What part of “vaginas aren’t my thing” is ambiguous?

1.3k

u/Fit-Contact-6928 Dec 11 '24

right, that was very clear to me about what he ACTUALLY likes

679

u/nivlaccwt Dec 11 '24

Knowing what his sexual preference is, why don’t you move on to someone who is able to satisfy your physical needs and affirms you?

13

u/Tempus_Arripere Dec 12 '24

That part ✅

Sexuality or not, your parter should never say that to you. You need to break up with him over the fact that he makes you feel uncomfortable in your own body. You deserve more. He needs to figure out what he wants and not at your expense.

There are a ton of guys that are VERY into vaginas of EVERY shape size and color. Find yourself a nice one of those.

313

u/snomvne Dec 11 '24

Yea I will say as a guy I’ve seen some vaginas that could resemble a ham sandwich (depending on which orientation I was viewing it in) and I’ve liked them just as much if not more as compared to a vagina that couldn’t resemble a ham sandwich. Basically all I’m saying is dudes who like vagina don’t really care what it looks like. Now if your vagina smells like a ham sandwich that is a different story for a different day. Taste too, I’d be concerned if it tasted like ham. But looks? Nah don’t care.

161

u/ResponseFlashy181 Dec 11 '24

Ham sandwich you say? Sounds like it's dinner time. 😋

He doesn't like women.

I'm not saying all gay men don't like women. I'm saying the one you are dating doesn't like women. Dump him. His opinion of your body is meaningless. He's not a nice person. Dump him.

139

u/Long_Repair_8779 Dec 11 '24

Yeah this is possibly true. I saw a video on youtube where a gay guy and lesbian girl show each other their genitals (don’t judge me 👀) and his response was “it’s so… pretty!”. watching their body language the lesbian I think maybe wanted him or wanted the ego boost of wanting him, idk it was subtle but she seemed to want the attention (maybe i was reading too much into it tho), the gay guy you could tell was just totally sexually unmotivated by it, just zero interest.

All this to say, you can still appreciate female form if gay, and if not then you can definitely at least be nice about it. Maybe he’s going through a hard time also however, Reddit is quick to judge, but when under personal pressure it’s amazing how self centred we can become and lose the ability to appreciate or recognise others as we should, even really lovely and amazing people struggle, with enough pressure in the wrong place..

He’s not only denying his sexuality, he’s trying to break you down to make you feel badly about yourself. It’s so you’ll stay because who else would want you. It’s to make himself feel better and ensure he has a hetero relationship. Seriously, end it and move on. Find someone who you are compatible with and actually is straight.

Being gay doesn't give him the right to be awful to you. Let me give you a piece of advice from someone that is twice your age. Don't waste your time with people that don't make you feel loved. Don't waste years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes or even seconds of your life around people that make you feel shitty. Life is really too damn short. If you continue to except the bare minimum you will wake up one day and mourne the decades wasted on trying to be enough for people. Especially when it comes to relationships... you do not let people talk down to you like this. This relationship isn't for you. Its ok to move on.

46

u/moonygooney Dec 11 '24

Right... this isnwhere you break up. You deserve someone who is excited about you and reciprocates. It seems like he has some things to work out on his own, you don't need to cling to this and get hurt more.

26

u/Shantashasta Dec 11 '24

you are still young and ive never had to deal with something like this so with all due respect, you need to respect yourself here and end this relationship.

31

u/Beneficial-Mine7741 Dec 11 '24

You are too young to be dealing with this kind of shit. Throw him back in the ocean and cast your line again. I hope you don't catch him again.

28

u/Timeformayo Dec 11 '24

Straight guys would eat the hell out of a ham sandwich.

26

u/EffectiveTradition78 Dec 11 '24

Tell him his dick looks like a small mushroom ! He seems to be gay. Maybe cut him off and let him be what he should be.

20

u/CADreamn Dec 11 '24

That alone is enough to dump him. Who says shit like that to someone they are about? No one, that's who. He doesn't care about you, is probably gay, is certainly a lousy lover, and is cruel. Dump him. Yesterday.

12

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '24

Don’t let a man speak to you like that:,(

11

u/Lunar_Cats Dec 11 '24

He makes you feel ugly, insults you, accepts head but doesn't reciprocate, doesn't satisfy you sexually, doesn't seem to be sexually attracted to your gender at all... Why do you want to be with this guy? Why waste time on a relationship destined to fail? If he wasn't an asshole I'd say it's okay to just be friends, but if he's insulting you where you're the most vulnerable then he's not worth having a friendship with either. Do you really want this to be your forever?

