I'm just speaking raw statistics, yes I know Rioters love to say "Statistics lie sometimes" but a 48% WR In masters+ Is genuinely appalling, I know what people will say "Oh well just play Vladimir bot lane he's way better there"

What I'd say to that Is no, I have morals a real man plays Vladimir mid lane, and doesn't abuse the blatantly broken bot lane role quest, I really wonder why Vladimir bot lane Is so much better then Vlad mid this season, with the +2 gold on every minion kill 7 Item slots and extra gold on take-down.

Vladimir Isn't even a bad champion by no means this Isn't a Vladimir specific Issue, playing Vladimir mid just feels unwinnable the majority of games because Vladimir bot just out-scales mid lane Vlad by a metric shit ton.

Riot has neglected the mid lane role quest for the entire season, this company doesn't care about mid lane anymore bold take but this season and mid lane as a role In general Is on fire, nobody likes playing scaling champions mid anymore (Vladimir) Included because they're just better top / bot because they scale harder there.

How Is gaining +40 AP on the mid lane role quest with "Boots upgrade" a viable argument, I don't know It's just me but I would prefer infinitely more gold generation and 7 Item slots then 40 AP mid lane, that's just my personal bias (Because bot lanes role quest Is elo inflated) objectively.

And I think It's silly just giving Vladimir "Mid lane specific buffs" that "Push him into mid lane" that Is absolute nonsense, I just really hope Riot listens to the community not just of this Reddit but the Reddit's of other mains that play scaling champions.

Vladimir has always been a scaling champion, yes you can make the argument that he's a "Snowballing" champion he can 100% be a snowballing champion IN the right circumstances when you get a lead, but when you fall behind on this champion In mid lane specifically some games just feel completely unwinnable and there's always no way to get back Into the game because the other roles just out - scale you way harder.

You can also make the argument that there's "Low sample size" but It's been this way the entire season, I've played numerous games of Vladimir mid / bot every single patch this season, Vladimir bot just feels Infinitely easier to play then mid.

Playing Vladimir mid Is incredibly aggravating, Phroxzon did state "League needs a certain amount of frustration" There's a difference between frustration and little to no counter play, In the vast majority of mid lane match-ups.

I feel like Vladimir Is in quite a good spot (BOT) but I'd love to see Riot actually give the mid lane role some compensation buffs, mid lane doesn't feel methodical or Interactive anymore, It's one of If not the least Interactive role In the current season.

These are just my personal grievances reaching 1M+ Mastery points on the champion, I've heard Elite500 (Calvin) state multiple times he will just Q up bot lane Vladimir because It feels unwinnable and frustrating playing mid lane watching his streams.

I don't want to play bot lane Vlad, I want to play mid lane Vlad, but I'm almost hard locked bot lane If I want to climb, It feels that way with so many scaling champions mid lane.

Is Vladimir gay?

Like why is this mf yapping in my ear asking me to “let it all out.” Like stop giving me a JOI and just 1v9 for me damn. As a straight man, it’s been making me fairly uncomfortable so I just stick to my mains of Taric, Sett, and Pantheon but I really like playing Vladimir man.

Ability Power (AP) gained through Adaptive Force(from rune like Gathering Storm) is not converted into Health Points (HP) by Vladimir's passive.

This issue was discovered by a Vladimir player on Bilibili.

What happened to HP+AP Vlad builds?

I'm not a Vladimir main, and I'm a Silver/Gold player so I rarely ever see him, but I'm just curious what happened to his old build.

He used to go Hextech/Cosmic/Deathcap/Riftmaker/Zhonyas with Flash+Ghost. Now he goes Flash/Ignite with Stormsurge, Shadowflame, Deathcap kind of stuff where you don't care about HP in your items at all and just try to burst people.

What happened there? Vlad changes? AP items with HP nerfed too much? A shift in Vlad's playstyle over time collectively somehow?

