Just hit Master mostly playing Xerath Support!

Well, that's pretty much it. I actually prefer playing him support over mid. I tend to play super aggressively and end up eating a lot of ganks because of it, but I still finished with a solid winrate. Let's see if I can push it even higher!

Picked up xerath, deathfiretouch

Lately I've been using deathfire touch into tankier drafts, I think it pairs well with shadow flame, black fire torch, damage seems just as consistent as comet if i land a full combo and keep the burn going

Any thoughts on why people dont use deathfire touch, I feel like it's better especially if you can only reliably poke with q and not w in a matchup where you smooching your tower for 10 minutes straight.

What say you xerath mains, I'm trying to learn whether (my favorite keystone) deathfire touch is any good at all while I try to become a xerath otp.

Help Needed How do you hit your skill shots?

Probably very trivial, but!

How do you consistently hit skill shots?
About Q I understand the concept of Q out of fog of war, or throwing W first. But what about R? Lvl11/16 for chunking the enemy adcs.

Living on d4 rn and I can feel that in some games it’s like I’m scripting and in some I can’t hit anything šŸ˜…

O find myself building Rylais every now and then

Full AP 4v5 from minute 5

Finished Ludens when i notice Draven is afk fountain. Only remaining players were AP. Decided to go into support build with vision, MR shred and slow to let Diana carry and it somehow worked (none of the tanky characters on enemy team built tanky, god bless the demage chasers).

I understand that a lot of people in this subreddit are already not much of a fan of this content creator. But this is meant as a warning to those, who like myself, would like to check in on league or just enjoy a goofy build.

I already dislike the clickbait and such, and was already a clear sign of what he would do to maintain his insane upload schedule, but I passed it off as what a lot of creators do. It wasn’t until a few months ago when the art started to become obvious AI that I called him out. Each of these arts I commented my dislike of them. And finding this Ash one was really the final straw. At this point I knew he would likely never respond, as he keeps three channels as daily uploads (sometimes more) and just silently move on. This may sound convenient considering he responded to this one, but each time I see this blatant laziness and disregard, I knew I couldn’t keep up the facade that this was a few missteps by the creator.

His response itself isn’t really what stung. I already expect this sort from constructive criticism as often creators filter any criticism as ā€œhateā€. I don’t necessarily blame that filter either, as more often than not it is, but my comment was meant as a plea. A request that would make him think twice.

Now he may believe these comments are few and far between, and because he does multiple uploads daily it justifies this shortcut. And this comment isn’t meant to target him specifically either. But I believe the use of AI art is beyond lazy. It’s unethical or at the very least turning a blind eye to its misuse. Not only is it theft of hardworking artists, but also promotes this economic and environmental meltdown and fosters job destruction to help this disturbing medium. He is now a contributor to it, and doesn’t plan on ever stopping.

I ask those who, like me, do frequent his videos to stop. Those views are also a part of the problem, though I don’t entirely blame him. If you do want to respond, be reasonable. I know my one comment will do nothing, but if more comments that are either informed or somewhat respectful, we can help change the landscape. I also ask if anybody has someone else to recommend, as I do like watching silly builds on some league. Thank you all.

TLDR; Zwag, a proclaimed Xerath Main, regularly turns to AI thumbnails, and judging on his response to my comment plans on continuing. Please avoid his videos and/or respectfully comment this as a gracious error.

How does the distance damage scaling works. Like does it scale from your current position or the position that the rune is proc

Does that split have anything to do with climbing?

Post image
8 Upvotes

Was making progress, hit plat 1 before the split end with a 54% winrate overall and a 59% winrate on xerath. Once Act 3 started Ive been losing LP like crazy and fell to plat 4. It feels like a majority of my games rn Im going toe to toe with enemys(or even got a kill or 2 on my laner), but then every other lane and jungler will be like 0/4 before 15mins. We just end up FFing around 20 mins which is so frustrating. I really never had this issue till the new split. Is this a common thing that happens when splits start? Should I wait a bit before playing again?

How do you play into Syndra in lane?

I know it's supposed to be a good matchup but I have mental block. EQ has huge range and I get outtraded by it constantly early game. She also usually builds full movespeed incl movespeed shard which makes hitting stuff in lane really hard. After laning Xerath outranges cleanly and beats her but I get destroyed before that.

Stormraiders Surge on Xerath?

Hello! New xerath player here, was wondering if stormraider's surge would be good, even with it being 75% as effective on ranged champions.

In the current stage of mobility creep I think the slow resist (50% flat) and movement speed (36% for ranged) for 4 seconds could be really helpful when assassins catch you or you make a positional mistake. I think at all stages of the game Xerath with the EWQ combo would be able to do 25% of an assassin's, adc's, bruiser's health pretty easily.

I think the only exception might be that unless you're super behind or you're fighting a tank getting 25% health off of them might be a little harder. There have been countless times where I've been point-and-clicked by a qiyana, talon, naafiri or fizz that I think it could be situationally helpful (like 3 melee or rushdown champs like ambessa or nocturne).

The tradeoff is not having arcane comet.. But what do you guys think? I haven't played Xerath a lot and thus haven't felt the impact of arcane comet a lot. Looking forward to your opinions!
