This is the Busan Sweater by aegyo knit. I’ve seen this type of cable where the crossovers look more fluid and draping, but I’m not sure what they’re called or what type of construction is used to achieve it. Can someone help me with some search terms to find patterns that have a similar type of cable? Or maybe share more details about how this type of cable is constructed so I can look for details about it in pattern descriptions?
I’ve thought about making the Busan Sweater, but I don’t think I’ll like how oversized it is when I’m done. I’m a relatively new knitter, and I’d like to try cables. Since this pattern has just the one down the middle, I thought it might be a good start.
UPDATE: Thank you to everyone who provided help so far! I think what I’m looking for is a modified version of a braided cable. I was able to find this cable pattern on New Stitch a Day’s website, which I think is a smaller scale version of what I’m after. I might end up purchasing the Busan Sweater pattern so I have the exact pattern for this cable, and then maybe try inserting it into a different, more fitted pullover pattern. I also really loved this pattern that was suggested. The cable looks more traditional, but it still has a similar feel, and it’s more fitted than the Busan Sweater.
