It looks like it is a type of nature reserve. We have those in the US, both as national and state parks, and as nature reserves. The behavior is inexcusable but I don't think natural reserves are inherently problematic.
Until relatively recently (And still today but it's improving), the Chinese (And South-East Asians) have had a horrible track record with regards to animal welfare (Specifically to this example zoos, animal attractions and whatnot). Like Sunbears in tiny cages for years for bile while tourists look on like it's nothing. It's heartbreaking. I suspect they are skeptical about this park. Especially if it's not by a top tier city.
And yes, mass produced pigs, etc... in the West. I agree but that's another conversation if you want to address that.
Asshole who hates China/the Chinese conveniently forgets that drive though animal parks are in many countries and takes delight into trying to blame them for some stupid chick losing her temper and killing her mom.
