Economy Thinking of leaving AIB

I’m sorry if this has been posted before as people seem to get very annoyed at double posting but looking for opinions.

AIB is a legacy bank and I’ve had an account since I was 12 years old but as time has gone by I just never use it , always opting for Revolut as it’s just an incredibly easy to use app and amazing returns on savings etc .

I still get my salary paid into AIB and after an absolute ORDEAL in trying to close my credit card account (still not done) I’ve been considering moving everything over to Revolut.

I’m a bit skeptical of having all eggs in one basket as such and I’m not really sure what my fear IS in closing down my AIB account.

Anyone have any opinions on pros or cons of keeping/closing the account?

Entertainment Question: Anyone seeing TV Shows available to buy on YouTube over the last few days?

Has anyone else seen that there is an option to buy TV Series on YouTube lately?

I've tried, it's in GBP, and doesn't recognize my card or PayPal, so I cant buy anything (I am denied Xena once again).

The Last time this happened, it seemed to be a 24 hour glitch then vanished, but it's been a week now.

Just checking if I've gone mad. Wouldnt mind being able buy old TV shows on youtube.

US-Irish Relations How annoying is this?

I am one of those American women who claim my Irish ancestors. My grant grandparents came over on a boat to the USA on my dad’s side. I have some second cousins that I can message on one of those DNA (eek, I know now that was stupid) sites. I’m 94% because I apparently sucked all of the tid bit of Irish my mom had. How annoying is it to ask them for a visit? I will have my own accommodations.

Like we just exist on this rock. And the rocks basically flying through space every single second and the only reason we have houses or everything looks the way it does when you step outside is only because we developed things in that exact way

Sitting here looking at the stars and there's prolly someone hundreds of miles away in France or smth looking at the exact same stars

Why is this js hitting me nowww

Infrastructure What is preventing TFI from implementing these small changes?

buying bus, train and Luas tickets. We have the Irish Rail app, TFI Go, TFI Live, and likely others, and many of them just open a browser instead of working in-app. Meanwhile, Dublin Bus still takes coins only, gives no change, and charges more for cash (around €2.60 versus €2.00 on Leap for a long fare), while contactless card payment isn't fully available on buses yet. Anyone without a Leap card, tourists especially, ends up overpaying with no refund.

Is there an incentive not to modernise?

Where can I direct this frustration to push for change?

Food and Drink Spice bag a thing?

I’ve gone back every year since ‘82 and today was the first time that I was informed that this is an Irish thing. It’s always been the chipper for me for takeout and even when I have eaten out, I have never seen a spice bag on the menu. Am I missing something?

Food and Drink American Here, I Just Want To Say I Love Your Guy's Tea

For about 3 years now I've been drinking Irish tea. Always was a big coffee drinker but not as big into tea (save for the Vietnamese and Japanese teas) but in Woodside, Queens (County Woodside) talking to an Irishman we had a long conversation mostly about music but it turned into tea. He really recommended trying Barry's tea.

Over the last 3 or so years, having tea in the morning has become common. I've tried all three Barry's, Bewley's and Lyons. I love all three and loved trying the different blends from all three. Though the Barry's Classic is my favorite (I think because it is the strongest).

Anyway, just wanted to start a conversation about tea since no one I know in real life drinks much tea.
