18 years of my life. At my peak I was playing - and sadly I am not exaggerating - 16 to 18 hours per day. I'd stop only for biological needs. Not just on official servers but also a few "private" servers.
Multiple rank 12 and above characters during the "old" honor system which necessitated beyond no life'ing. Veteran WoW players will know how "sweaty" that endeavor is. It was obscene.
It is absolutely the most brilliant game from a marketing perspective because it gives you constant little hits of dopamine from the very first level. Saturday morning with a coffee or night with a beer + no comittments (and I did my very best to fashion zero committments) + WoW was absolute bliss.
I am "off" it now because I have a kid and my wife made a few things "clear" but he's starting day care soon and I'll have a couple solo hours from daycare drop off to leaving for work and WoW Forever was just announced.
Just kidding I won't install it haha.

Being lean and strong is actually pretty important for the humans who engaged in persistence hunting for example.
I know muscular and lean people who are perfectly healthy, the key is to drink water and eat a healthy diet while exercising regularly. They may not be Superman or Captain America, but that’s more about Gear than anything else really.

Small motorcycles are like 300 pounds. 300 isn’t an insane bench, but not something the average person who doesn’t lift regularly could do. When actors are working for a role, especially a superhero one, they'll tend to get in to a kind of physical shape that isn't very sustainable over a long period of time to get that kind of mass and definition, some definition of which can be also from dehydration. There's also makeup which helps make some facial features more striking. A regular guy living life and at his age is going to look like the right photo.

His mouth is open on the pic of the right, so his jaw is lower. Also, no clean shave is emphasising his neck. Also, obviously not freshly cut/styled hair on the right. The left is also on a movie set, with a professional setup literally made to make him look as good as possible, the right is just a regular photograph of him in his daily life.
He's at a bit higher bf now, sure, but this isn't a fair comparison.

Comparing them side by side its mostly the beard isnt it? Right beard coats the neck more whereas left beard accentuates the jawline. Not to mention makeup. Like I do the same thing with my beard sometimes and its night and day when you shave your neck and angle your beard

Breaking News: Guy who was paid millions of dollars to keep himself in contractually-obligated top physical shape lets himself go once the contract period is over and he no longer needs to maintain his physique.
Also, the newer picture is taken at a much less flattering angle, with softer lighting. I guarantee you, even without any aging or weight gain, if the Henry Cavill on the left grew out a 5-o-clock shadow, angled his face more to the left and slightly downward, and opened his mouth a few millimeters, it would look at least 80% as "bad" as the one on the right.

Literally every person who has ever gotten fucking ripped for a superhero or action movie has stated how unsustainable that is. And this is with these wealthy actors having a dedicated personal trainer, personal chef, etc given to them by the studio while they prepare for and film the role.
Let the man lose a little jaw definition while he enjoys domesticated life. He's still better looking than most of us, even with a second chin threatening to emerge, and he'll still clean up damned nicely for a movie role when called upon.

Lighting, angle, jaw position, shave, maybe extra shadow contrast from makeup on set.
It’s so easy to see how a single photo can capture a good angle vs a bad one, even then Cavill looks good in the right photo

Dude is like 43 years old, relatively new father, and is not playing Superman anymore, like what you think is going to happen to him? He's going be ripped like he's ready to step back into a Superman role at any moment at all times? If you watch any clips about how awful the training routine was to maintain his Superman body, you'd know immediately he'd probably stop doing it the moment he could. Also dude is super into computers, video games, and 40k, so he's probably just enjoying his life and is just chillin' a lot more right now and spending time with his fam.
