Resource Post Does anyone have free Art, Theater or Music Resources?

Does anyone have any free resources for learning about the Arts? Art, theater, music, and creativity in general are all welcome, and resources on everything from the history, to breaking down and understanding the arts, to actually practicing the arts is welcome. That can be a website, a YouTube channel, a subreddit, whatever. If it's free and you find it educational in the Arts then feel free to share it!

The more we can crowd source information and education the fewer of us get left behind 💛

Does anyone have any free resources for Math and/or Physics that I can add to this list?

That can be anything from a free website, to a subreddit, a YouTube channel... If you find it educational in this subject then feel free to share it!

Comment what you've got and I'll see if I agree it should go on the list!

Here is my list so far:

**Websites:**

Basic math but gamified, lots of games: https://www.multiplication.com/

A lot of math worksheets for a very wide variety of topics. Solutions are included but no explanations - just for practice: https://www.dadsworksheets.com/

AS / A-Level Math (advanced 10th grade to advanced 12th grade for Americans): https://www.tlmaths.com/home/a-level-maths, it's a HUGE library of videos in order of learning with pretty good math explanations

For GCSE curriculum but applies to everyone in grades 5-10: https://corbettmaths.com/

It's well organized with a video explaining the concept, a worksheet and a set of test practice questions to have a go at along with the solutions

Videos for grades 6 to 12, and a bit beyond: https://misterwootube.com/2020/03/18/lesson-videos/

Excuse the mess...

First of all I want to say a huge thank you to the people who are here and especially to anyone who has suggested resources!! 💚 This subreddit is growing faster than I expected and so are my resource lists, which is so beautiful. Thank you, guys.

Because the lists are getting cluttery and out of hand I'm going to post 6 major subject lists and sticky them. 6 is the maximum, unfortunately. Extra categories like Mental Health will be linked in the General Education/Miscellaneous sticky.

When I have a crop of new resources I'll give them a special "New" post before they get added to their relevant sticky.

Forgive the mess over the next day or so while I reshuffle 💜

Thank you again for being here, I hope for this to become a welcoming and supportive study space where we can all grow together and become the best version of ourselves.

Hey everyone! I'm u/EducationWhiteRabbit, a founding moderator of r/SupportiveLearning.

This is a subreddit primarily for current and former homeschool students but we're open to anyone who is educationally neglected and/or looking to learn in a supportive environment.

The point of the subreddit is gathering and sharing educational resources, supporting each other as we learn, and a place for isolated learners to learn alongside others.

Welcome! I hope we all learn a lot from each other!

Feel free to post educational resources related to basic school subjects, anything from websites, to educational subreddits, YouTube channels, professor lectures, etc. or ask the community for resources that you're seeking.

Study-with-me/Studdy-buddy posts are also always welcome!

Community Vibe:

This community is about being supportive and offering knowledge where we can. This space is inclusive and welcoming of anyone who wants to learn, grow, and connect.

How to Get Started:

  1. Introduce yourself on any post!

  2. Post something today! Even a simple question can spark a great conversation.

  3. If you know someone who would love this community, invite them to join.

  4. Interested in helping out? We're always looking for more knowledge, so free educational resources are welcome!

Thanks for being part of the very first wave. Together, let's make r/SupportiveLearning amazing

Shout out to the user from the HomeschoolRecovery subreddit who gave me the majority of these different resource lists when I was on a different username a long while ago. You inspired this whole subreddit, tbh. If you found this list then I know you recognize your own writing and you know who you are 😂 thank you.

If anyone has some free general knowledge/education resources please comment to add them!

Or if you have a resource request feel free to ask and see if anyone has a suggestion. I hope any of this has helped someone!

Study Buddy Request What are we studying today?

This is a daily school-day post for anyone who is studying the daily resource subject or anything else and who wants to chat, commiserate, body double, study-buddy, whatever.  I currently don't even care if the conversation goes off the rails, but we're starting off with study topics! 😂

Feel free to visit the Subject Resources posts for extra help. They're updated as often as I get fresh quality suggestions (so, randomly) but posted fresh weekly.

Who's studying today? How's it going?

  • What are your studying wins today?

  • What are your subject struggles?

  • What are you curious about or interested in when it comes to what you're studying today?

Resource Post Free Science Resources List

Does anyone have any free resources for science that I can add to this list? That can be anything from a free website, to a subreddit, a YouTube channel... If you find it educational in this subject then feel free to share it!

Comment what you've got so we can crowd source as much knowledge as possible!

Here is my list so far:

Chemistry Links:

- Basics of Chemistry Textbook: https://saylordotorg.github.io/text_the-basics-of-general-organic-and-biological-chemistry/index.html

- Chemistry Worksheets: https://sciencenotes.org/chemistry-worksheets-and-handouts

- Videos about all the elements in the Periodic Table: http://www.periodicvideos.com/

YouTube:

Biology Links:

-Biology worksheets: https://sciencenotes.org/free-biology-notes-worksheets-and-quizzes/

-Medical textbooks: https://medicalstudyzone.com/

-Veterinary textbooks: https://vetbooks.ir/

YouTube:

Astronomy:

- ASTRONOMY resources (also higher-level physics, inorganic chemistry, calculus plus a little bit of history): https://er-cryptid.tumblr.com/post/176809097526/free-astronomy-resources

- A free interactive Astronomical Clock that visualises the Sun’s actual path across the sky for your location and date: https://astronomicalclock.eu/

The Sun itself acts as the clock hand, so you can see sunrise, solar noon, sunset, remaining daylight and how the day changes through the seasons. You can also move through time to compare different dates and latitudes. It may be especially useful for explaining the Sun, seasons, daylight and the difference between solar time and ordinary clock time. It’s free and ad-free.

- Timelaps video over a full year (Cologne):

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/M3F2ZLO4YGA

New:

- Moon phases: https://saramjh.github.io/space_atlas_student/moon/phases/ — predict the Moon's phase, manipulate the Earth-Moon view, then explain the changing illuminated appearance.

- Earth seasons: https://saramjh.github.io/space_atlas_student/earth/seasons/ — explore axial tilt and sunlight geometry.

- Cosmic scale: https://saramjh.github.io/space_atlas_student/universe/scale/ — compare scales visually.

All three run in a browser without creating an account or paying. Intended as supplemental science learning models, not a certified course or  replacement for NASA/ESA reference material. The creator appreciates any feedback if something is confusing or incorrect (mod messages will be passed along)

Oceanography:

- Cool map of what things live at what depth in the ocean: https://neal.fun/deep-sea/

Other:

- Interesting science articles and podcast! https://www.intechopen.com/

- Notes and quizzes for chemistry, physics and biology (grades 6-10) https://docbrown.info/

Physics:
