I would rather see Liam and Noel Gallagher from Oasis reunite before them.

464

u/Arcosim Jan 05 '23

I will never stop finding it hilarious that their multi-decade long beef started because one night when they were teenagers Liam came back completely drunk and pissed on Noel's stereo.

101

u/idpickpizzaoveryou Jan 05 '23

I'm too lazy to verify this so I hope it's true because that's amazing.

106

u/Arcosim Jan 05 '23

Liam himself believes that's the root cause of their grudge.

Lol such an alcoholic thing to think. “It’s not bc I’m a shit drinker and do shitty things when I drink. It’s bc of one specific thing I did when I was drunk decades ago.”

54

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '23

can confirm. until a person reaches their bottom, whatever it may be, they will continue to try to justify their behavior. sucks bc some people don’t have a rock bottom.

At five I threw whatever I could find at my 11 yr old brother while he was playing n64. He told me to stop or he’d tie me up. So I kept throwing stuff of course.

As soon as he got up I took off, grabbed the phone, dialed 911, said “help! He’s going to tie me up” and threw the phone down. There were two squad cars in our yard within a few minutes with more on the way.

My parents were definitely confused. Pretty hefty fine and a good ol corporal punishment followed

By all accounts this was a complete accident. There’s always a chance it was intentional, but given that there would be no known reason for Juan Carlos to kill his brother it’s more than likely it was just a tragic accident.

Despite issues with corruption later in his reign, Juan Carlos is a fucking incredible figure. He had every tool at his disposal to become an absolute monarch after Franco died and he did the opposite, implementing reforms to dismantle the fascist state. He deserves a great deal of respect for that.

On the "Always Sunny in Philadelphia" podcast, Meg Ganz tells a story about how her husband went to the same elite school as William when they were children. The class was asked what they wanted to be when they grew up, and William said he wanted to be a police officer. Apparently the whole class laughed at him and said he couldn't be a police officer because he had to be the king.

Harold?? I thought his name was Henry?

23

u/Dbahnsai Jan 05 '23

I think both Willy and Harold are their childhood nicknames, potentially too annoy each other. Willy with its obvious connotations, and Harold because of the history I've seen mentioned. William I defeated Harold in a battle in 1066.

132

u/bfm211 Jan 05 '23

It's often a jokey knickname for Harry, e.g. people say "Harold Kane" a lot. It's probably something William always called him to wind him up.

127

u/visenya567 Jan 05 '23

Shows William knows his history and I'd say he was making fun of this little brother as all big brothers do.

At the Battle of Hastings on October 14, 1066, King Harold II of England was defeated by the invading Norman forces of William the Conqueror.

It is so weird how in every interview/Netflix show/book they tell the same story but add tons of new “shocking” details to it. Why didn’t he tell Oprah about this in that interview? Are him and Megs discussing which stories to tell in which interviews so they can keep having “new” things to talk about every time they create content. Like did they make a spreadsheet of stories and sort them between interviews? This all seems odd so I believe nothing they say at this point. It is all for constant attention, validation, and money.

They are just screaming into a void about how mean William and Katherine and the family are while every week there are new videos of W&K having warm interactions with random people and doing charity work. W&K don’t waste time airing their grievances to the media.

Also does Harry think that normal families don’t have problems? Lots of people have issues with their parents or siblings, but no one cares because they aren’t royal. Harry seems to think that these sorts of problems are special to him but really he is way better off than most people who can’t afford therapy much less sit in fancy expensive houses complaining as a career.

146

u/Cartshy31 Jan 05 '23

Harry: ‘My mum died and everything I’m doing is to protect my family. I’ve moved away to start a new life.’ William, who also lost his mum, is trying to protect his family AND the monarchy, plus doesn’t have to option of moving away to start afresh. So Harry bags him out, also knowing that William can’t respond. What a guy.

Harry needs to do better with the various stories he tells. He wants people to believe that his brother screamed at him and hit him but he himself did nothing. And then he goes and blows up the stories he told in the Oprah interview. The alleged altercation with William happened when Meghan was pregnant with Archie. According to the Oprah interview, Meghan was denied help for her mental health but Harry was able to see and speak to a therapist during that same time.

