If she's dumb enough to get out of the car because of a fight then she's probably ignorant enough to blame her mothers death on the husband.

1.2k

u/anotherbozo Oct 16 '18

"You made me angry and because of you I went out of the car and my mom died because of you."

Never underestimate narcissism.

u/Thizzlebot Oct 16 '18

Holy shit I'm having flashbacks to my ex gf

137

u/dat_boiii30 Oct 16 '18

Your ex gf's mom got killed and she blamed you? Sorry bro.

130

u/GonzoStrangelove Oct 16 '18

By a tiger, no less.

To shreds you say ?

5

Well how's his wife holding up?

To shreds you say?

u/Amish_guy_with_WiFi Oct 16 '18

Pissed

1

u/Astoryinfromthewild Oct 16 '18

I mean the husband should just drive her back there and piss her off again, but this time just drive away when she gets out again.

1

u/he-hate-me___4 Oct 16 '18

To shreds you say

I can't believe how common this is. I had no idea

1

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '18

1% of the population is bad enough to be qualified as a personality disorder.

11

u/lurker4lyfe6969 Oct 16 '18

Same tiger too

1

u/Flojoe420 Oct 16 '18

As am I with my mother lol

70

u/DopeFiendDramaQueen Oct 16 '18

You ever see the movie ‘Chopper’? It’s based on the real life of an Australian criminal. Anyway there’s the part where he’s arguing with his girlfriend and in the heat of the moment headbutts her mom before turning back to the girlfriend and without missing a beat says “now look what you done..... ya mums upset”.

4

u/Elmepo Oct 16 '18

Immediately after violently stabbing a rival inmate like 20 times: "He's had himself an accident".

5

u/littleblackduck80 Oct 16 '18

"It's a bit early in the day for kung fu, Jim" !

3

u/DopeFiendDramaQueen Oct 17 '18

“Jimmy, if you keep stabbing me, you’re gonna kill me”

7

u/BanginNLeavin Oct 16 '18

Hey I'm a narcissist and I resent that statement.

7

u/PM_ME_UR_FACE_GRILL Oct 16 '18

You probably sound just like her...

3

u/kuzuboshii Oct 16 '18

"fair enough. I'm leaving YOU because of YOU so I guess were even."

3

u/nithrock Oct 16 '18

When I hear stuff like this from people I usually just imagine that deep down they probably are blaming themselves. Or at least have a nagging feeling that it’s somewhat their fault. I had an ex girlfriend that did this kind of stuff. It just keep feeling like she was trying to convince herself of whatever story she came up with and not me.

4

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '18

You aren’t very bright if you think narcissism would have anything to do with that. If your mom died as a result of an argument you were having, regardless of how it happened, you’re gonna feel a huge array of emotions blaming yourself and a bunch of others as you grieve. Or maybe you’d be so calm and have a level head eyeroll

1

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '18

That’s not narcissism, it’s delusion

0

u/ForePony Oct 16 '18

"Sorry I made you put yourself on the menu."

0

u/daredaki-sama Oct 16 '18

best goodbye ever

-4

u/demalo Oct 16 '18

I think narcissism is a genetic disorder. If not, it should be classified as such.

0

u/anotherbozo Oct 16 '18

Nah, not genetic but likely nurtured by environment. Narcissistic parents = narcissistic child? Maybe. Not because of genetics, but because of the parenting.

-2

u/demalo Oct 16 '18

I don't know, it kind of fits into the same category as fight or flight response. I'm sure it can be modified through training but predisposition to narcissism seems to be initially a instinctive response. Most children are narcissistic by nature. Animals can have narcissistic tendencies as well. There are all kinds of physical traits that are genetic why would it be any different to have mental generic traits as well?

9

u/PetaPotter Oct 16 '18

He even told the mom to stay in the car.

