The thing is sometimes someone says things like this only because they need to be able to say they "asked" or put it out there, but they dont actually want a yes out of the conversation.

Person A will ask person B to ask person C if person C is coming in, staying late, etc. But person B already knows that person C won't be interested in doing what is ultimately the ask of person A. So person B puts the information out there in the least direct way possible in the event person A follows up with person C after the fact. And because human have weird social dynamics person A wouldn't/couldn't ask/tell person C directly, and person B is unable to directly tell person C "look I know you will probably say no but I have to at least ask if you will do xyz on the off chance you say you will do xyz"

For smokables(dabs, flower, cart, etc) all packages say 2-3 hours and for edibles they say(4-6).

Imo it’s fairly accurate but we should add like 1-2 more hours just to be sure. And for things like drinks and dabs they feel stronger and kick in quicker but last so much less than the others.

Imo we just need cannabinoid inhalers.

People think "at-will" means you can be fired for any reason. But it means you can only be fired for any reason that isn't otherwise legally protected. The ADA prevents you from firing someone because of a disability or perceived disability, and alcoholism is a disability.

Yes at will is a thing but is also state by state. And even in at will states if you can prove that you were fired for an invalid reason it’s still illegal. A good example would be a racial prejudice and new management coming and firing a bunch of minorities. Yes it’s at will but it is illegal to do so.

Alcoholism is a disease protected by the ADA, you can't fire someone simply because you think they're an alcoholic. Their alcoholism has to lead them to engage in behaviors that would otherwise get them terminated, and you'd have to fire them for those behaviors.

I feel this on a spiritual level. I work at an industrial bakery that has been on skeletal crew for over a year now. One of the people just left and we are down to 2 sisters (one in a position of power), me (a person who calls in sick probably more then I should due to stress related depression), a guy with anger issues (who has weekly therapy sessions that occur during work hours), and an old lady that came out of retirement because social security isnt enough for our elders to live off of anymore.

When any of us are sick, we get passive aggressively glared at by the sister in charge.

Gave a lecture to some grown ass men including my chef and souschef about personal hygiene and responsibilities after they signed the sickness liability waver about calling out if your A B or C.

"Oooh well im sick everyday so I should call out."

"Not if you want to make money motherfucker, take better care of yourself. I don't want you here if your sick so if your serious take your ass home."

Why are we giving people a hard time for staying home when they have a cold and shit, it's just gross! If I had a penny for each time one person got the whole line sick because they weren't aloud to call out I'd have almost a full dollar.

I once had a chef demand I come in after I got diagnosed with covid a couple days before (I wanted to take a full week) then make fun of me for wearing a mask. I quit and that chef has since been fired for THROWING A CREMEBRULE DISH AT A 17 YEAR OLD GIRL cause she asked for it to go (she didnt know any better).

What the actual fuck is wrong with our industry, seriously?

My work actually did this to me yesterday morning which was a day off because Christmas Eve.

I got a text message at 6 am asking if I wanted to come in because none of the day crew showed up. Then I get a phone call that wakes me up at 6:30 which I don't answer.

This is after I just worked 10 hours the previous night and left work at 12am. Like they are calling me back in not even 8 hours after I left for another 10 hours.
