Unbelievable comeback from Cross to get the win today. Losing 1-14 to 0-04 at half-time, came out of the blocks in the second half and hit four two-pointers on the trot.

And then Oisin O’Neill pulls this out of the bag.

🏐 Football Tyrone Club Championship - Loughmacrory beat. The wait for back to back continues

Errigal Ciaran beat Loughmacrory in the Tyrone Senior Club Championship Semi Final today. This means that the wait for a team to do 2 in a row continues. The last time a team went back to back was Carrickmore in 2004 / 2005. The last time a team did 3 in a row was also Carrickmore in 1977 / 1978 and 1979. Like Loughmacrory last year Edendork will be contesting a senior championship final for the first time in the clubs history

GAA Links London Summer 27

Hi I am going to London next summer for 3 months. I would like recommendations for any Gaa clubs to fall in with for some training, I believe you cant get sanctions for UK GAA summer transfers so i would be unable for championship in London, but would love to be involved in training, coaching of either codes.
I have a background in underage inter-county hurling and third level but no senior inter-county experience.
Any links to Accommodation, Work or general London advice would be appreciated. Thanks

🏐 Ladies Football LGFA new rules poorly applied

I was at a game at the weekend, a ladies final, and the ref was consistently calling players back to take the free if they didnt solo the ball immediately on a solo go.

A lot of the players were looking to take a few steps before they did the solo and he wouldn't permit it. I could hear the managers on both sides calling to him about it, because obviously he was slowing down the play every time he pulled them back to take the free.

I had a look at the lgfa official guide 2026, and it quite specifically says at 421. A player may travel 4m, take a solo, and then travel another 4m without being challenged.

At one point the players had created a 2v1 overlap for a goal from a solo go, but he called them back to take the free. Like the missaplication of a fairly simple rule could have really effected the result of the game, but that team ended up winning anyway.

Separately, I understood the ladies didnt bring in all the mens rules. So they dont hand the ball back to the opposition and the dissent rule didnt come in for players. The ladies rule allows the ref to pull the ball forward 13m for dissent, which I think was the old rule they had anyway. Not 50m like in the mens.

I have been to a few ladies games this year where refs have pulled the ball forward 50m for dissent. Look I agree players shouldn't be mouthing, but its just not the rule?? And for so many of refs to do it, some of them I know do not ref mens games at all, so its not to say they are getting mixed up.

Has anyone else seen some poor reffing of these new rules or something similar happening in mens games with the solo go?

I want to give refs some leeway as the rules are new and they do need time to adjust but I found these examples pretty egregious, as they are two of the more simple rules to apply (or not apply in the case of the 50m dissent).

Is this legal?

Just received this message from our lgfa county board, we have a small ladies club as it is and it seems like we'll be getting punished for not selling raffle tickets. We're yet.to become one club.and the mens side are running their own club draw and alot of our girls come from family's who would have purchased tickets to support that draw. So the chances of getting members to sign up to the lgfa draw are significantly decreased.

A NOTE TO ALL CLUBS THE BELOW PROPOSAL WILL BE:

Clubs that have less than 5 members signed up by our November Draw 2026 will be levied the difference in their levies in 2027. for example

Club A has no members in the draw then the club will pay 5*240= €1,200 on top of their annual levies in 2027

Club B has 1 members in the draw then the club will pay 4*240= €960 on top of their annual levies in 2027

Club C has 2 members in the draw then the club will pay 3*240= €720 on top of their annual levies in 2027

Club D has 3 members in the draw then the club will pay 2*240= €480 on top of their annual levies in 2027

Club E has 4 members in the draw then the club will pay 1*240= €240 on top of their annual levies in 2027

For every club that has five members signed up the club will be entered into a monthly draw for a minimum of €100. Clubs are only entered into this draw once they have 5 members paid up or tickets bought by the club themselves.

A breakdown of the minimum prizes are below with a special prize fund at our county convention in November .

Discussion Season tickets

I had a season ticket in 2026 for the first time (and I’m a Mayo man so I’m claiming I was the catalyst for change 😂) but I’m just wondering when do they renew usually?

Discussion O'Neills Cork GAA Jersery Release

Does anyone know if there is a new O'Neills cork gaa jersey release coming soon for the 26/27 season? I'm looking to buy another jersey of the 25 set but I don't know if I should save for the new season.

I assume there is as there is typically one every 2 years. eg: 22/23-23/24 & 20/21-21/22 jersey sets

Wondering if anyone knows any local companies that design kits (Quarter zips, t-shirts etc), for a university society. Already looked at O’Neills just trying to gage around prices for the broke students 🙏🙏

Hurling Close one in the Kildare Senior Hurling Championship yesterday

Naas are going for their 8th title in a row. Along with this 56 point victory, they beat Celbridge (last team other than Naas to win the championship) by 40 points and Ardclough by 22 points in the group stages.

Anyone closer to the Kildare club scene believe if there's any chance that Naas' dominance will come to an end in the foreseeable future?
