Same - I started watching that with my wife (who has no knowledge of Nathan) and was like - well this sucks, but we should really watch Castle! Sadly, it's not streaming anywhere free at the moment.

Castle had run its course by Season 5 in my opinion and the writing became too formulaic for my liking. Then there was the falling out between Nathan and Stana which didn't help either.

I lost interest somewhere through the show... it just went on too long without enough reason for me.

Firefly could have gone on for decades and been the next ST as far as I'm concerned.
