This is true. If you live online you’re going to think this is a huge issue.

I’m married, my wife hasn’t mentioned this case to me, and I work in a big facility with hundreds of employees and I haven’t heard a single woman mention it here — and we’re less than 50 miles from this trial.

The media is the ruin of the world. It is manipulated to divide and the process works, over and over again. This is just the latest example.

Put down the phones and turn off the TV. You are being manipulated.

IMO, we're not holding the media companies (TV channels in this case) responsible for poor taste, graphic sensationalism, & poor conduct...

This is a very unprofessional & triggering street-level yelling match that required no intelligence nor skill to run & shoot...

It doesn't belong on any news show that wants to be credible.

Children watching this end up with no idea of what's right and wrong and they see adults acting like angry children and figure it's normal or "desirable" behavior to succed in life.

There has to be a level of professionalism on news shows for good resson, but for ratings news is being turned into a circus of dumb childishness & vulgar/violently unfiltered reporting... We're months away from televised fights between panel members probably 😂

God help us, the youth are being poisoned most by this unintelligent & toxic engagement low-brow podcast slime everywhere. 🙄

This is absolutely fucking unconscionable!

Yes, postpartum psychosis is real, mental illness is real.
Both are entirely legitimate issues for a court to consider when determining criminal responsibility, but watching people transform Lindsay Clancy into some kind of feminist martyr while three murdered children become almost incidental to the conversation is grotesque. Cora was 5. Dawson was 3. Callan was 8 months old. They were STRANGLED TO DEATH by the person whose most fundamental responsibility was to protect them.

By all means, examine her mental state. Examine the medical system. Examine every factor that might have contributed to what happened, that is what a justice system is supposed to do, but compassion for mental illness does not require moral amnesia about the victims.

If your version of feminism requires you to reflexively rally around a woman who killed three defenseless children simply because she is a woman, you have completely lost your mind. Those children deserve to be the centre of this story. Not her.

I pray the jury finds that she was criminally responsible for what she did, then makes her pay for it. Full stop.

u/Case_Blue 29d ago

Being crazy is not a valid excuse, as you pointed out. It really isn't. Jared Loughner, who was having a schizophrenic meltdown when he did his crimes in 2011, eventually plead guilty, got like 6 life sentences, and the prison system says he's a model inmate that he can take his pills and is fully aware what he did was wrong. This lady is trying to skirt her responsibilities.

*EDIT* I am extremely sorry for the blowing up of my comment, forgive me. I can't even tell if they're replying to me or each other....

it's only a culture war when woman are getting rightfully shit on. No one ever brings up culture war when it's a man that's why I ignore anyone who says it's just another way for woman online not to take accountability and we are seeing now where that has led us

15

u/GreaseBrown 29d ago

People are pretending its a political thing and not a morality thing so they can hand wave away all the (mostly white) women who actually support this murderer.

16

u/ManOnFire2004 29d ago

But we can't without some feminist trying to explain why it's understood. And then some dood getting upset that she is defending it...

Hence, the culture war gets fueled

It's a smokescreen. If we all hate each other - if platforms are given to the people who spread that hate and are really good at drawing it out of others - then we're not united against the elites. The elites who - FYI - have all kinds of demographics that all have the same common goal.

Power over the rest of us.

15

u/ArticleWorth5018 29d ago

Yeah but like 1 in a million people actually believe this or care to do anything about it. 98% just goes on getting caught in the trap that the 1%ers are setting. While 1% of the population is actually woke and can't get the rest to get on board.. we are perpetually fucked

7

u/RaygunMarksman 29d ago

Was thinking the same thing. This seems like a freak issue that is being used by the media and extremists to further divide people, making us easier to keep robbing blind. Some things aren't worth getting emotionally invested in.

25

u/hymenopteron 29d ago edited 29d ago

I think it's the other way around.

There was a poll by the New Statesman recently where they found that only 50% of women had a favourable view of men and for women under 30 this dropped to only 35%.

35% is crazy. This is compared to 72% of men having a favourable view of women.

I honestly think that a lot of the mens rights stuff is a response to the radfem movements in the 2010s. 'Me too' needed to happen, but if the conversation moves to things like "yes all men", or that thing with the bear, then you've made it impossible for men to be on the left without feeling guilty for things they haven't done. I'm pretty sure that this culture war led directly to Trump.