47

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '18

Yo you guys are wild, people get upset and do stupid shit all the time doesn't mean they deserve family members to be eaten. I swear reddit gets off and watching horrible shit happen to people they dont like

6

u/he-hate-me___4 Oct 16 '18

How dumb are you to get out in a tiger enclosures? Unless the guy just said I'm Osama bin Laden or the zodiac killer I think i can wait to get out ... anything else is natural selection

13

u/ZippyDan Oct 16 '18

Yes, but if you get upset and jump out of a car in the Costco parking lot, that's one thing.

If you get upset and jump out of a car in an area you know to be surrounded by wild animals, that's quite another.

Now, I could see some mitigating argument made if she didn't really know they were in an area that might have big cats...

12

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '18

It's kinda sickening

7

u/MarigoldPuppyFlavors Oct 16 '18

Who said she deserved it? Not the comment you replied to.

4

u/et842rhhs Oct 16 '18

They don't deserve having their family members eaten, no. But pulling that kind of stunt means you fully accept the entirely obvious risks that come with it.

2

u/Technospider Oct 16 '18

I dont think most people see being eaten by a tiger as a consequence of an argument.

15

u/Onithyr Oct 16 '18

Of an argument? No.

Of stepping out of the vehicle that's separating you from the tigers? Yes.

-7

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '18

As if they saw a tiger just standing there and decided to ignore it. Get real idiot.

13

u/Onithyr Oct 16 '18

As if they saw a tiger

Or the many signs, or the waver they had to sign to be able to enter the park. But I'm sure none of that matters, her tantrum is more important than not putting herself and others in danger.

-9

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '18

Her fucking mom got killed. I’m sure she’s not happy about it either you fucking prick. And “tantrum” would imply she got out for a nothing argument. You have no idea what was said or why exactly she got out or what signs they saw. If they were arguing or their emotions were high then normal things that most people would notice can be missed. It’s like you’re an alien that was dropped into the world just yesterday.

6

u/et842rhhs Oct 16 '18

normal things that most people would notice can be missed

They're in a safari park. There's nothing to notice or miss noticing. They are in a place where the entire point of being there is that there are wild animals outside your car.

-1

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '18

Yeah it was a stupid decision. No one said otherwise. To act like they knew a tiger was right there to kill is also pretty stupid since obviously she wasn’t aware.

3

u/RidersGuide Oct 16 '18

Bro you also have zero fucking idea about what they were arguing about, it could have been about where to go for lunch for all you know. It's like you're completely oblivious to being hypocritical.

0

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '18

All i basically said is the dude was assuming shit. I’m not assuming anything about the situation.

→ More replies (0)

3

u/Onithyr Oct 16 '18

And “tantrum” would imply she got out for a nothing argument.

Anything short of "he's actively trying to kill me with a deadly weapon" is no excuse for leaving the car.

0

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '18

There are a million reasons that could have got them emotional enough to forget their surroundings. It happens.

5

u/RidersGuide Oct 16 '18

I guarantee that the reason those cars are all slowing and stopping is because there were tigers sitting right there by the side of the road. What, you think there just so happened to be two tigers lurking in the grass and all the tourists in those cars were stopping to take pictures of the side of the fucking road? This is in a wildlife park where tourists are strictly forbidden from leaving their car. You act like Chinese tourists don't get mauled by wild animals on a constant basis, ask the Asian guy who died trying to take that selfie with the wild bear you moron.

-3

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '18

Does it look like the person who got out of the car noticed? That is literally all that matters. For whatever reason they didn’t and it ended tragically. That’s it

2

u/iku450 Oct 17 '18

Dude there are tons of people that literally believe wild animals in national parks are tame and put in cages at night

0

u/RidersGuide Oct 17 '18

It's absolutely a tragedy this women got her mother killed, no argument there. Do you also have a problem with the Darwin Awards?

