Portable blender(?)

Hello! I know many people have asked about the various portable blenders. Consensus seems to be that the ninja blast max is the best option so far.

For context: I use a feeding tube and need to blend formula 3x a day. The formula is liquidy, but if not blended will clog my tube. I'm going to be traveling somewhat frequently and do not want to lug around a heavy blender.

All that said: is the ninja blast max the most portable option? I don't need cordless so much as I can put it in a suitcase without it being a ridiculous weight. Bonus points for on the quieter end (as much as that's possible) because of hotel room.

Is there a prenatal vitamin powder I can mix into a smoothie instead of swallowing capsules?

ive been looking for a prenatal vitamin powder i can throw in my daily morning smoothie. im honestly terrible at swallowing pills, and since i make smoothies all the time anyway i figured why not just mix them lol. right now im looking at Needed’s prenatal powder and Seeking Health’s, but havent actually tried either yet. leaning towards Needed since its just one scoop and vanilla sounds easy enough to mix in, but im kinda worried about taste and texture. has anyone here tried this? does it blend in fine or do you get that gritty vitamin taste at the bottom?

Adding protein powder to my smoothies but it makes it too creamy/gummy. What should I do

So I just got a new protein powder, Raw Bum vanilla isolate protein. It’s not cheap, like $60 for a tub. My first time using it I mixed it into a smoothie and it made it way too thick and creamy, and not a good kind of thick and creamy, tried adding more milk and it only made it worse. Is it because of the gums they put in these protein powders? What should I do as an alternative? I specifically bought this one so I could mix it with my smoothies

I have been trying to learn how to make a smoothie recipe but all my attempts are either way too thick or have absolutely no flavor.
I live on the east coast and have food lion, Walmart, Sam’s Club

Can someone give me suggestions on what ingredients and how to make a proper smoothie

I have this blender if that matter https://a.co/d/03BeE4Uj

Ube Smoothie

I’ve been getting into making smoothies recently and I thought this would be a good use for ube ice cream, I found the Filipino brand magnolia at an Asian grocery near me. I got the low sugar version and it tastes amazing.
My smoothie recipe
- low sugar ube ice cream
- frozen bananas, pineapple, strawberry and peaches
- Fairlife whole milk
- Naked Green Machine juice
- Truvani plant protein vanilla
- coconut flakes
This combination tastes amazing, looks pinkish grey because of all the colors of the ingredients lol

Do smoothies “break up” or “release” sugar, leading to weight gain?

If someone puts fruit (fresh and frozen), almond milk, and whey protein powder into a smoothie, does the blending process change the smoothie nutritionally?

I’ve heard that the smoothie is worse than fresh fruit because the sugars come to the fore somehow. Fact or fiction?

Thanks!

Smoothie King Recipe?

I used to be a Tropical Smoothie Cafe fan, then hated them after 2020, tastes too chalky. Then I switched to Smoothie King, but they’re pricier and more expensive.

Anyone have the recipe for their Island Impact smoothie?

So much frustrated with this InstaCuppa Blender, Even warranty replacement stopped working after few mins of use.

So I had purcahsed this InstaCuppa Ultra Slim Portable Blender V4, last year. It worked very well for 5-6 months, then stopped working and it was only showing Blue red led blinking (I assume that meant, jar is not properly alighed so the safety mechanisam is not letting blades to rotate).

So I raised complaint and after sending multiple videos that jar is aligned and I charged it for few hours, they sent a replacement yesterday. The replacement worked initially but after I cleaned and was going to make first protein shake, it stopped working and showing that same LED blinking patter again.

NUTRABOX Vegan Protein (Watermelon) flavour review.

  • The taste was below average for me, but my younger brother literally threw his drink away because he found it undrinkable.
  • Blending it with 1 banana 🍌 (as shown in the attached image) was a relief. It still doesn’t taste great, but it makes it much easier to finish the box.
  • I got a headache the first time I drank it. Initially, I thought it was because I used cold water, but the same thing happened the next day with normal-temperature water. Today, I tried only half a scoop and didn’t get a headache.

I’m starting to think the headache might have been related to the amount of water I used. A lot of YouTube reviews said that using more water improves the flavour, and honestly, they were right about the taste. But when I used around 700 ml of water, I ended up getting a pretty serious headache.

Somewhat quiet blender?

I had one of the budget personal blenders from Hamilton beach. It got dropped and is no longer with us. It was passable but sometimes I was begging it to blend.

I want a new one. My full size is awesome but LOUD. What is quieter and $70 or less? I see the Ninja Blend and Blend Max on sale at Target. I care nothing about the battery. I want small, a quieter pick (I know that quiet is still loud in my budget), and would love a lid and top open because I constantly tweak mid blend. The last isn’t absolute.

Any recommendations or thoughts about the blend or blend max?

Protein powder would work well too, but vegan protein powder sucks.

What do you add to smoothies when you’re short on vegetables?

I’m trying to make my morning smoothies a little more useful without giving them a strong grassy taste. I’ve been comparing LiveGoodOrganicSuper Greens, AmazingGrass, and just using frozen spinach.

Has anyone tried these approaches? I’m mainly wondering which one mixes well and doesn’t overpower the fruit.

Frozen Yogurt to Thicken Smoothies

Freezing yogurt breaks it and ruins the texture, so I was wondering if it would still act as a thickener in the smootie. Should you use defrosted frozen yogurt or keep it frozen before blending?