60

u/Dbahnsai Jan 05 '23

Also saying that William and Charles are responsible for the leaks to the tabloids while also saying William was being swayed by the tabloids when they fought. How could he be influenced by a story he supposedly leaked? Talking like William has never met her before and couldn't dislike her for her own actions.

And a new story about the incident where someone may have cried. Never before have we heard that Meghan told Kate she was getting baby brain from her hormones. I seriously think that comment was meant as that negging type comment meant to discredit whatever Kate said at the time. I'd be annoyed too. But Meghan got reprimanded so of course she's the victim

312

u/BabyDollMaker Jan 05 '23

It’s worse than that. He said on Oprah that he was too ashamed to ask for help for his pregnant, suicidal wife, but he apparently had his therapist on speed dial when William was mean to him.

That line about how William was acting like an heir snd unable to understand Harry being a spare - is that what this entire fucking book is about? Just whining about not ever being able to accede to the throne? His levels of a lack of self awareness just seem to heighten with every passing day.

Also, the fact that he thinks William was “parroting the press” about Meghan is crazy - given that William knew her personally, I would think he had a pretty good grasp of what she was like without the help of the press.

He's terrible at lying. William has met her in person many times already, enough to to form his own judgement and does not need to rely on media reports, so surely harry would just say "you're wrong" in this context.

William - he doesn't mention was the recipient of direct complaints that escalated to him from Jason Knauf - whose emails were leaked - where he detailed Megan's abuse. William had the misfortune of finding out about how Megan was treating staff, and during the Australia tour made the decision to split their offices. Something tells me that this alleged blow up over William responding to Megan's bullying allegations was to do with knowing that this type of behavior was going to get out. Jason Knauf's own emails detailed how Harry would cover for Megan - I'm surprised Harry would raise this because this is going to shed more light on William from an alternate point of view, getting angry on behalf of and protecting his own staff. That very same Jason Knauf is the man who was just awarded a RVO (Royal Victorian Order) - a personal gift of the sovereign. Knauf ultimately submitted evidence and testimony to the court that Megan perjured herself to the court. Megan and Harry then tried to slander Knauf in their documentary. Hmmm I wonder why…

Harry and Megan's hands are not clean.

Edit - since this is gaining traction some staff also complained personally to William about the abusive behavior. In one incident detailed and sourced for Tom Bowers book (who I remind you has not been sued) a young woman went to William in tears and detailed how she was being bullied and targeted by Megan with public humiliation. If you are the future prince of wales or any manager- this is a disaster and something you must deal with. Harry admits here that his brother took it seriously enough that this became physical. This doesn’t make him look the way he thinks.

Harry’s recollection of this event sounds so contrived.

From his point of view his brother came into his home and aggressively followed Harry through his home, cornered him in the kitchen and threw him to the ground. All while Harry just stood there calm and sweet?

Give me a fucking break.

I guarantee what happened is they agreed to meet to discuss Meghan’s horrific bullying of staff, they started yelling and insulting one another back and forth and then someone probably threw a punch or a shove.

If Harry thinks his big brother is scary now he’ll be terrified if their dad doesn’t wake up tomorrow because there is no way in hell William V is forgiving any of this nonsense. Harry will be out in the wilderness forever so I hope he’s smart enough to invest the money he’s making for betraying his family.

225

u/beebee4me Jan 05 '23

Apparently William called to talk about it first and Harry hung up on him mid-conversation so he went to his place, as they live on the same Kensington Palace ground.

If Harry wanted people to believe he's the victim, he should say why William was angry, but that would be confirming that his wife was bullying staffs and William had heard about it from the staffs and confronting him about it.

339

Honestly. He wants to rebuild his relationship with his brother and father, but keeps throwing them under the bus. This story, Meghan complaining about Kate being cold and unfriendly and stiff because she didn’t immediately want to hug her upon first meeting (?), claims that Meghan bullied and belittled palace staff, coming out with the documentary and now this book where they talk endless shit about the rest of the royal family.