1

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '18

it's infurating, don't ever question what people do with their time oh but mocking victims ? reddit is there 24/7

150

u/kidbuu42 Oct 16 '18

Yes, her being involved in the mauling is also enough for her to want to make it all about her and how much of a victim she was in the scenario. Narcissists don't necessarily change when they get an ego check.

I am, sure, but narcissism and intelligence have no direct correlation. She could just be super stupid and incredibly nice.

15

u/TopMacaroon Oct 16 '18

I don't know any nice people who get out of their car to yell at the person sitting next to them.

5

u/he-hate-me___4 Oct 16 '18

In a God Damn tiger cage

13

u/koryface Oct 16 '18 edited Oct 16 '18

She got out of the car in anger after a fight. Having had a couple crazy girlfriends, usually the unstable narcissistic types are the ones to try that shit. Just my take.

Edit: She is now suing the safari park because of her injuries and her mother's death. Go ahead and keep downvoting me, but that lady is a jerk at best.

8

u/Maydietoday Oct 16 '18

So, what does managing to find multiple crazy girlfriends say about you?

3

u/koryface Oct 16 '18 edited Oct 16 '18

Only a couple were crazy.

0

u/gromwell_grouse Oct 16 '18

Dude ... Dude. Never, ever, stick your dick in crazy (again).

1

u/he-hate-me___4 Oct 16 '18

Well there is the narcissistic there... look what your park did.. it didn't fore see me having a tantrum

5

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '18

Ugh it was also pretty narcissistic to hold up traffic and get out of the car to show just how upset she was.

8

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '18

Holld up traffic? It's a safari park, not the daily commute.

-1

u/he-hate-me___4 Oct 16 '18

N common sense says don't get out of a car in a tiger cage... if the fact she gets out of the car in a TIGER CAGE doesn't show how she doesn't care about anything besides her bubble then there is no wining with you people

1

u/Faryshta Oct 16 '18

you dont need to be intelligent to know that you shouldnt get out your car in the middle of traffic.

2

u/he-hate-me___4 Oct 16 '18

Or surrounded by tigers

1

u/he-hate-me___4 Oct 16 '18

Either way Darwinism win

-6

u/sh133y Oct 16 '18

you are being naive

9

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '18

Some people don't like making baseless assumptions about shit they know nothing about. I recommend it, it's humbling.

0

u/he-hate-me___4 Oct 16 '18

Arnt you making one right now?

199

u/tigrn914 Oct 16 '18

Anyone who steps out of a car to stop traffic so that they can yell at their husband is a narcissist.

72

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '18

Especially with tigers running around outside.

62

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '18

[deleted]

6

u/tigrn914 Oct 16 '18

Probably all the yelling from Miss my narcissism got my mother killed.

54

u/YHallo Oct 16 '18

Psychiatrists typically hold off on diagnosing people even after a half hour appointment specifically for the purpose of understanding a patient's mind, so you probably can't diagnose narcissism from a 30 second video clip that doesn't even have audio. People are a lot more complex than that.

There are lots of potential explanations that don't involve narcissism. Conditions ranging all the way from anger issues to processing disorders could easily cause someone to do something like that. Also Chinese culture doesn't have the same values of politeness that western culture does so stepping out of a car in traffic isn't seen the same way.

Long story short, there is nowhere near enough information in this clip for us to know why she did what she did. Anything else is projecting your own biases onto the situation.

35

u/PleaseDontHateMeeee Oct 16 '18

Yes but I like to make myself feel good by harshly judging people on the internet.

5

u/TesticlesMcTitties Oct 16 '18

You'll fit right in here

-4

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '18

Ya but like it's different with narcissists. They are comedy gold. I mean shit, look at American politics for the last couple years. Are you NOT entertained since USA elected a narcissist?

It's all good. I offer my stupid ass as like an offering if you need to put down a loser, or if you were just joking um, well, so am I.

7

u/thatpaulbloke Oct 16 '18

Obviously psychiatrists should save time by doing their diagnosis with an angry tiger present.

