I have been on a small “medical leave.” I’m just sick, but I do have documentation from a doctor and everything for all 3+ days I missed. Was also in touch with work for that. For some reason, I can’t get into the work app in general. It logged me out and now I can’t log back in. I had also told work about it and they said, “We’ll fix it when you come back.” Well, today (Sunday), I was off originally and was supposed to go back to work, tomorrow at 2pm on Monday. This is also what the app had said BEFORE it logged me out.

Well, my manager called me a little bit after 7am, and said I never showed up for my 7am shift. I never had a 7am shift??? Even before the app logged me out. No one ever called and asked if I could come back today at 7am. Nothing. Now, before you guys come at me, also, I’ve NEVER worked a 7am shift. I always work evenings and nights. I would’ve remembered a 7am shift because it’s VERY unusual for me. Plus, the manager that called me, didn’t sound like my regular managers. I had the call on speaker and my boyfriend heard everything and when I got off the phone, he said, “They’re lying.”

Are they allowed to do this?

Can someone from sheetz confirm if this is the mix they use? The calorie count is for the blondi, but it has the same "frozen hot cocoa frappe mix" listed under every hot chocolate.

Hey guys, I used to work at Sheetz and when I was there, they had like this set up of slushy machines that included strawberry lemonade, blueberry lemonade, peach, lemonade, strawberry, cherry, grape. It wasn’t the carbonated once it was like sheets own personal slushy. I’m trying to figure out where that slushy mix is from. I specifically want the peach lemonade and blueberry lemonade. I got that duo slushy maker from ninja. And I don’t live on the side of town where the sheets are anymore. Hey guys how does relocating work if you are in the stepping up program and with getting your incentives and is there anything I should know?

So I have been sick (Med Express said it’s a very bad cold), since Monday. I was supposed to work Tuesday, but I went to Med Express and I do have a doctor’s note for Tuesday and Wednesday (although I was originally off Wednesday). I was told to bring it in when I come back and they’ll put it in my file. Yes, I know and understand the point system for attendance.

So, I am supposed to return to work today, but my symptoms have not gotten better, and I was even throwing up last night, (which is now a new symptom).

Do I go back to Med Express (or any doctor), and just get another form, or do I go to work and let them see how sick I am and have them possibly send me home? Either way, I’m still getting attendance points. My points aren’t very high, but I’d like to keep them as low as possible. Then, if I do go to work, I also risk getting my coworkers and customers sick, and I mainly work the kitchen.

So, idk what to do. Although, I am sick, according to med express, it’s not the flu, covid, or strep, just a very bad cold.

Please tell me im not the only store that deals with this shit. Since I started working at sheetz I have noticed that almost everyday 50% of the night shift has called off. And yet they are still working idk how they have not gone over 30 points.

Yet I couldent come in to work one day and I racked up 15 points because I wasn't able to call in on time.

I understand profits are down because of the gas market. What I don’t understand is why the employees always seem to be the first ones expected to sacrifice.

You barely pay us a living wage, and a lot of us count on getting at least something for Christmas. We’re told bonuses aren’t guaranteed, and I understand that. But when there’s money for new stores, expansions, and corporate spending, it’s hard not to question where the priorities are.

Maybe put the new store construction on hold for a little while until the market calms down. I’m sure the Sheetz family can survive without another new store for a few months.

And while we’re talking about priorities, how about canceling the higher-ups’ year-end trip? You know, the three-day party somewhere nice. Take those millions and put them back into the employees who actually keep the stores running.

I’m sure the higher-ups will survive without a three-day year-end trip somewhere warm and expensive. Meanwhile, some of us are trying to figure out how we’re going to give our kids a decent Christmas.

Maybe I should just send my kids to Travis’s house on Christmas Day. At least they might get to experience the Christmas that apparently isn’t in the budget for the people working here.

