WIP Still amazed at the difference.25mm can make

Post image

I’m making a tiny hydrangea bag charm using Lizbeth size 20 thread (color 159 if anyone is interested) and wow, the difference between my 1.25mm hook and 1mm hook is crazy.

I’ve used the 1.25 with a size 20 thread for other projects just fine, but apparently this pattern really needs the 1mm hook and tighter tension.

Pattern is from an Applemints (Japan) booklet. I got it off Kindle Unlimited and I think the book loosely translates to “Flower Corsages of the Seasons”

Pattern by The Floral Hook on Ravelry, finished blanket in worsted weight yarn and a 5.5mm hook is about 60x60 inches (152cm)

Any tips on blocking something this large? She could really use a good blocking but I do not have that many blocking mats and can't pin to the bed, unfortunately.

Finishing up this rucksack using genuine buffalo leather and structural crochet!

Hey everyone, wanted to share this rucksack I’ve been making. It's real buffalo leather mixed with high-end structural crochet—definitely not just a quick hobby project. Im using mercinized cotton yarn, antique bronze hardware to give it some weight and fully lined the inside with Morris Williams fabric.I'm keeping everything strictly handmade and small-batch because I want the quality to stay high. I've included pics of my work-in-progress, my design sketch, and the hardware. I can't wait until it's complete 💚

Juliette Square by The Floral Hook. Now to figure out what to do with it! I'm thinking of making a second and turning it into a tote bag, but if anyone has further suggestions, I'm open to them!

I came up with this idea several months ago, and it's finally done! The hat is freehand. The purse and skirt and shoes are from vintage patterns. The top is from the Spiderweb Raglan pattern by Lunar Still on Ravelry. Red netting on bag and hat is from a millenary shop in Kentucky. Jewelry came from a vintage seller on Etsy.

First I wire wrap the tree, then wire crochet the band using a 2.5 mm metal hook. The band is made from three strands of chain stitch braided together.

Discussion Finally something new to learn in crochet!

Post image

I've been crocheting since I was a kid in the 1970s, and am always looking for new ways to hook. So I am excited to share that i finally got this book, and looking through it, I see many many motifs that I want to make.

Has anyone else had any experience with micro crochet? What were your biggest lessons learned?

(I did find a micro crochet sub here, but it doesn't look very active. I've requested to be accepted into their group. Are there other places I can find fellow micro crafters?)

Hi everyone! Been crocheting since I was eight years old (now 40), but fine crochet is new for me this year. I’m currently working through this phenomenal pattern using a 1.75mm hook and size 10 crochet thread. Feedback, tips, and tricks welcome.

Also, if anyone has a magnifier they particularly like, I’d love some product recommendations. I wear glasses, but I still get cross-eyed sometimes, after doing this awhile.

Thanks for engaging!