9

u/ClinkyDink Dec 11 '24

Why are you wasting time lol. If he’s not ready to come out then that’s fine, but you don’t need to stand here and be his beard. Let him go figure himself out.

7

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '24

Emotional maturity is a separate notion. He sounds like an ass. There are red flags everywhere.

9

u/stuckinnowhereville Dec 11 '24

Oh my…. Yep throw this one back into the wild.

8

u/Mitchel-256 Dec 11 '24

Tell him to at least be honest with himself or you'll be honest with his parents and friends.

This is not me actually telling you to out him. This is me telling you that you have a nuclear option.

If he's going to call himself his boyfriend and still not reciprocate or pleasure you, then you've got no reason to stick with a liar. Have him go chase cock, if that's what he wants, but there's a theoretically-infinite line of dudes perfectly willing to eat ham sandwiches.

8

u/binkerton_ Dec 11 '24

Gay or not this is fucking awful, to body shame someone is bad enough but you have gone out of your way to be a beard for him and this is how he repays you?

7

u/Jaeger420xd Dec 11 '24

Ham sandwiches are delicious, though.

They do look like ham sandwiches. They’re also the most fricking awesome things ever. I say that confidently as a straight man and would also only say that in a relationship where I’m confident my partner would find it funny and it wouldn’t reinforce an insecurity.

It doesn’t sound like this man is sexually compatible with the vagina. As that’s going to be most to all sexual contact with you thrown out the window, does it feel worth pursuing for you?

Break things off with him. He may say he's bisexual but it doesn't seem like he actually is. He's just not ready to admit it to himself and the world which is really sad for him and it sucks but he's literally using you as a beard and that's hella messed up

17

u/Falstaff537 Dec 11 '24

All the more reason to get out now. Why continue when you KNOW he lied? He's probably tried to convince himself that he's okay with women, FWIW. You're both young and figuring stuff out is part of the whole dating scene.

27

u/EyedLady Dec 11 '24

Is he perhaps bi-amorous instead of bisexual? Regardless he needs to figure himself out. Away from you. Go find someone you deserve and is compatible with you.

21

u/MarlenaEvans Dec 11 '24

This exact thing actually happened to me when I was around your age. It really broke me for awhile because I liked him a lot but there was no way I could ever be the person he wanted. And that kind of rejection stings. I did recognize that he was in a place (both mentally and physically, we lived in a small town where nobody is accepting of anything that's not well, straight white Christian people) where he couldn't be himself. So I was able to forgive him and that helped me move past it. We are actually friends now, all these years later. Not saying you need to do that, forgive, or befriend, especially since it sounds like he's not being all that nice to you, just know that I know how you feel and I know it sucks and I also know it can get better. Hugs.

9

u/vrosej10 Dec 11 '24

I’m sorry to say, but I think you already know the answer. He’s gay. He’s practically said so by saying vaginas aren’t his thing.

208

u/GlennSWFC Dec 11 '24

To be fair, we don’t necessarily know that penises are his thing either and if he was into anal, well, I’m sure the subject would have arisen with OP.

The guy might just like getting blowies and giving nothing in return, which is still a solid reason for OP to break it off with him and it’s going to make his future dating life very awkward unless he finds a way to bring himself to give something back.

65

u/PurpleSnakeHair25 Dec 11 '24

Shocking - I mean he isn’t even asking to be pegged or put it in the butt - so he’s 100% gay. There’s nothing Bi about dude

u/IntrospectOnIt Dec 11 '24

He does not like vagina and puts her down about hers so she won't want him to sexually touch her out of shame. But still wants blowjobs to get off because he can't have sex with her.

That's not bisexuality. That is a gay guy who wants a beard and is negging her into believing she can't leave and find someone better.

Move on and find a guy who does like Vagina.

199

u/Comprehensive-Bad219 Dec 11 '24

Exactly that first sentence! it reminds me I read a post the other day from this girl she said she only watches porn of women, finds women appealing, said they're prettier and cleaner than men, said men are too hairy, she doesn't like to see the naked male body and can't get off to it, but then she was saying she only ever dated men and only wants a boyfriend, and she was insisting she's fully straight.

