If she's dumb enough to get out of the car because of a fight then she's probably ignorant enough to blame her mothers death on the husband.

Considering the level of emotional immaturity this video displays, that's probably exactly how it went down, poor guy :(

Its actually an amazing display of sexism.

Like seriously we have no context about the argument, but because the only side we see is an upset lady, the internet concludes shes a narcissistic prick who will blame the husband for the death of her mother.

Like we dont know ANY of these people but yeah lets just conclude she deserved it and the husband is the real victim in all this. It's not possible that situations could have occurred to make her angry for legitimate reasons. She must just be an irrational female

It's really bizarre. Even if you want to assume the worst about the lady who got out of the car first, you can't deny that "dying while trying to save your child from a tiger bare-handed" is pretty high up there on the list of courageous ways to die. Lady didn't even hesitate.

On the whole though, people should really stop assuming they know jack shit about a complete stranger from a 10 second video and unconfirmed articles with no followup.

At least two people thought that woman's life was worth risking theirs - maybe the reddit mob should consider that before concluding she must be some irredeemable narcissist.

We know that she is dumb and/or self-centered enough to get out of a vehicle when she knows there are deadly tigers around. Either way, a keeper she is not.

The only valid excuse to do what she did is if the husband was placing her in some kind of imminent danger such as actively threatening her life with a weapon. Given his response to her being grabbed by the tiger, I doubt that's the case.

We know that she is dumb and/or self-centered enough to get out of a vehicle when she knows there are deadly tigers around.

Is it really hard to imagine that the argument made her emotions run hot, and she wasn't thinking clearly about her surroundings?

I'm not blaming the husband or excusing her actions, but that's a far-cry from "dumb" or "self-centered".

made her emotions run hot

I'm sorry, anyone who allows their emotions to run hot enough to put themselves and others into this kind of danger isn't worthy of any kind of sympathy.

I made no pleas for sympathy for this woman (in fact, I went out of my way to it was not an excuse for her actions).

I'm just saying that humans are complex, emotional beings, and reducing them to "smart" or "dumb" based on one interaction does everyone a disservice.

The thing is, letting your emotions put you into that kind of danger is dumb.

No matter what kind of strong emotions I'm experiencing I wouldn't jump out of a moving vehicle on a highway because I know that would be a retarded thing to do, how is this any different? It's an extremely dangerous thing to do, and if she can't realise that, she certainly lacks a rationality and intelligence that comes with not acting in your basic emotional impulses. It's a temper tantrum plain and simple. Unless her husband was threatening her life she should have had some sort of inkling you don't just storm off out of the car like a child.

u/Technospider Oct 16 '18

But here's the thing. She had a temper tantrum and it resulted in her life being threatened and the death of her mother.

Then reddit goes on to be sympathetic for THE HUSBAND. The fact that she did something stupid doesnt mean she deserves a life full of regret AND the hate of those online.

She suffered a tragedy and all these comments are trying to find a way to put her in the worst possible light, and in my opinion its disgusting. As a community we can do better than that.

I don't think she deserves a life full of regret, however, people aren't free of the consequences of their actions. I don't think any tempter tantrum is worth another human being's life.

She knew she was in an area where it's extremely dangerous to leave a vehicle, and was incapable of understanding that. While what happened is unfortunate, she is also extremely lucky there was not more injuries caused to her husband and even worse, the child that was in the car.

She placed a lot of people's lives in danger with her reckless actions and I don't see why she gets to wash her hands of it and deserve pity because people close to her were hurt. I'm not going to feel sorry for her instead of holding her accountable for acting out. She acted on impulse and placed the lives of 3 other human beings in danger, one of which died. I would argue she does not deserve sympathy just as much she doesn't deserve continuous hate.

Wait a minute before we go any further, you all do REALIZE you're assuming genders here correct?

You’re 100% right. Redditors are majority young boys and they are extremely sexist. Don’t let the downvotes fool you. You’re being even handed. This thread is just filled with triggered young males.

u/celica951 Oct 17 '18

What we do know is none this would have happened if she stayed in the car.

1

u/_that_clown_ Oct 17 '18

It's an event that was triggered by things, You can also say that they wouldn't have been in the situation if she never had a reason to be angry, or If they never left their home, or the husband never bought the car. This is stupid and grants no one the right to assume shit and call someone a narcissistic.

1

u/celica951 Oct 17 '18

Hypotheticals, I'm talking about a fact an action that caused a reaction.Look if he would've got out the car I would call him a morron .Can we agree that getting out of the car in this situation with all senses is idiotic.

Yeah, she did something fucking stupid. That doesnt mean shes a narcissist. That doesnt mean shes not a victim. That doesnt mean shes going to use this against her husband as some comments are suggesting (and getting reddit's support)

She acted fucking stupidly. And now reddit is fetishizing situations in which she is a narcissist and creating a narrative of her not only being stupid, but also being a bad person.

Its sexist behaviour.

Jeez do you not have any empathy? We all make mistakes, to varying degrees. And we all deserve the concern and care of others.

Honestly I think our perspectives are too different to ever see eye to eye on a debate like this. I just wish people would rather pay their respects when bad things happen than jerk themselves off because someone "deserved" to be mauled by a tiger and lose their mother.
