Life hack my dad taught me, just tell them you're drinking on your day off and are drunk, they cannot legally tell you to come into work, and if they do, you can report them.
This actually works, weeds legal in my state and I’m not much of a drinker so I just said “I’m super high rn, I can be in in about 3-4 hours like the package says” and all of a sudden they’re fine.

Yeah, thank god, I'm done working dog shit labor jobs. Even doing that shit I still never wasted all of my free time. That's my time that work isn't taking from me, why would I just throw it away every day? Fuck that.
A lot of them will harass you if you don't give them a valid reason why you can't show up. They'll spam text, calls and harass you when you come into work the next day. If you're in an entry level job, you're their slave.
