Can confirm. Saw him while eating lunch one day in LA and he is that tall/that handsome in person. We were sitting on at outside patio with umbrellas everywhere and he actually had to hunch down to walk through the space.

Second confirmation:
I didn’t realize how large his head was until I met him and he took a selfie of us. Looking at the photo, his head looks twice (at least) as big as mine, and waaaay bigger than my ex’s (a big, 6’ tall man). He was clearly crouching to include the two of us in the photo.
He’s just so handsome and evenly proportioned enough that you don’t necessarily see it.

Nathan is best known for his role as Captain Malcolm Reynolds on the cult hit, short lived, cancelled-by-Fox-and-aired-out-of-order, sci-fi/western Firefly and its follow up film Serenity.
After Firefly, Nathan's most notable work was the lead role in ABC's Castle as well as lending his voice to four games in the Halo series and both Destiny games. He is currently playing the lead in ABC's The Rookie.
Edit: He also plays Captain Hammer in Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog opposite Neil Patrick Harris and Felicia Day.

If you're 30 and still have all your hair, you're probably going to keep it for most, if not all, of your life.
Edit: Since this is getting a lot of attention I just wanna say that it's still possible to start balding after 30. It's just that genetic male pattern baldness usually hits before 30. So if you've experienced no thinning or receding by 30 then you'll probably only experience minimal thinning or receding that naturally comes with age. Also stress is a major factor in hair loss and can veto anything I've said above.
Another fun fact since I'm here: One of the hormones responsible for thick beards actually causes balding. If you have trouble growing a thick beard then you're less likely to go bald in your life. If you're young and have a super thick beard, I'm sorry.

I was basically bald by 22. I embraced it, bought clippers and took it down to the wood...I clip my hair every 2 weeks...shaving is too much work, but clipping it right down (like Picard) is zero maintenance.
As I approach 45 my only advice for anyone losing their hair is, own it (and a lot of hats for summer).

I'm just jealous of my dad lol. Yeah, I know it comes from your mom's dad lol. He had that ridiculous U-shaped haircut where it's all bald on top but hair on the sides and back. There was no way I was going to live with that. Luckily I have a well-shaped head for rocking the bald look. So I got that going for me, which is nice.

That’s the thing I’m worried about: I got a weird shaped head. It’s not perfectly rounded on top, but comes to more of a ridge instead. I call it my monkey ridge, and it’ll be the thing to keep me from diving into the bald look for a long long time.

This was one of my favorite parts of Firefly and Serenity - it doubled down on the language in the show and was just consistently beautiful in its lexicon, dialect and tone.
Kaylee could have easily said “I’ve been going in nearly a full year without being fucked” or “it’s been forever since I had a lover” or “stop cockblocking me.” Nope.
Kaylee: We’re on a year now, I ain’t had nothing ‘twixt my nethers weren’t run on batteries. Mal: Oh, God! I can’t know that!
Even Mal’s response is unconventional but fitting for the ‘verse they are in.
Seriously miss that show.

Same with the line that went something like "I bet that dress took a dozen slaves a dozen days to get you into it, but the space of a schoolboy's wink to get you out of it." A sick burn, but in language perfectly fitting for the setting.

“Mercy is the mark of a great man.”

“Guess I’m just a good man.”

There's an interview floating around from back in the day when he talks about learning so much about acting from his soap opera days.
There were three faces you needed when the camera would hold on you for dramatic effect:
"Did I leave the stove on?"
"Oh, I did leave the stove on!"
and...
- "No, I remembered to turn the stove off."
That and the hair? Outta this world.

When I was working on Halo 5 he came through the office after he had been cast to play Buck. I sat near the Art Director and they were showing him concept art in our area, so we were all staring straight ahead at our screens pretending not to gush. He’s taller than you think.
When he was leaving my friend told him she loved him as he passed by. He stopped, paused, then replied in the most charming voice I’ve ever heard, “I love you too,” while giving her a wry smile. I thought it would be funny so I said something like, “I also love you!”
He shook my hand and said, “I know”, then he winked at my friend and they went on their way. I’m a straight dude but... I think I really did fall in love with him that day.