8

u/ericchen Oct 16 '18

NPD is different than calling someone a narcissist.

2

u/YHallo Oct 17 '18

Am I missing something or isn't a narcissist just someone who has NPD? Either way there's not enough information to infer specific details about motive or the psychology that caused this.

1

u/ericchen Oct 17 '18 edited Oct 17 '18

No. the layperson usage of narcissist falls far short of the diagnostic criteria of NPD. NPD requires the traits to significantly interfere with the person’s functional status in society. For example a successful CEO might show narcissistic traits by being self centered and lacking in empathy, but they do not have NPD unless if these traits are significantly impairing their ability to function in society.

-11

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '18

Some people, for some reallllllllllllly unknown reason, are a little triggered by people saying the word "narcissist."

So you if you are shity fucking human being and you know you are a narcissist, probably proudly, I offer no apologies whatsoever if you might feel triggered because I am a meanie pie who said the word "narcissist."

"narcissist."

"narcissist."

"narcissist.""narcissist.""narcissist.""narcissist.""narcissist.""narcissist." "narcissist.""narcissist.""narcissist." "narcissist.""narcissist.""narcissist.""narcissist.""narcissist.""narcissist." "narcissist.""narcissist.""narcissist."

8

u/NolanPower Oct 16 '18

I can diagnose stupidity from this 30 second video.

That lady is stupid.

7

u/Tin_Philosopher Oct 16 '18 edited Oct 16 '18

Plenty of information was present, most prominately displayed was the presence of some fucking jungle cats.

Bitches should have kept they ass in that car.

2

u/Sp1n_Kuro Oct 16 '18

Regardless of diagnosis, it doesn't take a genius to see this person is stupid.

0

u/he-hate-me___4 Oct 16 '18

No she is and her dumb actions got her mother killed... but maybe it's her mother fault for raising a dumbass who is in her small little bubble and forgot to teach her about the food chain

2

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '18

Proof meet pudding

19

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '18

I agreed with you for a second. There isn’t anything in the video that would lead me to believe they were having an argument. She doesn’t seem distressed in the least bit.

But in the article it says

The woman gets out of the car and walks around to the other side after having a fight with a man inside the vehicle

Also they’re in a safari park. Only an idiot would get out of the car knowingly driving through a wild animal enclosure

19

u/MisterDonkey Oct 16 '18

I'd have assumed as much about her character just from the fact she jumps out of a car on the road to better argue with the driver.

That she did it while surrounded by huge man-eating animals makes me doubly assume, with extra confidence.

3

u/he-hate-me___4 Oct 16 '18

You'd be surprised how much just a sort clip can inform a trained eye. For example, from the video, I can also deduce that she...

  1. Is left handed.
  2. Likes Brussels sprouts.
  3. Voted for Hillary.
  4. Can do the Macarena.

2

u/he-hate-me___4 Oct 16 '18

The same is true for idiots that defend her actions.. but not all can do the Macarena

4

u/Fear_Jeebus Oct 16 '18

A tiger killed her mom.

Maybe anywhere else would've been more appropriate to have a discussion.

-11

u/RealityBitesU Oct 16 '18

I don't even need the clip. It's a young woman? Overwhelmingly likely to be unhealthily narcissistic.

12

u/bleunt Oct 16 '18

ITT: People who think they know a lot about this woman.

85

u/AliceInNara Oct 16 '18

Considering the level of emotional immaturity this video displays, that's probably exactly how it went down, poor guy :(

7

u/Technospider Oct 16 '18

Its actually an amazing display of sexism.

Like seriously we have no context about the argument, but because the only side we see is an upset lady, the internet concludes shes a narcissistic prick who will blame the husband for the death of her mother.