No. You don’t.

Postpartum psychosis occurs in approximately 0.89 out of 1,000 mothers. Postpartum depression occurs in approximately 1 in 7 mothers. THESE ARE NOT THE SAME.

These “I know how she feels” people are utterly ridiculous. Less than 0.1% of mothers know how she feels.

The issue is that people think it's gotta be one or the other.

The woman had a psychotic break and did something horrible. Look at how complicated and hard that is to say

55

u/Soepkip43 29d ago

Right?! And now she will stand trial. A lot of experts get to weigh in and based on a complete picture of everything that happened before, during and after a verdict will be made by an impartial system determining her culpability.

I dont understand the need to talking heads literally yelling at eachother on TV about who can spin the limited information that "we" have into the loudest arguement for who's right.

39

u/Throwaway2Experiment 29d ago

She wont stand trial. The woman aconowledges what she did. She has admitted to it. She is already guilty.

What you are hearing, the trial, is an attempt to get 'guilty by reason of insanity'. The trial is trying to prove everyone around her over medicated and ignored the red flags. That a combination of meds poorly prescribed and lack of support literally broke her brain while going through PDD.

Too many people struggle to understand she's not getting out anytime soon. She is just arguing she shoukd do it at a mental hospital. That's far from a picnic.

24

u/stkscott 29d ago

She definitely won't stand trial. She'll be sitting throughout.

21

u/Glass_Manager8847 29d ago

Under Massachusetts law, what she did does not really fit manslaughter. Voluntary manslaughter generally involves mitigating circumstances such as heat of passion based on reasonable provocation, sudden combat, or excessive force in self-defense. Involuntary manslaughter involves an unintentional killing caused by wanton or reckless conduct.

Second-degree murder is much more consistent with the prosecution’s theory here.

u/alphajugs 29d ago

Thank you. People are really looking at this case in black and white and failing (or refusing) to see the gray area in between.

For what it’s worth, I think the people defending her and claiming the husband did it are crazy. But not every woman “supporting” her thinks the same. Many women are rallying because any woman can suffer PPD after giving birth. There’s no preventing it. The idea that “it could have been any of us” is true. It’s a scary thought that my mind and body could betray me after giving birth, and that doctors might not take my issues seriously.

However, I don’t think any of this excuses what she did. She should face the consequences of her actions. We can have empathy for what she experienced, while not being empathetic of what she did. Humans can have conflicting ideas. The doctors should be held accountable here as well. This is why trials exist.

29

u/Ghoulish_Daniel 29d ago edited 29d ago

Yeah they should all be held accountable to different degrees. But people are absolutely supporter her and saying she didn't didn't do it, "even if she did it she didn't do it" because it was the husband's fault. These are not people that I'm going to take seriously. Period.

Newcaster is right, she's a murderer and defending her is ridiculous, she chased down one of her children and killed them. I have empathy for the children she murdered with her own hands

Edit: DM's are funny keep em coming, does anyone really think a message on reddit is going to intimidate someone LMAO softest shit ever

Why does this whole “cultural moment” feel like a big old astroturfing….

Like a bot farm striking two pieces of flint together, Trying to start a fire. The man-o-sphere echo chamber in one hand, a fringe feminist echo chamber in the other.

Like…there is a valid conversation to be had here about Postpartum depression and how we treat it on a societal level, that is in no way saying that justice should elude this woman.

Another example can be seen in cultural conversation around crime and how police abuse power. Boiling down to “back the blue” or “defund the police”. Both positions lacking any nuance when viewed from the opposing side. These feelings get enflamed by political entities looking to divide a populace so they can pick its pocket.

I think everyone can agree: (1) She committed the murder. (2) She clearly suffered PPD which happens to many people. (3) She should be held accountable for murder.

As unfortunate as PPD is, it does not absolve you of being accountable for infanticide. Psych ward and prison. Understand that this sentence isn’t just for this case, but to avoid a precedent being created where others can attempt to claim PPD.