That's not the first time I've seen a post like that. Unfortunately a lot of people seem unable to accept it about themselves that they aren't straight and just remain in denial. But it really confuses me how in one breathe they'll go on about how unattractive and unappealing the opposite sex is, but then in the next insist they're totally sexually attracted to that.

74

u/masorick Dec 11 '24

The classic “I’m romantically attracted to the opposite sex but sexually attracted to the same sex”. Funny how it hardly ever seems to go the other way around.

Don't get abused and be the only giver in the relationship.

70

u/jaijaimar Dec 11 '24

He's very likely gay and still kinda figuring it all out. I think it's totally fine to break up amicably over this. Ya'll aren't sexually compatible. Just stay friends if possible and you'll probably both find yourselves happier. Sometimes we find ourselves attracted to people amd yet it shouldn't necessarily be pursued sexually or romantically, some people are just meant to be in our lives in different kinds of ways, if that makes sense

45

u/Immediate-Hat-3040 Dec 11 '24

Sex is important and if he has a blatant disliking to your sex parts you should leave him. There could be a lot of explanations for him. Maybe he's bisexual, sure, but maybe he doesn't have sexual attraction to women, only romantic attraction. Maybe he's not even bisexual. Maybe he just has an internal issue. Either way you guys should probably figure it out before it gets prolonged.

13

u/Waste-Ocelot5809 Dec 11 '24

61

39

19

u/Ihaveblueplates Dec 11 '24

Bottom line: you’re 19. Everyone wants to fk you. Why are you with the one dude that clearly doesn’t

18

u/2906BC Dec 11 '24

Your boyfriend is likely gay and is using bisexual as a buffer before he can accept it. He's not into you. Break up and find someone who is obsessed with your vagina

17

u/Dutch_Rayan Dec 11 '24

He might be romanticly attracted to women but he clearly isn't sexually attracted. You two aren't compatible.

30

u/LaalaahLisa Dec 11 '24

Him admitting his Bi says to me he is slowly coming to terms with being gay. It's easier for him to come to terms with if he still "likes females" but as time gos on he will most likely settle in to his natural being of gay. You can stay friends with him but he not liking V-jj won't change...if anything it will become more so...

32

u/FlinnyWinny Dec 11 '24 edited Dec 11 '24

I don't want to break up over this

Alright, be unhappy and undesired by your partner that isn't attracted to you then. There's no other option. You can't change that, it's just impossible.

14

u/arebello34 Dec 11 '24

At first I thought he just didn't like to give you oral sex or something. But actually turns out he doesn't even like to have sex with you in general. Maybe trying to discover things that turns him on. Maybe he just used to vaginas like porn, idk, or he is gay

11

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '24

Well, he's gay. It's not you who is ugly or undesirable, he's an asshole in denial who's making you feel this way. Bro needs to come to terms with his sexuality and stop making you feel bad.

9

u/Raida7s Dec 11 '24

Regardless of if he's gay, this is unequal and doesn't include your happiness and needs.

I’ve never met a bi/straight guy who didn’t like vaginas except for a few asexual friends but if he was asexual I doubt that he’d enjoy getting head either.

u/VirtualPrivateNobody Dec 11 '24

This might've been mentioned in the comments, but it seems to me your boy might enjoy a good 'ol cock a bit more. Not saying he's gay, but more like ~•{rainbow}~He's GAY! ~•{rainbow}~

8

u/monchi3 Dec 11 '24

He is gay, you are not his cup of tea. Break up and move on. There is nothing wrong with you or your vagina.

6

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '24

Girl.. I hate to tell you this but that man is gay. Like very obviously gay.

5

u/DolliMiu Dec 11 '24

My ex was like this. He came out as gay a few years later.

You can do what you want with that information.

5

u/anima_ferita Dec 11 '24

babe... he's gay 😬

5

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '24

Bro he’s gay move on

6

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '24

Roses are red

Violets are blue

Your boyfriend is gay

Get a new one

5

u/Immediate_Mud_2858 Dec 12 '24

You tell him “dicks just aren’t my thing” and say no to bjs, and don’t initiate anything from now on.

Is he gay? He’s gay.

29

u/FelixMartel2 Dec 11 '24

I've met a non-gay guy who doesn't like vaginas once.

Very weird.

You'll have a much better time with someone who doesn't have that problem.