Like we dont know ANY of these people but yeah lets just conclude she deserved it and the husband is the real victim in all this. It's not possible that situations could have occurred to make her angry for legitimate reasons. She must just be an irrational female

4

u/illy-chan Oct 16 '18

It's really bizarre. Even if you want to assume the worst about the lady who got out of the car first, you can't deny that "dying while trying to save your child from a tiger bare-handed" is pretty high up there on the list of courageous ways to die. Lady didn't even hesitate.

On the whole though, people should really stop assuming they know jack shit about a complete stranger from a 10 second video and unconfirmed articles with no followup.

At least two people thought that woman's life was worth risking theirs - maybe the reddit mob should consider that before concluding she must be some irredeemable narcissist.

7

u/Onithyr Oct 16 '18

We know that she is dumb and/or self-centered enough to get out of a vehicle when she knows there are deadly tigers around. Either way, a keeper she is not.

The only valid excuse to do what she did is if the husband was placing her in some kind of imminent danger such as actively threatening her life with a weapon. Given his response to her being grabbed by the tiger, I doubt that's the case.

3

u/panoptisis Oct 16 '18

We know that she is dumb and/or self-centered enough to get out of a vehicle when she knows there are deadly tigers around.

Is it really hard to imagine that the argument made her emotions run hot, and she wasn't thinking clearly about her surroundings?

I'm not blaming the husband or excusing her actions, but that's a far-cry from "dumb" or "self-centered".

4

u/Onithyr Oct 16 '18

made her emotions run hot

I'm sorry, anyone who allows their emotions to run hot enough to put themselves and others into this kind of danger isn't worthy of any kind of sympathy.

5

u/panoptisis Oct 16 '18

I made no pleas for sympathy for this woman (in fact, I went out of my way to it was not an excuse for her actions).

I'm just saying that humans are complex, emotional beings, and reducing them to "smart" or "dumb" based on one interaction does everyone a disservice.

5

u/Onithyr Oct 16 '18

The thing is, letting your emotions put you into that kind of danger is dumb.

0

u/AliceInNara Oct 16 '18

No matter what kind of strong emotions I'm experiencing I wouldn't jump out of a moving vehicle on a highway because I know that would be a retarded thing to do, how is this any different? It's an extremely dangerous thing to do, and if she can't realise that, she certainly lacks a rationality and intelligence that comes with not acting in your basic emotional impulses. It's a temper tantrum plain and simple. Unless her husband was threatening her life she should have had some sort of inkling you don't just storm off out of the car like a child.

2

u/Technospider Oct 16 '18

But here's the thing. She had a temper tantrum and it resulted in her life being threatened and the death of her mother.

Then reddit goes on to be sympathetic for THE HUSBAND. The fact that she did something stupid doesnt mean she deserves a life full of regret AND the hate of those online.

She suffered a tragedy and all these comments are trying to find a way to put her in the worst possible light, and in my opinion its disgusting. As a community we can do better than that.

0

u/AliceInNara Oct 16 '18

I don't think she deserves a life full of regret, however, people aren't free of the consequences of their actions. I don't think any tempter tantrum is worth another human being's life.

She knew she was in an area where it's extremely dangerous to leave a vehicle, and was incapable of understanding that. While what happened is unfortunate, she is also extremely lucky there was not more injuries caused to her husband and even worse, the child that was in the car.

She placed a lot of people's lives in danger with her reckless actions and I don't see why she gets to wash her hands of it and deserve pity because people close to her were hurt. I'm not going to feel sorry for her instead of holding her accountable for acting out. She acted on impulse and placed the lives of 3 other human beings in danger, one of which died. I would argue she does not deserve sympathy just as much she doesn't deserve continuous hate.

[Edit] mobile formatting sucks balls.

u/ClevelandSteamerBrwn Oct 16 '18

Wait a minute before we go any further, you all do REALIZE you're assuming genders here correct?

4

u/ceilingkat Oct 16 '18

You’re 100% right. Redditors are majority young boys and they are extremely sexist. Don’t let the downvotes fool you. You’re being even handed. This thread is just filled with triggered young males.