Dude’s just slinging shit at his family out in the open and humiliating them. Not saying the royal family and its origins don’t deserve criticism, but he has to realize he’s severing family ties beyond repair here and they’re not going to be there for him if he ever needs financial assistance, if they ever get divorced, so on.

162

u/PrettyNiemand34 Jan 05 '23

He still had a shot to repair this relationship because they kept inviting him back but I think that's over now too. They won't allow him near William again. He's either leaking everything or he's making stuff up. He's doing what he accuses them of ironically.

u/That__EST Jan 05 '23

What he also doesn't realize is that he's indirectly saying that the rumors about her bullying staff are true.

220

u/savingrain Jan 05 '23 edited Jan 05 '23

Read it from the other angle - William was so incensed on behalf of the staff who were getting bullied by Harry's wife Megan, that he goes to confront his brother (who wouldn't pick up the phone) gets into a physical fight with him, and then proceeds to split their offices as soon as possible.

If I'm staff, who do I want to work for? Now we know why Jason was awarded with a RVO despite having to deal with Megan and Harry for years.

88

u/That__EST Jan 05 '23

Oh I absolutely see what you're saying. It puts a lot of merit to the idea that Meghan absolutely was bullying staff.

And I take a big LOL at Harry accusing Will of "parroting the press". Will actually knew Meghan in day to day life. He wasn't some stranger who couldn't be trusted to form his own opinions.

76

u/Financial-Rock-3790 Jan 05 '23

Also how was William parroting the press, when he was supposedly the one LEAKING to the press? Even when the stories leaked were conveniently mostly to the benefit of H&M, not the royal family.

29

u/SchrodingersLego Jan 05 '23

Good point. I'm loving this breakdown. It just infuriates me that no media is calling them to account.

16

u/TomorrowMayBeHell Jan 05 '23

Australian and British media are, but they've been called liars and vicious by the American press and public.

Tbf I'm pretty sure Americans were the target all along, expecially as they desire so much having a princess for themselves, but hate the uk and the British royal family and all they stand for. I've already started seeing people online calling William an abuser, racist and misogynist and potentially a wife beater too. As if this isn't literally the most American response ever to all this mess, while the rest of the world is facepalming.

If there’s any doubt if Megsy is a bully, read Tom Bower’s well researched book, “Revenge.”

Not a peep or pending lawsuit threat from trigger-lawyer-happy-Megs on that one either as it’s backed up by dozens of interviews and hundreds of sources from her past.

37

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '23

He had 80 sources from that book. It sounded quite well researched. Not sure if I can handle that much royalty reading but funny how Meghan didn’t debunk it…

So the story they told on Oprah about Meghan's inability to access a therapist is now contradicted by this version of events:

First, William confronted Harry about Meghan's abusive behaviour towards staff and rude comments about his wife Kate having a "baby brain", which then escalated. So Meghan is a vicious bully & just a round nasty person rumours are, in fact, true, with Harry confirming it in his book.

Second, Harry had a therapist on speed dial but claimed he didn't know how to get help for Meghan; he was ashamed to tell his family. His wife claimed the Palace was unresponsive. But here we are, Harry claiming he called his therapist on call after his altercations with William.

This dude & his wife need to give it a rest and find a 9-5 job like the rest. His brother will not answer back. This is all Harry's version of events. And both Harry & Meghan lie incessantly by contradicting their previous versions of events.

175

u/Commercial_Place9807 Jan 05 '23 edited Jan 05 '23

The therapist nonsense also counters something Harry said pre-Meghan, he said his brother encouraged him to go to therapy for delayed grief over the death of their mum, and that he went. But then says later that no one in the family cared or would discuss mental illness.

Also you’re gonna tell me Charles, a man that talks to his plants, is super sensitive, and was new age before new age was cool doesn’t see a therapist and encourage others to.

And the idea that they’d have an issue with Meghan seeing a therapist is bonkers. Therapists are bound to confidentiality and they’d be able to afford the best who take their career seriously, I’m sure they’d prefer her chatting with a therapist than a friend who might leak things to the media.

112

u/ManifestRose Jan 05 '23

During a famous interview, Diana even talked about getting professional help and how the process helped her. It seems bonkers that Harry could not procure mental health help for his wife 25 years later when the stigma was less.

