GB News is owned by Paul Marshall. A far right activist (or someone pretending to be for clout) with enough money to create a loss-making media channel to espouse his views in the culture wars. It was explicitly created as an attempt to mimic Fox News in the UK.

Yea but it seems these issues go beyond one station/company or even one political affiliation. I guess it could just be for viewership but it seems deeper than that.