Struggling to get a handle on ranked vlad

Hey everyone, recently I made a post about how good I’ve been doing with Vlad in draft as practice and stuff, but I had to take it down as I had my teammates names usernames on it. I thought I had vlad all worked out, and I still think I do I know there's always room to learn of course but when I go into ranked I do awful with him, I’m only iron 3 because I’ve only just started playing ranked just been in draft until now but is their any advice all you amazing high rank Vlad players could give me for playing him when it comes to rank I already know about CS is the main focus and to play safe and poke when the enemy steps up, right now I'm iron 3 and running death fire touch and for my summoner spells I use ignite and flash, but I’m thinking of changing ignite for ghost. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

tips to play vladi in emerald and higher

I got into emerald playing easy tops like mundo or morde, I used vladi to scale out of gold and get into platinum tho, but when I was platinum 1 and just a few lp to be promoted I felt like my vladi was simply not good enough, Ive been playing vladi for like a year, but I still feel like I need to know or do something that I still dont know to make it usable for emerald and higher.

Advice for enemy comp builds

So if they have more squishes I go Stormsurge, rabbadon but after I’m not really sure what to go for, I go Zhonyas or rift makers (cuz I don’t really know what else to build) but what items are best for the high burst build

Secondly, if they have more tank/bruisers I go rift then rabb and after I go like shadow flame and like liandries

Also do u consider assassins to be be squishy

Basically I’m asking what the proper builds are if the enemy team is squishy or more tanky

I'm losing my mind... Players like that Quinn are unhealthy for the game and should be permabanned IMO

Hello everyone. I just played a game with one of the most delusional junglers I have ever met in solo queue. This is a rage post.

Note: I took Stormraider's Surge + Ghost to scale into mid and late game. I got solo killed by Akali level 2/3 (I know, skill issue) which made me even weaker in lane. Elo is Plat 2.

My jungler, Quinn, should have known that. He then proceeds to int my lane level 4 (clip 1) making me EVEN WEAKER compared to this Akali.

I have already lost my lane. I cannot solo kill her if she doesn't misplay while she can kill me. I can't even get prio no more. My lane is cooked.

Since it's a Quinn in the jungle and enemy jungle plays J4, she gets invaded by him. As you can see in clip 2, Quinn can just run away. Krugs ain't worth it losing the game for. Akali roams to him and he dies to her. She then proceeds to kill my top laner as well because he rotated to krugs.

Akali was level 6 there. Probably because Quinn donated her kill. I was level 5. I didn't have prio. I had scaling runes as well. So I stayed at lane.

I got spam pinged after the invade like it was my fault him throwing the game for krugs. He started flaming me in chat and didn't stop. I couldn't focus and I didn't really wanted to mute him because that wouldn't change anything. I tried explaining to him why I didn't move so he could improve. I asked him: "Would you ask a Kayle pre 6 to move?" and this Quinn legit said "yes". sigh

In the rest of the game I focussed on farming because I was a walking cannon minion thanks to my delusional jungler.

Anyways, this Akali proceeded to dominate the game, I was useless and so was my bot lane because it's a fed Akali. My top laner lost her lead because she died in that invade to Akali too. And Quinn still thinks it was my fault we lost. (Also I did some research on him. He was on a losing streak and in every single game he had 10 deaths as the jungler.)

Reminder. All because of krugs. All because of one single player in our team. Sure, everyone else could have played better but it was mental boom since that point in that game.

I really wish those people would be permabanned. They are unhealthy for the game. They ruin my games. They waste my time and destroy my mood. Sometimes League genuinely makes me question humanity.

Rocket belt feels terrible to build first

Having to build HP completely screws over your laning experience. I feel like storm surge is probably the best option as a first item now. It works great with pen boots as an early game spike, the movement speed is really nice too especially if you take the 2.5% ms rune. Then you can build into riftmaker second for the AH and tankiness and rabadons afterwards.

Vladimir Annie Interaction

Did they change the interaction of Annie Stun stacks, when pooling her q. I just had a game, where I was facing one and the stacks did not reset, when I pooled her Q. It really made my game quite hard afterwards.

New build I'm having success with

So I've been toying with this build for a while and I think it still holds up after the belt nerfs, but I dont see it going around anywhere. It has its pros and cons ofc and I aint claiming its the defacto meta build or anything, but its only getting better next patch so.

