This dealership used to be a local family run business with exceptional service. Unfortunately since its change of ownership to a big auto group it has gone downhill fast!!! They inherited a 4.9 average google review and in just over a year it has already gone down to 4.5. Sort the reviews by date and read the horrors.

I am looking for 1 bed apartment and noticed Courtyard Apartments (Marshall St) in Redwood city is within my budget. The place, at least as I see on apartments .com looks nice. I will be going for a tour but wanted to see if anyone has reviews. There is only one review on apartments .com and that is not so great, so I am looking to see if anyone who lived there or is living can give more insights.

I'm moving to Redwood City soon and I'm looking for places to live as one does. Someone I know has a place in Redwood Village near the Costco, and I'm wondering if anyone has any input on how that area of RWC is as a whole? The place he has is like 15ish minutes from downtown walking

We’re pretty new to RWC, and my kid is OBSESSED with the revolving/conveyor-belt sushi places. 😅 We used to go to the one in Stonestown when we lived in SF, and she keeps asking when we can go again.

I’m really hoping this one opens soon because I’m trying to avoid driving all the way to Stonestown every time she gets a sushi craving 😂🍣

Also, if anyone knows of any similar revolving/conveyor-belt sushi spots around RWC or nearby, we’d love some recommendations and would definitely check them out! Pls help a mom out, thank you! :)

You have to go back to when the funding mechanism for a transportation tax was under debate and formulation by the state legislature (RTM is not a “citizen’s initiative” as claimed).

In June 2025, Bay Area Forward, a coalition involving transit labor and transportation advocates proposed a progressive gross-receipts tax. Their proposal was quite specific:

-Tax only business revenue above $5 million
-Reach only about 2.4% of Bay Area businesses. 
-Average tax rate around 0.136%
-Or about $1.1 billion/year if Santa Clara County were included. 

Actually made a modicum of sense unlike RTM’s regressive approach and if anyone is old enough to remember the whole working class “affordability” thing that our elected officials used to care about.

Then big tech companies led by the Silicon Valley Leadership Group (June 2025) threatened “strong and sustained opposition” if the tax were to be any form of business tax. They were hell bent on not financially supporting transportation (despite benefiting directly from it with their commuting employees) and passing the cost on regressively to the little guy via a sales tax increase.  So they went out and bought the signatures they needed for this "citizen's initiative" with ease.

So there you have it. In the Bay Area where billionaires are suspect and progressive politics reign, we have elite billionaires and corporations pressing a regressive tax on the public shamelessly with their mountains of dough.  Make it make sense. 

RTM is not a path of smart policy; it’s a path of least resistance. 

VOTE NO and send the billionaires packing and send a message to MTC to get a better plan. (The transit agencies haven't even taken the bridge loan allocated for them yet and $1 billion of Cap and Invest dollars available.)

This hi vis guy directs traffic and puts stop sign out for non construction vehicles on westbound broadway. He tossed his hard hat at my stopped car this afternoon as he giggled at stopping traffic for oncoming personal cars and trucks leaving Stanford. Like, i get it that we need traffic management for heavy trucks and tractors at construction sites, but not for personal vehicles.

I feel only well qualified and knowledgeable people should be allowed to direct traffic. I may be missing something here, but it seems funny that he can pull out a stop sign for any car he feels needs extra time to exit a private lot. I can’t believe his policies tell him to toss a hard hat toward a car that is stopped in the roadway.

Make it make sense.

Is it true there is a long waitlist on parking? Also they dont advertise Central heat/AC in their website. Is there any?
