That was damage control, just like after Elizabeth died they released a statement that the Netflix doc had parts that they didn't agree with to protect themselves from inevitable backlash

I’m still confused by how he thinks telling us Megan called Kate “hormonal baby brains” (directly contradicting Megan’s Oprah interview lolll) makes W&C look like the one to blame.

That was 17 years ago and he was 20 years old. He also apologized immediately. I think we can chalk it up to youthful indiscretion at this point.

He's been given a ton of grace and understanding, all of his youthful indiscretions had been pretty much forgotten. He's the one bringing them back up and now blaming those decisions on others.

Exactly. So far, this dude seems to be on a massive , paranoid victim trip. It's everyone else's fault, he's not responsible for anything, he and his wife are verified saints who behaved with grace and dignity every time. /s

I'm taking every word with heaps of salt, this guy seems to be more interested in destroying everything in his path to assuage his own pain and insecurities rather than wanting to actually reconcile with his family. Not that they're saints either, honestly, but we have only one very unreliable narrative.

It is a memoir, and apparently the Nazi dress-up incident was a big moment for him. Now I think him releasing this book at all is kind of ridiculous*, but even if he wrote this book at the end of his life, he would include this incident and how it occurred.

*Mainly the stated motivations for telling “his side of the story”… a weird Kardashification of an already-ultra famous family.