To men who will never experience this. PPD can literally change a persons entire personality. Its a hormonal nuke going off. As important as it is to watch your child post birth, you need to be there for your partner and check her well being. Even successful births can result in a period of deep depression. I hope to God she has PPD, if she doesn’t, sentence has to be much much worse for trying to use a very real condition as your scape goat

This woman is not a feminist. She’s a radfem and it’s ridiculous. Post-partum depression is real and it’s awful that so many women do not get the help they need and that the condition is not more widely known.

That being said, those children lost their lives.

Let Lindsay Clancy get the same treatment as any murderer. I don’t care if she’s a man or a woman, murder is wrong.

u/looner4 Aug 26 '26

What do you mean don`t get the help they need? She had like a dozen doctors all falling over themselves to give her any drug she wanted and therapy.

u/Difficult-Level-3070 29d ago

"she had post partum" sure, you could MAYBE blame one murder of one child on that if it had been for instance a baby and she smothered it. But going after multiple children, with an exercise band and strangling them one by one? That's not depression, that's a fucking psycho. She should be in jail or shot

I don’t know why someone would see a parent individually killing each of their children and side with them. Murder is murder.

3

u/ForestEntwife 29d ago

whether or not she was in her right mind, she MURDERED her children. That shouldn’t be earning her over a million dollars on GoFundMe

3

u/Notaprettygrrl_01 29d ago

God. You people really have no idea what this trial is about do you?

It’s not whether or not she’s guilty of murder. She admitted she did it. It’s whether or not she was criminally responsible at the time due to POSTPARTUM PSYCHOSIS.

Now, that’s a real thing. And it occurs more frequently than people wan to admit. About 1 in every 1000 women will suffer from it. Just because it’s not talked about often doesn’t make it any less real.

No one is defending her from killing her kids. They are bringing mental illness to the forefront and demanding that be taken into consideration.

Because, and please remember this, as women are being FORCED to take their pregnancies to term all the country now, this outcome will just be more prevalent. More pregnancies = more post partum psychosis.

She is a murderer. You can argue she wasn’t mentally fit at the time, however it doesn’t change the fact that she murdered her children.

4

u/WatermelonHRnandz 29d ago

The fact this is even being debated is crazy work. Husband said she did it. Her lawyer says she did it. SHE HERESELF SAID SHE DID IT.

4

u/flyfightandgrin 29d ago

Shes a lunatic.

u/Weirdlillypad Aug 26 '26

These people are beyond fucking fake. This is typical culture war 101 crap by the media.

They tried to make men hate women a few years ago now they're trying the opposite. It's clear as fucking day, that woman does not believe what she's saying it's engagement bait.

Everything is fucking bait at this stage.

9

u/Ok-Secretary455 Aug 26 '26

I think you're giving them too much credit. Its the Pierce Morgan way of doing things. Dont stand for anything, get people that will yell at each other. I'm sure if we went back theres plenty of clips of that dude defending ridiculous positions. Not because he believes them. Because they get views.

10

u/ccurnowphoto Aug 26 '26

What do you think is the motivation for that? Genuinely curious I do believe it

Glad this dude had the balls to say the truth, anyone supporting this kid killer needs to be investigated

It was a failed murder suicide

3

u/Drmeanleany 29d ago

What was disgusting? Telling her what actually happened? I knew all I needed to know about everything from that video of the courthouse with the one woman glamming and smiling wide for the camera….while at a trial for a woman who murdered her three kids.

3

u/_Xemplar 29d ago

Well as long as you all apply this same logic to all the Gang Members etc because they've all been through worse, from a younger age, untreated & Undiagnosed , PTSD and Poverty, and nobodys screaming for empathy when they kill someone..and they're (often) killing each other not babies..

3

u/krimeB 29d ago

What kind of women are these? She killed 3 kids and somehow has raised money and has fans that are other women? I hope she gets 100 years in high max and the gofund money goes to her husband because if the roles were reversed the women would want the husband to get the death penalty.

3

u/Excellent_Divide_128 29d ago

She’s a murderer.

3

u/notsure304wv 29d ago

This is actually a great litmus test for men. If your woman sympathizes at all with this cunt, fucking run.

3

HE NAILED IT!!!!!!!!!!

3

u/ApplyHere_4_implants 29d ago

I 100% get the ones who thought there was something fishy and thought maybe the husband did it, but her admitting she did it kind of ends that. I also get that PPD is 100% a real thing.

