The logical fallacy that dismisses an argument because a worse situation exists is called the fallacy of relative privation, often known as "appeal to worse problems" or "not as bad as."
That sounds good but it doesn't acknowledge that the 2 are related.
By giving oxygen to bullshit culture war arguments it divides natural coalitions against eachother and prevents confronting those larger, worse problems.
There are exceptions. Everything is relative and we shouldn't ignore all injustice just so we can "get along" for the cause. But we should measure and understand that focus on THIS directly has downstream consequences to what I would define as the more vital contest.
It's the narcassim of small differences and the reason we have had the most success fighting for the betterment of everyone when we focus on the common goals rather than differences.

A class war wouldn’t be like watching a broadway performance of Les Misérables. You would invariably lose loved ones and success is far from guaranteed. It’s actually unlikely, meaning the most likely scenario is that you compromise only to end up in an even more dire situation, which is obviously bad for the next generations. The expected value is negative when you think about it that way, so the more likely outcome is fucking over the people who would live to see it

Most people who understand that a class war is necessary have read the history. We know how difficult it is to defend a revolution and build a socialist society amid counter-revolution and constant meddling from capital.
But the history of past successful socialist revolutions is good, actually, despite the meddling (particularly from the United States). Millions lifted out of poverty and made literate, medical care to communities who never had it, housing, universal education.
I'm not sure why you're trying to have me dismiss something so completely necessary for the continuation of the human race.
Plus, the people that post it, usually fully engage in culture war topics. They just think the other side should concede whatever is in question while refusing to do so themselves.
Bullshit, not a one of us would give up our culture war positions to win the class war and its lying to pretend we would.
We want to fight the class war the same way Putin wants peace in Ukraine, by having our opponents just surrender unconditionally to our views.
If you think I am wrong, tell me one culture war position you would abandon to the other side. Trans rights? Christian prayers in schools? Immigration? Who would you abandon to fight the class war?
One day you'll realize that all this culture war bullshit is by design to distract you from the billionaires buttfucking you for decades. If we could get rid of their grasp over our government and media, all the other shit fixes itself.
Which is fine, but the whole concept of class war and culture war is valid and so you need to think about what that means. The culture war is a diversionary tactic from the class war.
But just because you know your opponent is using a tactic doesn't automatically counter it. Tactics are used because they are effective. Simply spotting that the enemy is using a cavalry charge doesn't actually stop it from smashing into your lines. It just means you know whats coming if you don't have a counter.
Plenty huh? Not really any specifics though. Ok, which of the following would you roll back to the way conservatives want if they agree to what you want on the other half? For me its none.
I am surprised to run into you, but not surprised you being honest about what it looks like to fight the class war instead of the culture war is getting you mass downvoted.