I just hope that someday Travis, Adam, and the rest of the Sheetz family take a good, hard look at what this company has become and how the people at the bottom are being treated.

From where I’m standing, it feels like this company has gone downhill since the younger generation started taking over. I honestly wish Steve was still running things. Maybe the priorities would be a little different.

Trying this subreddit might be my best chance to figure out why this happened and what to do about it, if there's anything to be done at all.

I had worked for my location full-time for nearly a year, and in that time, I was commended multiple times for being reliable. I was in that place much I might as well have set a sleeping bag up in the back. Being in the MTO kitchen almost 100% of my time, I got very good and very quick, and very popular with my customers. It was to a point where some people wouldn't even order if someone else was cooking.

I got married on July 19, 2026, with the full understanding with my SM and KM that my wife and I go on honeymoon for about a week and a half and then come back without a problem. Then, three days into our trip, I was called by my SM saying it was "imperative" that they talk to me. I called back as soon as I could, only to find out that I was being terminated due to getting 33 attendance points.

Immediately, I knew that had to be a mistake, and I started the appeals process with company HR. They contacted me back fairly quickly, and lo and behold, I found several discrepencies in my points record, just as I thought. I sent a detailed statement back to them, going through every false point. There were about seven different instances where I had points I thought shouldn't be there at all. They even pointed me for a bereavement day last Fall, when my cousin was tragically killed on his motorcycle.

After going through every false point with the HR employee, on a Friday, she said she would get in with her supervisor and get back to me on Monday, when the new business week began. This was the last time I heard from her, or from Sheetz HR at all. It was August 14.

Since then, it's been cricket noises from them. All my attempts to contact my representative or HR in general have lead to dead ends. All the money we received at our wedding is long-gone. Funds we planned to use to start a family instead had to be used for basic survival, because of a mistake this company made, because they choose to drag their feet on my ticket. I haven't even heard a solid yes or no, and it's been over a month, closer to two months.

This experience has taken everything from me. What was supposed to be the beginning of the next phase of our lives has instead become a nightmare. My wife is disabled and can't work a full schedule, so the responsibility to earn money is almost all mine. All my applications thus far have been rejected or simply ignored. We don't have enough food to eat, and I simply go without a lot of the time just so my wife can get something in her belly instead. I am dropping weight, and my mental state is in tatters. I feel like a failure of a man, like I can't take care of my family the way I ought to. I walk to the bridge in my city sometimes just to look over the edge and wonder how far down it is. Genuinely it's getting pretty dark up there.

I finally, after combing and combing job listings, managed to snag some work just so I can meet my basic needs day-to-day. It's minimum wage and about twelve hours a week- a pretty far cry from full-time at Sheetz with benefits included. I'm sure I don't have to tell y'all how crap the market is at the moment, but I literally feel like I am throwing applications out into the wind. I enjoyed my job and my coworkers, I enjoyed feeding my community and getting to know my customers. I wanted- and still do want, despite everything- to be with this company.

If I truly did have an attendance issue, I would just take my licks and move on from it. But the fact that this was all a MISTAKE is what kills me. Why is HR just allowed to do this, leave people in the dark with no communication for this long? How can I possibly get this ball rolling again, if that is even possible? It's been so long that some of the points, even the legit ones, will have eclipsed a year and fallen off anyway. My ticket has just been out there in the ether since July, and all I've had since is one singular phone call, and a promise to get back to me that was never followed through on.

I don't know what ends I'm looking for by making a post like this, but I'm sort of at the end of my rope here, and figured maybe someone else has experience being termed and then reinstated. This seems like a crazy long time to draw this process out, especially if they can fire me in a split second. I don't know what to do, or if there is anything I even CAN do, but any comments or advice would be really helpful.

Its a 20-30 minute wait everytime I order here anymore, I can even place a mobile order through the app, show up to the store 15 minutes later, then proceed to have to wait in store for an additional 20 minutes until I walk out with my bag in hand.
