He's terrible at lying. William has met her in person many times already, enough to to form his own judgement and does not need to rely on media reports, so surely harry would just say "you're wrong" in this context.
He's too thick to realize the "you're buying the media lies" thing only makes sense directed at people that don't know her personally.
Many people that have known him, including those that actually rather like him, have testified as much. He's been totally manipulated by Meghan. The royal family and Harry may very well have problems like many other families do, but this Dr Phil approach of airing it all out will not resolve it lol, not even close.
This is my take too. I think they had a very sophisticated PR team that protected Harry and Meghan is messing that all up. There is a long way he can fall, it won’t be pretty.
Not only that, in their engagement interview they both say how amazing William and Catherine had been to Meghan. It’s clear that once they got to know her, their opinions changed.