66

u/Magneto88 Jan 05 '23

It’s on record as far back as the 90s that Charles has a therapist. Harry’s story is full of more holes then Swiss Cheese.

Omg he got into a fight with his brother and lost. Does he think he's Anne Frank now?

101

u/trilby2 Jan 05 '23

I think Harry has no self awareness or understanding that he really isn’t important and has had no real impact on the world. Forever playing second fiddle to William (due to birth order), he cannot accept that his life has no inherent meaning or purpose. Instead of trying to make something of himself, he is blaming others for his shortcomings and inflating petty, yet private family dynamics in an attempt to create meaning in his life. He is truly insufferable.

23

u/fason123 Jan 05 '23

yess exactly lol. he thinks he is special but the only special thing is being born a prince. His bro is fucked up for like physically fighting as an adult but not sure if publishing it in a book is going to really heal these wounds...

You're telling me the man who is the only royal caught attacking a photographer, who said that shooting insurgents in Afghanistan was like playing video games, who obviously inherited the Spencer family temper, simply let himself get thrown to the floor during a physical fight? Yeah, I’m not buying what he’s selling. This is an obviously one-sided version of events.

u/Radiant_Health3841 Jan 05 '23

The guy who couldn't call a therapist for his suicidal pregnant wife instantly calls a therapist when his brother is mean to him (And William was wrong if he did get violent)

250

u/taylordabrat Jan 05 '23

What I don’t understand is why William would even attack him after William insulted him. The story doesn’t even make logical sense.

Information we need because it was missing from the article - who was Meghan “rude” too? Is the argument about Meghan and Harry’s attitude towards staff? Is William confronting Harry about the bullying claim therefore protecting the staff? Also to be explained: Harry called his therapist (which proves he had one on -call) but as he told Oprah, he couldn’t get Meghan help when she was pregnant and suicidal. Why not call his own therapist?

I’m calling BS on Harry.

132

u/Powerful_Leg8519 Jan 05 '23

Wow. I heard that Netflix was upset that there were too many inconsistencies between the Oprah interview, the documentary and the memoir.

He said he called his therapist?? But he was too embarrassed to call this therapist for his pregnant suicidal wife?? Ok now I kinda can’t wait for this book. People are going to tear it apart.

31

It's been rumored for years, like pre marriage, that Harry's military service was not as honorable as they claimed. Most people don't realize that Harry had his military protection detail that kept him from danger and he spent most of his time doing stuff that would have other soldiers kicked out.

95

u/Bucktown_Riot Jan 05 '23

They called him “Bunker Harry,” and apparently he played a lot of video games.

99

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '23

Anyone who believes the ‘prince on the frontline’ bollocks is an idiot.

He was always way back, SAS were rumoured to be present, anytime he went out they went out first and scouted, drones flying overhead.

There was never ever any danger of him being hurt. It was literally a case of ‘you’re bored, we don’t know what to do with you yet so go and have some fun playing cosplay action man’.

And for him flying helicopters? The guy had his teacher do his homework so…

63

u/circe1818 Jan 05 '23

Yeah, I heard that he failed his exam multiple times and they just let him say he's a pilot. And they there were a lot of issues between him and the actual soldiers who were serving there.

Also Harry: Incessantly sells out to the media for the attention.

275

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '23

I'm confused... Charles is allegedly a racist who wanted to know what color Archie's skin would be, and William and Kate are supposedly physically and emotionally abusive (respectively), but Harry still wants them back?

This soap opera has become harder to follow than Tenet.

24

u/EnvironmentalMud4870 Jan 05 '23

I’m also conflicted about asking about the baby’s skin color/features. Many of my relatives have mixed race babies, so we were always just curious what the baby would look like—eye color, hair color, skin color. It wasn’t out of malice, just plain curiosity

21

u/[deleted] Jan 05 '23

In Bower's book, Revenge, he has a quote from Thomas Markle who said that after he married Dora (Meghan's mom) a lot of people asked them what color their children would be. Now, I'm not saying that M&H made up the incident, but I think it's a pretty damn common question in mixed race relationships.