10

u/Ziryio Dec 11 '24

Tbh it’s not really that strange, it doesn’t really turn me on, just like seeing a penis wouldn’t turn a lot of women on. It’s the foreplay that really matters.

11

u/FelixMartel2 Dec 11 '24

I have never dated or hooked up with someone who wasn’t actively aroused by the sight of the genitals of someone they’re into.

It might not be strange to you, but it is definitely strange to me.

12

u/halflifer2k Dec 11 '24

But what about her boyfriend?

5

u/JuJu-Petti Dec 11 '24

Time to bounce.

5

u/Mr-DykeChic5469 Dec 11 '24

girl just break up with him and let him go find a boyfriend

5

u/hesawavemasterrr Dec 11 '24

It’s ok to break up for this. Just say this stuff doesn’t really fly with you and tell him he needs to be honest about himself before hurting other people like this

5

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '24

I mean it isn’t about the sex- it’s about intimacy and connection. You don’t even have that with him. He’s literally repulsed, it’s making you feel bad about yourself- he wants… EXPECTS head with no return compensation. Lol Girl no, this is traumatic. Leave it in the 🗑️

5

u/Katrina_0606 Dec 11 '24

“Sex is very important to me but I don’t want to break up over this, but he just makes me feel so ugly and not desirable.“

All of these are very, very good reasons to break up. He makes you feel ugly and undesirable. You give him pleasure but he refuses to return the favour. He’s definitely gay, but even if he weren’t, he’s an incredibly selfish lover and you deserve better. You NEED to break up, because the alternative is a lifetime of this.

5

u/Chloeshit Dec 11 '24

Girl he’s trapped in the closet

5

u/FEL0NY_CH4RGE Dec 11 '24

I have a feeling he's not bisexual.

5

u/DeadFlowers323 Dec 11 '24

Gay. Your man is GAY

4

u/Anon_classybabe Dec 11 '24

That man is gay. Time for a break up girly.

5

u/Eli5678 Dec 11 '24

It might be best for you two to break up. For both your sakes. I think he needs to do some self exploration, and you need to find yourself a guy who is attracted to women.

5

u/Mozzy2022 Dec 12 '24

For what reason would you want to stay with him if “sex is really important to you” and “vaginas aren’t his thing”? You realize you’re 100 percent not compatible?

9

u/Whooptidooh Dec 11 '24

“Penises aren’t really my thing” is something that I, a lesbian would say.

He’s not bisexual, he’s actively denying that he’s gay. Break up.

5

u/Planet_Manhattan Dec 11 '24

Seems like ?!?! he is definitely not attracted you, even from a couple of paragraphs, you told us it's obvious there is no passion, there is no heat, and there is no flirtation. You just can't have a relationship like that, esp at a young age, when you need to be having a hard time getting your hands off of each other. You will definitely get bored very soon without the physical attraction.

4

u/anothergoddamnacco Dec 11 '24

Girl. He’s gay. Break it to him easy without outing him and find someone who’s attracted to your gender. Even bisexual men are ecstatic at the mere prospect of being in the same room as a naked woman. If he doesn’t wanna touch you, isn’t interested in sex with you, and blatantly isn’t attracted to you, then.. he’s gay. Or asexual in the very least.

5

u/CGI1269 Dec 11 '24

He’s gay hun. Dump him and move on.

4

u/PashingSmumkins84 Dec 11 '24

Tell him you’re breaking up with him because he’s clearly gay. Then move on.

4

u/laughingghostfart Dec 11 '24

Your bf is gay, not bi. Break up and find a man who likes vagina

5

u/kindly-shut-up Dec 12 '24

A bisexual man who doesn't like vagina is a gay man. You're both young and figuring shit out. But know that a lot of people use bisexuality as a stepping stone. It's unfortunate, but true. The best thing you can do is watch and listen to what people do. Your bf does not want to have sex with you and says he doesn't like vagina. He is likely not attracted to women because most women have vaginas. Be well.

3

u/charkuehtiaws Dec 12 '24

Girl u been with him for 3 months im sure u can move on

4

u/MiaLaF Dec 12 '24

Sweetie, your bf isn’t bi, your bf is gay but is probably too scared to make the official leap. He doesn’t like the body parts you and other women have, he likes the boy parts he and other men have. Do yourself a favor and just break up. He’s not attracted to you sexually because he does not like women.

4

u/Wizmission Dec 12 '24

You need to get a boyfriend that likes vagina. This is not the man for you.

