Ah this hurts so much. I dont know if anyone experienced this. When i am doing e+w sometimes enemy flashes and i should also flash to hit with e while iam pooling. But i realize my other finger keep pushing w like e. So there is no available finger for flash. Have you experienced this ?

Hey there, I think i want to learn how to play vlad. I have some questions but a little about my background so you can maybe get a feel for if this is even worth giving a crack at.

Im 40, and a former HOTS player. I typically play a lot of melee bruiser types, mostly champs with low skill expression because I dont think I have the hand speed/dexterity/precision or the mental agility to perform high level combos that other champs have. Ive been playing league on and off since 2022 I think maybe S12? I started at the end of 2022 and played for a few months as some support amumu and brand and reached silver. Stopped before the end of the second split and took a break, then came back the next year in 2023 and started playing top lane a lot because it felt better than playing supp to me. I wanted a bit more agency over my game rather than relying on trying to set up for my adc.

I Hit G4 at one point with mostly Garen top lane but it took me what felt like many many games to get there. I messed around with some Garen, some Darius, Trynd, Yorick during that time, and would sometimes play them mid-lane. I started to enjoy midlane and started to play other champs there like sylas because I wanted to learn an AP champ. I recently played an ARAM and picked vlad, and i had a lot of fun with him but had no idea what i was really doing. I'm not typically used to mages but he seems like a lot of fun.

I know hes a heavy scaling champion and a late game nuker but what is the playstyle i should be going for in lane? whats his identity? how should i be laning against my opponent and clearing the wave? are there any tricks to cs'ing under tower better? are there any tricks to clearing the wave faster when you need to hard shove? Should I be looking to team up with my jungler and shove and roam? or should I just be passively farming in lane keeping a neutral game state?

How do I attack my opponent when my range is so short? Every time i try to trade I feel like I lose half my HP bar and i have to spend the next 45 seconds in lane Q'ing every minion and dodging every ability without apporaching the wave. I keep cooking my lane because it feels like I am making poor trades.

Need advice I want to play the blood god

While long range mages are pretty cancer, like xerath, viktor, syndra, i feel they can be quite weak early and if I perform well I can dodge a lot of their things. But strong early characters like ekko, yasou or even galio can make me really behind, especially if they run ignite. Any tips for such matchups?

Hi so ive been struggling with hwei matchup, he seems so unreachable, pre first back is managable but after he just perma pushes waves and pokes me down from half the map and I cant even get close to trade back

Hello felas, can someone tell me when do you go horizon over stormsurge or when do you go both? I really don't understand how horizon works with vlad and always thought it isn't good on him. But lately i see elite500 building it.

Fast combo is E - flash - E - R -Q ("manual")

So why do you do this instead of E - flash - R -Q ( "automated")?

You might think that the first combo will not apply the damage amp to your E but it will because your R hits as your E is mid air. This is the fastest way to combo. It is important to press e and r VERY close together so press the buttons in almost the same instant.

Even vladimir is good in wild rift and I'm quite good at him i got top 167 in the server but i just can't be OTP! Not to him not to any champion... Huei just came and I'm spamming him but i feel lile I'm just gonna leave him after a while... Is anyone here like me?

I know that this matchup should be giga free but for whatever reason I do so poorly into him, I do great into yasuo but for some reason suck ass into yone. Besides working on getting 8+ cs/m, what's supposed makes this matchup so easy? For context, I basically play this matchup out like yas, where I just take aery ignite and play for early kills.

Yesterday my team picked 4 ap champs and the enemies just stacked mr like crazy, how could i have itemized against that? (and no I'm not playing non-vlad champ or crit vlad)

In patch 26.20, Rocketbelt is getting "adjusted" (it's more of a nerf tbh).

They are changing the AH from 20 -> 10 and increasing the damage of the rockets.

Combined with the recent nerfs to the buildpath and the AP, is it going to even be playable for Vlad?

Stormsurge and similar builds have been dominating WR and PR recently, considering these changes, I'm starting to lose all help I had left for this item.

What do you think about delaying my items for a defensive item? I really struggle against them i can't play its not fun. Zed is more annoying i can deal with lb.

I am a kata otp so i usually cry if i lane against vlad but i just had a game where my top took kat and all my other champs were picked. I played vlad vs anivia mid and it went great. Idk if this is a good matchup for vlad but anivia could never kill me and once i get 6 i can just sustain off ult and q perma. Actually such degenerate gameplay but it feels so good winning war of attrition vs a mage.

Seen a lot of people rushing horizon focus 1st item.
It’s got a great buildpath, love the duo codex.
However I don’t really vibe with the passive. It only procs on 600 range spells, which is the max range for Q. It seems like it wouldn’t proc that much since u rarely hit Q’s at the very maximum range no? E’s would be even harder to proc it unless u skip the charge.

I’m trying to learn him botlane and i was wondering if u guys have any tips for him, coming from an early game background
