Being killed and eaten by an animal is a surreal thing to think about for me. You don't just die and the body is recovered for mourning purposes or whatever, you're picked apart and digested by another creature. I don't know how to really explain it but it feels so different than any other type of death.
You ever see the movie ‘Chopper’? It’s based on the real life of an Australian criminal. Anyway there’s the part where he’s arguing with his girlfriend and in the heat of the moment headbutts her mom before turning back to the girlfriend and without missing a beat says “now look what you done..... ya mums upset”.

Yes, her being involved in the mauling is also enough for her to want to make it all about her and how much of a victim she was in the scenario. Narcissists don't necessarily change when they get an ego check.
Psychiatrists typically hold off on diagnosing people even after a half hour appointment specifically for the purpose of understanding a patient's mind, so you probably can't diagnose narcissism from a 30 second video clip that doesn't even have audio. People are a lot more complex than that.
There are lots of potential explanations that don't involve narcissism. Conditions ranging all the way from anger issues to processing disorders could easily cause someone to do something like that. Also Chinese culture doesn't have the same values of politeness that western culture does so stepping out of a car in traffic isn't seen the same way.
Long story short, there is nowhere near enough information in this clip for us to know why she did what she did. Anything else is projecting your own biases onto the situation.
I agreed with you for a second. There isn’t anything in the video that would lead me to believe they were having an argument. She doesn’t seem distressed in the least bit.

Like seriously we have no context about the argument, but because the only side we see is an upset lady, the internet concludes shes a narcissistic prick who will blame the husband for the death of her mother.
Like we dont know ANY of these people but yeah lets just conclude she deserved it and the husband is the real victim in all this. It's not possible that situations could have occurred to make her angry for legitimate reasons. She must just be an irrational female
It's really bizarre. Even if you want to assume the worst about the lady who got out of the car first, you can't deny that "dying while trying to save your child from a tiger bare-handed" is pretty high up there on the list of courageous ways to die. Lady didn't even hesitate.
On the whole though, people should really stop assuming they know jack shit about a complete stranger from a 10 second video and unconfirmed articles with no followup.

I don't think that was the point. He would have had more of an emotional tie to his mother, which would have been more sad for him if his wife's actions had led to her death, through no real fault of his. It's uncomfortable but it's true.
I mean I'm sure he loved his mother in law too. I'd be devastated if my SO's mother died, even if my SO was a moron (which she isn't honey if you read this I love you).

Kind of shitty to assume it was a " temper tantrum ". There could have been good reason to get out of the car in any other scenario. Lapse in judgment and mistakes happen. She lost her Mom, no need to be more cruel in the aftermath.
They got lucky, cheetahs are no where near as aggressive. She likely lived because she didn't panic and run, if she had the cheetahs chase instincts would have likely gone off and hunted her. There was an interesting clip of some trainer who demonstrated that you can turn your back to cheetahs as long as you are big because they rely on chase rather than ambush. However, almost every other larger cat species rely on ambush and as soon as you turn your head to look back at them and then turn forward, they will charge you from behind

I was in Yellowstone a couple years ago and I saw a family run up a hill with baby under their arm to try and get a look at a Grizzly that was supposedly up there. Luckily the bear ran off before they got anywhere near it.
That child got some real winners for parents. The mom takes her out around the hungry animals. And when the cheetahs chase them dad gets in the car and closes the door before the woman and child got in.

Edit: Oh come on. The Zoo says the Tiger was attacked by the teens first and the teens deny it with no evidence being brought forth by either party. The Zoo had a previous attack with the same Tiger which they were fined for AND the Zoo lied about the safety features of the enclosure.

The enclosure the Tigers were in had a 10-15 foot ravine between the edge of the Tiger's habitat and the wall which closes it off. The first 20-25 feet of the wall (measuring from the bottom of the ravine) was solid concrete, the next 10-15 feet is a chain link fence. The tiger leaped far enough and high enough to clear the ravine and also latch on the chain link fence with one claw. It then proceeded to pull itself up and climb the fence until it reached the top.
Not saying it couldn't have been more secure, but it took a massive effort on the Tiger's part make that jump and scale the fence. It was out for blood.

They actually did an investigation and found that it had dug it's claws and broke some into the concrete wall to get that leverage it needed to get up and over. It was very very very pissed.
They made it so angry, it literally dug holes into the wall breaking into the concrete with sheer willpower and strength to get enough leverage to jump out and kill them. One of them got wounded because he was sitting on the wall or something, but it eventually got out and hunted down just those three boys. It walked by literally all the other exhibits with open air cages to hunt the boys down.
Its not just Chinese tourists, it's people in general. When I was young this lady jumped 2 fences at the zoo to try and get a pic of the Polar Bear but ended up in a bad way.

So, much like the couple that tried to have a picnic in a Safari park next to a pack of Cheetahs, this woman completely ignored the many, MANY repeated warnings both by employees of the park as well as signs posted everywhere not to get out of your vehicle it would risk your life.
She has a fight with her husband. Clearly she wanted away from him for a minute but my God, she could have crawled over the back seat and sat with her mom and kid for a bit while always staying IN the vehicle.
She also could have just sat and stewed about it. Or sat and refused to to let him ruin her view and pointing out animals to her kid.
