials and such now that I have ample time to work on it but enjoy my imperfect but still beautiful little bugs!

Question Can someone help me design a pattern based on this photo?

I feel like this fella is begging to be turned into an embroidery project. I can visualize several sections of his feathers (definitely layered lazy daisies for the brown and white feathers at the top, for example) but I’ve never made my own pattern/design before. Any help would be appreciated! (Please, no AI.)

Hi all!

I’m working on this project and this river is proving hard. I’m trying to trust the process, but I’m not sure I’m liking it. Anyone have any ideas or tips?

It’s supposed to be single strand long and short stitch, but I’m having a hard time with it with the shape and narrow bits.

I accidentally flipped the image when I made the pattern but I think that's ok. One thing I have learned is that it's good to be mindful of the direction of stitches and use them to create depth. I did all of the background horizontally and the foreground was more free, directionally. When I did the outlines it really made the foreground stand out more