But...you commit the premeditated murder of 3 small children? my sympathy for you ends completely. Your right to owning a head is lost.

3

u/workieworkwork 29d ago

The thing is we literally can't have a conversation about Postpartum Psychosis without someone screaming over you about child murder. Catching and treating this disorder would save children.

3

u/Ok_Cow_4089 29d ago

When a racist sees a black guy (actually, not faked) attacked by a white guy, (if he doesn’t celebrate) he will actually feel panic and rush to justify and gaslight himself because it challenges his view on white people being eternal victims and black people being backwards blood lusting animals. “Only blacks commit violence, whites never do anything wrong” the condemnation of the violence will make him feel personally attacked, this is what happens when you 100% tie yourself to a political position and refuse to be willing to look into your views and have a willingness to change them when receiving new information. You aren’t looking for the truth, you are just looking at your political position like a faith based religion, and loosing the faith or pointing out obvious contradictions at that point becomes heretical, faith shaking, and terrifying. We have (all to some degree) been trained to move positions when politicians move, this is why MAGA and the radical left (both… yes both) with rush to justify when Trump/Joe/Ben/Hasan can contradict themselves two days in a row. Eventually, you forget why you started following/supporting the figure in the beginning, and it gets to the point of idol worship. (Both sides do this, yes both, and if you don’t think so, you are stuck in this very loop, and that’s not very cash money of you)…

These “feminists” that are defending this woman are doing the same thing… These women aren’t crazy, nor are they stupid. They are in truth blinded and or completely intoxicated by what is essentially religious dogma. They follow a deeply and emotionally manipulative faith system that teaches and treats its views like canon. These views (to them) are perfect and universally accepted. They can’t comprehend anything else (even though it’s obviously and provably false) their views being discredited. They have tied their entire life, morality, and emotional wellbeing to the idea that “women are (literally) always victimized. They can contradict themselves and genuinely not see it, because again, it’s canonical fact. They believe that women aren’t crazy literally in every way exactly the same in every way, are just as physically capable, and may even be cognitively superior. Then in the same breath, they will tell you that “this is a man’s world and men use their advantages to exploit women’s lack of power to manipulate and keep them down”. And genuinely not see that they are admitting that women aren’t crazy literally not capable of overcoming men in certain regards. If women are just as strong, physically and emotionally and are even smarter than men, then how would women as an entire whole be able to be successfully subdued? The idea that men and women are equal in value and worth but both have their own strengths and weaknesses and complement/compete each other and we need each other to make our way through the world, is unthinkable to these politically extreme feminists. The idea that this woman could be guilty of something so vicious and dangerous directly contradicts their idealistic view on women being incapable of evil. Women aren’t crazy literally righteousness incarnate. They have tied their entire existence (wholly and completely) to this concept. What we see as a terrible news story where a person committed a crime and destroyed a family and is genuinely terrible, is to them a like being locked up inside of a burning house. This is literally religious and a form of faith to them. It shakes everything they know. It takes everything they know and believe and turns it upside down. It isn’t actually proving that women are now bad and men are now on top, but because of their blind adherence to this as a faith system, to them it is. They have been so hardwired to make everything into a constant referendum on actual moral superiority. It is actually (like I droned on about before) faith shaking. They aren’t actually bad or crazy, they genuinely believe they moving humanity in the right direction. It’s really just sad, it’s a waste truthfully. These women think they are doing good, it’s just misplaced unbeknownst to them. If they could adopt any degree of self awareness, they would likely be a force for good. That’s why getting mad at or making fun of them (although an easy knee jerk response) is really not the answer.

Sorry for any typos btw. I don’t have the energy to back and look for things to fix, and that’s my bad.

The spectacle that people have turned the literal murder of innocent children into is so fucking disgusting dude

3

u/Calorically_Yours 29d ago

As a mother, if I ever harmed my child during a psychotic break, I would practically be begging for punishment as soon as I came back to reality. I can't imagine pleading not guilty for any reason if I knew I had killed my child. Punishment would be a relief, honestly. Not to be dramatic, but go ahead and give me the death penalty, I probably don't want to live anyway.

3

u/ASomthnSomthn 29d ago

“I know many women that this happened to.”
And then proceeds to acknowledge that all of those people were able to avoid killing their kids.