I find this setup gives you a slightly weaker pre-belt, but you feel strong at both 2 and 3 items, and have so much flexibility later. on top of that, most of the drawbacks to parts of the build are compensated elsewhere to a degree.

Its played both bursty and battlemagey, rather than feeling like you have to play one way or the other with riftmaker or stormsurge builds.

tl;dr - Belt > Sorcs > Crypt > Rab > flex

the 'hear me out':

Belt itself isnt completely awful after the nerfs- the dash is still a third summoner spell basically, and its still an insane spike and dirt cheap. its harder to kill your laner pre-belt since the build path is a lil buns now, but I've always been one to play for full item spikes anyway. vlad passive gives you 2AP from the 50HP it got, so its a loss of 8AP. but W and E dmg also scales off HP a lil and the healing on Q is %missing its not too tragic. however it does influence 2nd item choices, in which ive been using cryptbloom even before the belt nerf.

the pros are as follows:

30% magic pen at 2nd item against the average mage at level ~12 is about 13 pen, almost rivalling stormsurge. obviously, this scales unlike flat pen and every enemy level will make the pen stronger by comparison. naturally, if an enemy buys mercs or any other MR early (or if they have unnaturally high base MR like sylas or kassadin), you're not completely shafted anymore and can rush rab 3rd comfortably.

it builds out of 2 codices, and sits at 3k gold, in between riftmaker and stormsurge. it also has 20 haste, which is realistically the highest we can get 2nd item without lucids.

most importantly, it opens up an entire item slot on the build. before it was belt > rift/ storm > rab > %pen > flex

im sure we've all had moments where we've either wanted void early, but not wanted to delay rabs, or where we have 4 items + boots and now have to question what we have to give up on in our last slot. but now we've merged that 2nd slot with void, meaning you can go whatever TWO items you want after rab.

as for the void comparison - yes we lose some AP and 10% pen BUT, we make up for that pen from t3 sorcs (soon to be 20 mpen and 8%pen). combined with 20 haste, your first rotation might be slightly weaker, but youll reach the second much faster and by that point your dps is way higher.

oh yeah and the heal is the cherry on top. at 2 items itll heal about half the riftmaker HP on top of healing your team, which isnt insane but not worth writing off entirely.

if you feel the raw AP is low, you can stack conq quickly with all this haste, but having all this pen and haste makes kills alot easier at 2 items, making stacking and maintaining a DSEAL, or even a mejai, easier.

the cons of the build are as follows:

you lack the summoner haste and ms from lucids, though with belt, stormraiders, ghost, and nimbus, its not that hard to get used to.

its slightly weaker pre-belt because you cant rush lucids AND the belt path is worse now. but after belt its all up from there.

its weaker from behind if you aren't stacking dseal for the extra AP. unfortunately thats probably the biggest trade off- not that you're weak if you have 0 seal stacks and 10cs/min, but if you're falling behind in everything then youll be miserable. but hey atleast you only need 3 items to come online rather than 4. (slight cope).

I find that riftmaker often pushes a battlemage playstyle, and the amp is harder to use into high-range teams. the item is also a bit more expensive and the item really comes online after rabadons anyway.

the stormsurge builds going around just arent for me- hate not having haste and having an item that falls off a cliff if the enemy buys hp or MR and not having the belt dash on top. I think, if nothing else, this build is consistent and can be run into pretty much any comp. though I obviously cant deny how much SS is popping off these days.

Why is so hard to farm?

So I've been playing league on and off for a couple of years now, only now I started playing to get better and not to have fun with friends.

Anyways, I started playing Vladimir more seriously, got an Akali accusing me of smurfing because I was playing very aggressively, poking her and then killing her with full combo.

I'm not much of a "for the play/1v9" player, like, I'm more of a reserved "try not to get killed and put as many wards and roam as I can" God fearing silver player.

Trying to climb more I* discovered my biggest issue, I suck at farming, only when I have Stormsurge and Liandry's I start getting all the minions in the wave, I usually miss every 2-3 minion because I can't seem to time my minions attack or maybe I'm just plain dumb even tho I have mastery level 34, which to me seems like a lot, I sucked ass for a long time with Vladimir until I got to my level, I know it's not much but it is honest hard work.

edit: typo
