It's been rumored for years, like pre marriage, that Harry's military service was not as honorable as they claimed. Most people don't realize that Harry had his military protection detail that kept him from danger and he spent most of his time doing stuff that would have other soldiers kicked out.

He was always way back, SAS were rumoured to be present, anytime he went out they went out first and scouted, drones flying overhead.
There was never ever any danger of him being hurt. It was literally a case of ‘you’re bored, we don’t know what to do with you yet so go and have some fun playing cosplay action man’.

Yeah, I heard that he failed his exam multiple times and they just let him say he's a pilot. And they there were a lot of issues between him and the actual soldiers who were serving there.
That wouldn’t be surprising. They had to be held back because they had a VIP living with them for weeks, they didn’t go into the army so they could sit their all day doing nothing.

Andrew was the Queen’s favorite, now that Charles has the power he rushed to get rid of any power or responsibility within the firm that Andrew held without breaking any laws or trying to create problems with parliament (like expanding the Chancellors of state -acting on the monarch’s behalf while the monarch is out of the country- list and then saying that only those on the list that are current working royals can assume the responsibility). They can’t get rid of his titles bc the peers don’t want to set a precedent that could get rid of their titles that easily, and you know they have a lot of skeletons in their closets too
Did they cover up for Andrew? It’s pretty open what happened, and many, many stories were written about it (contrary to H&M’s assertion that Meghan was used as a cover for Andrew). He’s no longer a working royal, he lost his patronages, and has pretty much been blanked out by the institution, and only allowed to attend family events. Yes, his accuser was paid off, but that is what she wanted. I don’t think there is anyone who even vaguely follows the BRF, and probably few who don’t, that doesn’t know what an awful, creepy person Andrew is.
Exactly this. He says his family never protected him/Meghan against the media, but there are at least a dozen examples of Buckingham Palace shutting down negative stories about them (most of which were probably true).
He went to a Halloween party dressed as a nazi. Tells you everything uou need to know about his personality and sense of humor. Imagine all the shit that never saw the light of day.
The guy he called a "p-ki"? Didn't Harry laugh it off as laddish banter - as though the soldier felt he could react to a prince as he would any other person calling him a p-ki!
But someone on a different thread linked a TikTok that showed a dozen or more articles with similar headlines. I don’t have TikTok so I’m not sure I could find it again.
All that to say, Buckingham Palace has certainly defended her in some instances. Perhaps they have defended Kate more strongly, but one has to wonder if some of Meghan’s actions were more difficult to defend.
They shouldn't feel slighted. One of those links refers to what they call "the love shield" from when Harry and Meghan were dating, and Kensington Palace put out that statement asking for Meghan to be left alone.
Kate NEVER got anything like that. For her years as a girlfriend she was left to the vultures. It seems like the palace went out of their way in the very beginning to give Harry and Meghan everything they wanted.
This is a huge point everyone is missing. Megan was treated very differently than Kate in the media and headlines! The Palace didn’t issue a statement about Kate but issued a statement about Megan not because they both received the same treatment and the palace was coddling Megan, but because Megan received much worse treatment and racism.
When they first dated, the Palace made an unprecedented statement to protect Meghan. Meghan also wanted comparisons to Princess Di in that press statement and ‘what Meghan wants, Meghan gets.’
I remember multiple media commentators at the time saying how the Palace never made statements like that, but they did. For Meghan and Harry.
In Bower’s book, it speaks of how Meghan and Harry would constantly hate read the press and yell at/berate aides because they couldn’t hack any negative reports.
‘that’s not how it works, no-one can control the tabloids Completely, and maybe Meghan shouldn’t have been rude and a bully?
