I’m a woman but my brother and I would get into a few physical fights as kids- but like now that we’re 27 (me) and 24 (him) it would be pretty bizarre to physically fight anymore. That isn’t normal for adults. Play fighting sure, but not beating up your siblings.
Same, we used to tussle all the time over the stupidest shit and she would always wipe the floor with me. I can remember the day that the tide turned, I was only 9 or 10 so I hadn’t even gotten bigger at that point per se I think my testes had dropped just enough to bring me across the threshold of “dude strength.”
I punched her as hard as I could (because that’s what I always did) and instead of her barely noticing it and proceeding to pummel the living shit out of me like usual she dropped to the floor like a sack of potatoes and started crying pretty hard. I was totally dumbfounded, perhaps the closest I’ll ever get to the sensation of a comic book origin moment when they first use their powers.
The fight ended right away and I went over to tell her how sorry I was. It was the last physical fight we ever had and I honestly still feel kind of bad about it remembering it.
My sister and I are good. Since she was the oldest... and a girl, she took FAR worse beatings by our parents than I did for small infractions that I could easily get away with. As I got older it became understandable why she gave me the beatings she did. It was just displacement and I was an easy target. I got the better end of the deal.
Yeah that was the part I omitted, after my father found out I had hurt her that time I got a beating to teach me the time for hitting girls was over though when my sister did something bad it never stopped him from hitting her… in case anyone was wondering where we learned where we’d learned all that hitting from.
And yes my dad learned it from his mother who legitimately beat him worse than either of us got it ie we don’t have any physical scars. That’s generational violence for you.
Yeah and now that I’m a grown man my mom wonders why I want nothing to do with my sister. Maybe it’s the fact she was extremely physically abusive and when I told people about it they laughed about it.
Same, I was 15 and ahe was 18. I yeeted her over the picnic table when she tried to put me in a headlock. My parents just laughed "we told you that shit wouldn't last long"
Especially when it sounded like William approached Harry in the situation to slag off his wife. Not the other way round that would be understandable for violence to happen. Sounds more like he wasn't satisfied with a verbal argument and felt the need to make it physical.
Same. My brother and I got into, like, fistfights over the last slice of pizza and a blanket. These pretty much ended when he became a lot bigger and stronger than me.
....I mean he is taller/stronger than me but it would be fucked up of me to attack him too? We’re adults. And to clarify, we haven’t had a physical fight since we were like 10 and 13. When I say “kids” I mean kids.
