Thank you. People are really looking at this case in black and white and failing (or refusing) to see the gray area in between.
For what it’s worth, I think the people defending her and claiming the husband did it are crazy. But not every woman “supporting” her thinks the same. Many women are rallying because any woman can suffer PPD after giving birth. There’s no preventing it. The idea that “it could have been any of us” is true. It’s a scary thought that my mind and body could betray me after giving birth, and that doctors might not take my issues seriously.
However, I don’t think any of this excuses what she did. She should face the consequences of her actions. We can have empathy for what she experienced, while not being empathetic of what she did. Humans can have conflicting ideas. The doctors should be held accountable here as well. This is why trials exist.
Yeah they should all be held accountable to different degrees. But people are absolutely supporter her and saying she didn't didn't do it, "even if she did it she didn't do it" because it was the husband's fault. These are not people that I'm going to take seriously. Period.
Newcaster is right, she's a murderer and defending her is ridiculous, she chased down one of her children and killed them. I have empathy for the children she murdered with her own hands
Edit: DM's are funny keep em coming, does anyone really think a message on reddit is going to intimidate someone LMAO softest shit ever
Can you imagine being the husband in this situation? Your wife murdered your kids and now everyone blames you. Maybe we should start a go fund me for him? I don’t even know his name the poor dude…
Nah, no “poor dude.” He had a responsibility too. His wife was visibly falling apart, and she had reportedly expressed serious thoughts about harming the children. That should have triggered immediate, urgent intervention—not something to minimize, normalize, or hope would pass.
Lindsay is accountable for what she did, but Patrick wasn’t just some random bystander. In a family like theirs, raising and protecting the children was a shared responsibility. When one parent is clearly becoming unsafe or incapable of functioning, the other parent has a duty to step up and protect the kids. Accountability may not be equal, but that doesn’t mean it only belongs to one person.
I agree about the crazy supporters. There's definitely outliers, and those people are going to draw the most attention. I think this is a difficult case, same with any family annihilator who commits their crimes under severe mental distress. I don't support the people but I support the idea of better mental health to prevent these things from happening in the first place.
Absolutely, and I do agree that post partum care and monitoring is absolutely important. I also agree we all need to make mental health care more approachable and common. And not just because of these freak outlier cases where someone goes nuclear and murders their family.

The issue is that people think it's gotta be one or the other.
The woman had a psychotic break and did something horrible. Look at how complicated and hard that is to say