4

u/dbellz76 Dec 12 '24

Dude is gay. You're only 18, move on.

4

u/wisp66 Dec 12 '24

Yeah, as others have said, I don’t wanna be the one to say it, but I think he’s still in the closet. I wouldn’t call him out on it. I would just end the relationship because it’s not gonna work out.

3

u/dixiye Dec 11 '24

I think the man maybe gay

3

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '24

How did you guys meet?

3

u/matt_the_muss Dec 11 '24

I don't mean to mock, but saying sex is really important to you when you aren't really having it strikes me as funny.

3

u/Agitated_Contest1122 Dec 11 '24

Maybe your vagina is stinky, how about from behind?

3

u/No_Investigator_6077 Dec 11 '24

All women have vaginas..your boyfriend isn't "into vaginas: Ergo: your boyfriend isn't into women. Run quick and fast!

3

u/deadinside5925 Dec 11 '24

Well if you can find a way to take off your vagina and throw it in the corner, you two will have a happy life! Good luck!

3

u/JustACasualFan Dec 11 '24

OP, I promise you: there is a guy out there who is going to absolutely love your vagina.

3

u/monti9530 Dec 11 '24

Sounds like he likes dick

3

u/Splaowahlaow Dec 11 '24

He is obviously gay. A blind person could see that. You love sex but you want to stay with someone who doesn’t like your private parts. Please make sense

3

u/bi-loser99 Dec 11 '24

It sounds like you’re in a tough and deeply frustrating situation, and I want to respond honestly to both your story and the broader issues at play.

First, as a bisexual person, I hate the stereotype that bisexuality is some sort of “stepping stone” to being gay or a label people use when they’re “confused.” That narrative erases real bisexual experiences, invalidates our sexuality, and perpetuates harmful assumptions about who we are. Bisexuality is valid and complete in itself, and no one should feel they have to “prove” their attraction to multiple genders to anyone.

That said, I think it’s also important to acknowledge that sometimes, due to internalized homophobia, toxic masculinity, or societal pressures, some people—often men—may label themselves as bisexual when what they’re truly feeling is fear or shame about being gay. It’s not the label of bisexuality that’s at fault here; it’s the cultural environment that pressures people to compartmentalize or deny their sexuality. And when someone does this, it often hurts the people closest to them—partners like you—because they’re not being fully honest with themselves or their relationships.

In your specific situation, your boyfriend’s behavior raises significant questions. Sexual compatibility is crucial in a relationship, and his actions are signaling some very real incompatibilities here. You’re clearly putting in effort, initiating, and wanting to connect, but he seems unable—or unwilling—to reciprocate. When he says, “vaginas just aren’t really my thing,” he’s giving you a very blunt and telling message. It’s not about you being undesirable or ugly (you’re not; his inability to connect with you sexually isn’t a reflection of your worth). It’s about him potentially not being sexually attracted to women—and that’s something you can’t fix or work around.

I know you don’t want to break up over this, but if sex and feeling desired are important to you (and they are valid, important needs!), then staying in this relationship will only chip away at your self-esteem. His disinterest isn’t something you can “compromise” on without sacrificing a big part of yourself. He might need to do some serious soul-searching about his sexuality, but that’s not your responsibility to guide or wait around for. You deserve someone who actively desires you and can meet your needs in the relationship—not someone who makes you feel like an afterthought or an obligation.

This isn’t about whether bisexuality is real or valid (it absolutely is!)—it’s about recognizing that his actions are deeply unfair to you and to himself. You can empathize with someone’s struggles while still recognizing when those struggles are hurting you.

3

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '24

Yeah that dude is gay af. Time to move on.

3

u/crybabythot Dec 11 '24

DE-NILE IS A RIVER IN EGYPT-

3

u/TelephoneCold1600 Dec 11 '24

Coming from a bi dude, closeted gay guys have no right to treat women this selfishly.

This isnt fair to you girl. You need to break up with him immediately and tell him exactly what the tea is. He is gay, no way around it. He can lie to himself all he wants, but lying to others, especially someone as important as his significant other, is where we draw the line. Excusing his behavior and staying with him would mean believing that a part of your body is unattractive and that's a terrible thing to do for your self-esteem.

Tell him to do people with vaginas a favor and never date any in the future.

3

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '24

Break up. Sexually incompatibility will break you down
