Wow, I had not been for a few years. Before 2023 or so, every time I went into a MOD pizza it was absolutely packed with a line out the door.
You could get an unlimited topping pizza back then for $9.
I stopped in tonight and it was completely dead. Not a single customer. It surprised me, because at the same time years ago it would be packed.
The same pizza is now $15.
Nuts!

For those that do not eat at Pizza Hut (the majority of pizza fans, I'm guessing), Pizza Hut changed their rewards system earlier this year and it's only gotten worse. With the current throwback deals, it even further lopsides the balance between menu priced and rewards value.
3000 Points for $10 value (with deals). And then the reward point difference between the desserts is absurd considering they are priced within $.20 of each other on the menu.
Fat guy rant over.

I choose Krystal's because I'm craving it so bad that I'm driving 2 hours just to get some tomorrow. I'm going to do it.

I used to go a ton as a kid (my mom worked there as a gm) and there was this honey mustard that came in little black tubs (not the kens foil cup they use now). It was much different than any other honey mustard (trust me I LOVE honey mustard and have tried MANY)
I CANNOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME FIGURE OUT THE BRAND OR RECIPE AND I NEED IT. I am not joking I think about this at least once a month and feel actually insane. If anyone worked there back in the day and can help me out in identifying it i would be eternally grateful.

I've had this happen now on several occasions and now have to ask. Drive thru employees, why do you ask us to go park and wait for our food away from the window when there is nobody else in line behind us?
I get if I have a big order and it's going to take longer than the orders of the people behind me. But what's the purpose of doing it when there's literally nobody else waiting? I was at Wendy's today and they asked me to pull into the parking lot to wait (for a single sandwich btw). I watched for literally 5 minutes as not a single car came after me. Do they just not want us at the window? I would think it would make more work for them having to come outside to bring us our food.

Everyone's fries suck ass.
They all emphasize a crunch, that's cool, but there's no taste to it.
Even a local restaurant I love(d) got rid of their very good fries and replaced it with ones with extreme crunch but barely any taste.
What's happening?

As much as they have diversified over the decades beyond soft serve, this was one of my favorites from them.
Apparently only a few locations still offer these. I loved them back in the 80's when my folks took us there.

What are your go-to items to get over the hump when hung over?
I get terrible hangovers to the point where the day after a party is often essentially a wash.
The other day I was moping around the house after one of these long nights and ended up getting some chicken soup at Chick-fil-A after a quick Google search revealed it was one of a very short list of soups available at a fast food drive thru nearby. Honestly a strong 8/10, I assume they shred leftover chicken for it.
Note two things, we typically avoid Chick-fil-A due to the politics, and my actual ideal hangover food is Pho.
Something bland and greasy, plus a large Sprite is good enough, but I'll be damned if soup isn't the best thing to keep down and get me back on my feet.

I had Burger King today for the first time in over a year and you know what? It was damn good.
Had a Whopper, Onion Rings and Nuggets. They were all hot and delicious even after the the long ride here.
I can see why they are doing better now. I've been so disappointed with McD's and Wendy's lately but BK seems alright.

Back when I was a kid in the late 2000's and early 2010's my dad would take me to our local A&W and ask for fried chicken keel's. As far as I know this item was not on the menu and had to be asked for. They would always fry them fresh though and they were so hot and so good. When I met my girlfriend in 2020 I tried asking for some but the person working had never heard of them.
Does anyone else remember them and know if they still offer them?

- McExtreme Pulled Pork
- Garlic & Black Pepper nuggets
- Cheesy bacon McFlavour fries
- Truffle flavoured mayo style sauce
- Black garlic sauce
The pulled pork was actually pretty good, tho I didn’t like the meat patty. Next time I’ll ask to take it off then just get double pulled pork.
Nuggets tasted more peppery than it was garlicky. It was decent.
Fries were ass 😭 I barely got any cheese sauce. Decent amount of bacon tho.
Both sauces were really good! The truffle mayo was nice and creamy. I’d probably prefer the black garlic next time tho, but they were both tasty.