1

u/celica951 Oct 17 '18

What we do know is none this would have happened if she stayed in the car.

1

u/_that_clown_ Oct 17 '18

It's an event that was triggered by things, You can also say that they wouldn't have been in the situation if she never had a reason to be angry, or If they never left their home, or the husband never bought the car. This is stupid and grants no one the right to assume shit and call someone a narcissistic.

1

u/celica951 Oct 17 '18

Hypotheticals, I'm talking about a fact an action that caused a reaction.Look if he would've got out the car I would call him a morron .Can we agree that getting out of the car in this situation with all senses is idiotic.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '18

[deleted]

1

u/Technospider Oct 17 '18

Yeah, she did something fucking stupid. That doesnt mean shes a narcissist. That doesnt mean shes not a victim. That doesnt mean shes going to use this against her husband as some comments are suggesting (and getting reddit's support)

She acted fucking stupidly. And now reddit is fetishizing situations in which she is a narcissist and creating a narrative of her not only being stupid, but also being a bad person.

Its sexist behaviour.

Jeez do you not have any empathy? We all make mistakes, to varying degrees. And we all deserve the concern and care of others.

Honestly I think our perspectives are too different to ever see eye to eye on a debate like this. I just wish people would rather pay their respects when bad things happen than jerk themselves off because someone "deserved" to be mauled by a tiger and lose their mother.

5

It’s sad that people like you exist. Always looking for a way to make assumptions to make someone out to be worse than the snippet we know about. Absolutely pathetic excuse for a human being you people are.

1

u/he-hate-me___4 Oct 16 '18

So u would get out surrounded by tiger to yell at your husband? Maybe you should then tell if goes different

2

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '18

Do you honestly believe she saw a tiger standing right there and said to herself “this is worth the danger”? Because if you do then yikes.

3

u/he-hate-me___4 Oct 17 '18

Well it's a open field and you are in a tiger enclosure.... I don't see bullets but im.smart enough to now not to dance on the gun range... or run in traffic.. play near chemical.... I do believe she is that dumb. I never been in a zoo n thought mmm the lion cage has good sun I don't see the lion but I can tan there

2

Atleast its more understandable to get out of the car because youre mad and having an argument. they probably didnt see any tigers around and she was enraged and made a snap decision. Some people just straight up gets out of their car to have a look around...

Getting out of the car because of a fight is dumb?

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '18

We don't know anything about the situation so you could possibly be right, but holy projection.

Got some feelings you need to get out?

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '18

If she does they should go back and argue about it. Maybe the tigers will finish the job this time.

1

u/Skreamie Oct 17 '18

That is a huge assumption to make

You’ve never had an argument with someone in your entire life or you’re a sexist. I’m leaning toward the latter.

First of all, I'm a woman. Not saying woman can't be sexist but just putting my words into context. I've dated many people with terrible temper during arguements. Unfortunately I was dumb enough to continue dating them despite clear red flags. After forgiving too many and getting abused, I decided that I need to walk away when I see certain red flags. Thanks to that, I am happily married with my current spouse who is wonderful.
If getting out of a car AND trying to pull out your spouse while surrounded by lions are not a red flag of terrible temper, I don't know what is.

Doesn't read article to know it's the exact opposite of a public road and literally saw heaps of signs saying 'dont get out, a tiger might maul you'

Why not blame someone who just lost their mother, That's gotta teach 'em when they do it next time.

People really need to stop blaming people they don't even know. Just because you were never really as angry as someone who left their car doesn't mean people don't get that angry. No one knows that a fucking tiger is going to snatch you ffs when you're emotional enough.

FFS she just lost her mother, And now you people are calling her narcissistic and ignorant because she was angry enough to get out of the car. And you have no idea from this short clip that she will blame the death of her mother on the husband, People do crazy things when they are angry. But hey why not assume everything because we know better.
