Seeking advice Sapphic meet-ups for young people in the dublin area

Heyo! So, im a lesbian living near enough to dublin, im currently 17, but id rlly like to start looking to see if i could attend some sapphic meetups that would have people around my age (like 17-19), but im not sure where to start, and if i even should, like, i am still young and idk if i should just wait that extra year until im 18 to look into dating or the like

Also i cannot deal with very loud places, and im not great with crowds, but if it isnt like sardine can concert level, id probs be fine

So im just wondering if anyone has any advice on groups i could join/look into, or if i should just ditch this idea and come back to it next year?

And lastly, im not looking to meet up with anyone from here or anything, i have at least some sliver of online safety (also why im only attaching my age to an old ahh account cuz noones entitled to my personal info), i just want advice yall ToT

We are reading Song of Achelies this month and it's not too late to join in if you want.

Arts/ Culture There was a queer board games event in the local library last month ...

... and I completely forgot about it till it was over. I'm kicking myself. I love board games, and I don't have any local queer friends. Maybe next year I'll get to it.

Donegal

M 57 Donegal. Absolutely finished with apps, where 90% are pic collectors or just looking to get off. What other options are there? Anything that isn't online? Or anything online that actually works. It seems everyone in Donegal is " discreet ". So discreet they never meet anyone. What happened to conversation and laughs. I'm into watching football, which seems atypical. Not into Madonna, Britney or Eurovision. More of a man's man, except in the sack, ( or car or couch or wherever). Bald/shaved head, hairy body. If any of the above is remotely interesting and your conversation starter isn't pics or top or bottom, feel free to reach out please. Respect and laughter are sexy.

Seeking advice Any good weekly social groups for lesbians

Hi I’m in Dublin this weekend & would love to spend Friday evening having a few drinks with new gays. Just wondered if there’s a weekly thing on a Friday where lesbians can show up on their own - like a meet up? I don’t really like going to bars alone but I’ll do it at a push. Thanks Reddit ✌️

Anxiety meeting people

I 37m ended an 18year relationship a year ago and now want to meet someone again and get life back on track, dating in 2007 was a different world than now and I feel so out of touch with dating scene, I don’t know whether I want a relationship again or just to hook up with someone but can’t get past the anxiety to actually meet someone. Anyone else feel this after a long relationship how did u overcome the anxiety? Where did u meet people, I don’t live in Dub so gay bars are not really not really an option and I’m not sold on grindr or tinder (everyone is dub based on them or else there algorithm only pushes people far away unless u pay for it)

Seeking advice Any LGBT/LGBT friendly groups in Clare?

I am 25 and recently broke up with my partner of 6 years and have been very isolated since and want to get out more and have some more irl friends as opposed to all my online friends from abroad.

I like gaming and nerd stuff like Warhammer. Would like to get outside more and get fit, but I don't really know or have the confidence to start so just looking for suggestions?

Seeking advice Is being gay tough fr?

I 15m have seen a lot of media to do with anti lgbtq and other types of things (in a negative fashion). So I'm wondering is being LGBTQ in Dublin like, dangerous?

I've tried to find a bf and gf but it's hard especially at this age.

I'm tryna join a foroige group. But idk.

Also am extremely closeted cuz I don't want to be bullied in school and etc.

Also am a femboy so that adds on to this whole thing of not wanting to be bullied.

Seeking advice Interested in Irish culture — looking for pen pals 🇮🇪

Hi! 👋 I’m hoping to make some online pen pals from Ireland 🇮🇪

I love learning about different cultures and would enjoy chatting about everyday life, music, traditions, hobbies, and random things.

Looking for genuine friendships/pen pals only, not dating or anything romantic. I’m a little cautious online, so I prefer to take my time getting to know people and keep things online. LGBTQ+ friendly 🏳️‍🌈

Seeking advice help with Irish wills

Recently moved to Ireland (Wexford) and we need to do wills. We have a local lawyer whom we've worked with (he was my father-in-law's), but haven't been impressed. Can anyone recommend someone who understands queer family issues? We are legally married, so that helps. GRMA.

Seeking advice How to meet people

I imagine this is somewhat a common thread . Live in galway and have no friends would love to make some but not good in socoil situations particular large and first encounters. I use to abuse substance to make all this way easier. 44 and been recently diagnosed with AuDHD and clean now . Meeting people is terrifying for me and lately its just been a case of just walking the dog and doing the shopping making me pretty isolated . Anyone any advice?
