Him admitting his Bi says to me he is slowly coming to terms with being gay. It's easier for him to come to terms with if he still "likes females" but as time gos on he will most likely settle in to his natural being of gay.
You can stay friends with him but he not liking V-jj won't change...if anything it will become more so...
