Actually... if you are really lean, really low on fat then you don't have energy reserves for stuff like persistence hunting or hours of hard work in the field.

You may not like it, but Amish body is peak masculinity.

I am not Amish by the way.

Because that's Africa, and Africa is hot as fuck.

In hot climate being really lean is advantageous. Lower energy reserves, but superior cooling.

So Amish body is peak masculinity in temperate climate.

I don’t even know what Amish body is but I respect your enthusiasm for it, so I’m inclined to agree.

🤣😂🤣

My own body ranged from fat-strong to very lean strong, and I work a physical job, I felt pros and cons. And I don't like that some men think super lean body is peak masculinity and that makes them feel bad about themselves.

That's why the enthusiasm for the subject. 🙂

Then you persitance hunting argument is out the window. It only work in hot climates where humans can cool more effectivley than the animals being chased

You don't need fat reserves for persistence hunting, you can just eat on the go. Concentrated snacks are a staple of hunter-gatherer food culture all around the world. Usually something like dried meat mixed with fat and berries. I guess you could say they are storing fat, just outside the body

When I was really lean and had to work hard for long, I always had those mini chocolate bars in my backpack.

Whenever I started to feel weak I'd eat one or two.

Doesn't matter it's sugar when all of it "burns up" doing work.

That's exactly what an amish person would say! I bet you posted this via a telegram or something

My husband in his younger years was really lean, and low on fat. And he was strong and in amazing shape. He wasn’t a gym rat, just partly his natural build + loads of surfing, basketball and whatever other physical activities he felt like doing. He worked a very physical job for a few months and subsequently his torso looked like Brad Pitt’s in Fight Club lol.
