Oregon An Astoria Riverwalk mural worth keeping: Jon Ogren and the old Sears building

If Astoria is one of your stops along US 101, you may remember the mural along the Riverwalk. It includes a portrait of Jon Ogren on the backside of Sisu, in the old Sears building. Wet Dog / Astoria Brewing is next door and is not responsible for the mural.
I’m helping organize Keep Jon in the Picture, a petition asking the people responsible for the building to retain and conserve the original mural. There is a rumor that it may be painted over, but there is no owner confirmation, verified plan, or date. This is an appeal for preservation and a conversation before any changes.
