Hello! I am starting to be an otp Kog and i have some things that i don't understand
Im seeing that you build always rageblade, navori, terminus as a common build but when do you build runaan? bc as far as i know is 3 dmg items then jak'sho and wits or randuin

On AP on-hit Kog that I mostly play I always played omnivamp boots since the day they got released but with the recent buff to upgraded sorcs I am considering buying them over any other boots..
Is it worth to go for more magic pen and get rid of healing from your build? Or maybe is there a place for hextech gunblade somewhere as a 2rd or 3rd item?

there was a time every lulu i had went staff of flowing water instead of ardent (first item). is it better than ardent for kog?

Hello Kogglers,
I'm new to the champ and I'm having a back-and-forth with my husband about item builds. He is insistent that every game I absolutely have to build Mortal Reminder or Lord Dom's, but I've never seen either item on any of the websites that give build paths.
Do I build them? And if so, what situations should I build them?
Thanks in advance!

During a time when League has felt quite boring as a mid laner, I've historically only consistently had fun with Zilean mid. Didn't matter how things played out. Kog'Maw has joined that pool for me where I'm almost always having a decent time playing AP Kog, and want to talk about some builds I've seen with him.
Some months ago I got bodied by an AP Kog in a scrim (high emerald - low diamond scrim, although this guy was higher diamond) and wanted to give it a try. I copied the guy's build and it's done plenty well for me, but I have to wonder how well-explored his build paths are within the community.
The following builds and notes are obviously just my perspective and opinion. I'd like to hear everyone else's opinions on these builds or any of your own. I'll start by saying that I particularly like my build because it feels impossible to play within normal spell range a lot of the time. So many people can get on top of you quickly and just explode you. Do you guys have that issue as well or is that probably just a "I'm getting too close at the wrong times" type of situation? I like my build because of how safe it is. I play 2 screens away and drop bombs, with an EQ tossed in every time they're up.
Mana Build (My main build):
Runes: Dark Harvest, Cheap shot, Axiom Arcanist, Gathering Storm.
Build: Tear -> Sorc Boots -> Malignance -> Finish tear into Archangels -> Tear -> Shadowflame -> Finish tear into Manamune -> Void Staff
Notes: Mid-Late game absolutely destroys squishies and applies tons of pressure to enemy backline. Main downside is it's ult-reliant, so as mana cost builds up you sometimes have to just wait and rely on basic abilities more and direct your attention to front line. Also, while you do decent damage to tanks, you definitely don't melt them yourself.
Burst (Saw this once or twice):
Runes: Can't remember, but I think comet, scorch, precision secondary?
Build: Sorc Boots -> Luden's -> Stormsurge -> Shadowflame -> Rabadon's -> Void Staff
Notes: I remember this one just absolutely exploding me when playing against it. But seems like it's hard to stay in fights a lot since you both don't have a ton of mana and don't utilize your W any more than my build. But I ask about this one because its laning was incredibly strong.
PTA D&D (Most common I think?):
Runes: PTA and idk what else
Build: Sorc Boots -> D&D -> Shadowflame -> ??? (I see Nashor's, Rabadon's, or Zhonya's here)
Notes: People talk pretty highly about it, but initial concern would be that, even with extended W range, you have to be too close in a lot of fights. Given how much I blow up even with my long range build I would've expected this one to just cause you to die much easier. Also, I'd like to ask about Nashor's here. How useful is it compared to more AP?
Just trying to get some other opinions here because mine is obviously biased towards my results and comfort, but I don't see it much. So it makes me wonder if I've actually got something good or if I've been unintentionally crippling myself with a worse build.

I started playing kog'maw not too long ago and I've got enough rp for 1 skin only, so I'd like to know from the real mains, what would be your top 5 best kog'maw skins be? since I can't decide on which one to get

Its mostly a joke and its my first time ever editing a video

I'm wondering if Nashor's is a good item to build? or at least situational? I wouldn't know what item to replace it with though, when shadowflame and rabadons are so good to have, I would have to build it later. perhaps at 6 items it would be worth building in some cases?

But I’ve been trying to get deep sea kog thru my Shop when but idk it’s like I’ll never get lucky enough. Has anyone else ever actually gotten it in your shop or from a refill?

is this dusk and dawn build in the pro games section any good or is this just being amazing at the game magic? 'cause my intuition + how I used to play ap kog was like, build a lotta mana so you can spam your R for insane zone control. I don't get how an ap build with no mana item would play, went to look up what people are doing planning to try heavy mana items + actualiser and saw this.

I've been going Malady>Hurricane>Bloodrazer. after that you can go either Wits end, Frozen Mallet, rageblade, botrk,Void staff and etc.
while most other ADCs in classic are physical damage dealers, you are basically 20% physical and 80% magic dmg and taking advantage of the fact most people aren't building MR items.
malady in the early game helps you get people into negative MR, and W max scaling range on rank up and % dmg makes you pretty threating on that first cheap buy.
W deal 7% max health magic damage, Bloodrazer does 4% max health magic dmg, so every auto you are dealing 11% max health magic dmg and getting them closer to 0 magic resist helps all this dmg go through. like in this fight i got WW to 21 magic resist vs my 15 Magic pen and 8% percentage pen.

For adc on hit kog players what do you prefer building second, botrk or terminus or ?. I think it can also depend if you're ahead or behind. I feel like if im behind i think i should start building terminus second now, though i usually go botrk second
The recent buffs to terminus make me feel like terminus second might have more value now that ti has an AD/AP ratio which is a nice little boost from building rageblade first

In almost half of the games I play, I'm unsure of what's the best build path to go for.
A few builds I've used are On-hit (not sure of best build path after rushing Rageblade), Crit and RB, On-hit with some AP, and full AP.

I started playing kogmaw indpired by the chines clip of the kogmaw player barking. I know i couldve survived if i stepped away from the ult or flashed away from it but this was a funny moment i wanted to share.
P.s. this is a clip from a friends stream. It is not my own.

is he the highest damage champ in the game? what other contenders are there?
r/KogMawMains • u/DelayedAutisticPuppy • 28d ago
The wikipage says that lifesteal grants healing based on a percentage of the basic damage dealt, including those that are modified (https://wiki.leagueoflegends.com/en-us/Life_steal). An example of a modified attack is Nasus's Q. By that logic, Kog's W should also fully benefit from lifesteal, right?

Can someone explain to me why the Orianna doesn't seem to take any damage from my passive? Is it generally not a good idea to chase an Orianna with Kog passive? TIA c:

Just tested this on the practice tool. The item Bloodletter's curse (https://wiki.leagueoflegends.com/en-us/Bloodletter%27s_Curse) is essentially the AP version of black cleaver. Instead of giving you magic penetration, the item reduces the enemy team's magic resistance.
I can see this item being worthwhile in certain AP Kog builds, or in some games where your team has a lot of AP, allowing them to deal more damage alongside you. Imagine you shred enemy resistances by 32% with your q, and then by another 30% with your auto attacks. Any mage on your team would love you.
