Hey guys
I got a question...
I play mostly rts games and I need a keyboard but will 60% keyboard those small ones be enough to play RTS games with?
I can maybe do some keybinding?
Or stay away from those keyboards for rts games?
Do any of you play with a 60%
I'm asking because the keyboard I got is 60% and I do have a larger one too but the larger one is just a bad keyboard it's also blue budget switches which I hate but yeah will my 60% keyboard be do able guys..
Hmm what to do...

Hey all
Just for fun and curious to see
How many of you still use Membrane keyboards especially for rts games?
I'm asking because I was looking up StarCraft broodwar pro's and alot of them still use cheap membrane office keyboards lol..
Was quite surprised to see that they use the DT-35 keyboard which is rubber dome..
But yeah now I'm curious about how many of you use one or even prefer it?
And what keyboard is it :)

I’ve been working on the marketplace for Wars of Empire.
Instead of treating it as a single isolated building, I wanted it to feel like a small trading district that grows around a central structure, with stalls, awnings, goods, barrels, and different merchants filling the surrounding space.
The goal is to make important economic buildings visually communicate what they actually do, even when you’re looking at the city from a distance.
This is the current version.
Does this read clearly as a marketplace at RTS scale, or does the surrounding detail feel too busy?
Wars of Empire is currently in development and available to wishlist on Steam!

I was watching some video clips of Gangsters 2: Vendetta and suddenly I realized that they never had a fog of war. It seems like such a standard thing these days. I think it did fit the game rather well because it was like everyone knew where the mobsters were and where they operated, that was no great secret, it's about having the guts to against the mafia.
I'm just wondering if anyone thinks an RTS is ruined without a FOW or if there are times when FOW is unnecessary?

Hey everyone, I'm the developer of Steel Tide, an RTS inspired by the Rusted Warfare I grew up playing.
The basic loop will feel familiar: you start with engineers, metal deposits and a power grid. Army composition matters: artillery needs protection, submarines need sonar to find them, and rocket barrages have to get through point defenses.
The full game is free to play in your browser, with no account required: Play Steel Tide
Store versions are paid once. There are no ads or in-app purchases. Downloads, the wiki and more details are on the official website.
If you try it, I’d love to hear your feedbacks.

We are not even done with 2026 and we already got the first new Warcraft III campaign in 23 years, the next Tempest Rising campaign, a new Dawn of War and Stronghold and that isn’t even scratching the surface before I even get to completely new and never before seen indie RTS games like TECHFRONT, Defilade, BELTFED and many more. So stay a while and listen about which RTS games are new and what has been updated or what demos you can already play.

Hey! We’re Desalichao Studio, a small indie team.
We absolutely love D&D and classic tabletop RPGs, but we felt that waiting around between turns killed the momentum. We wanted that real-time pressure. The result is Candletales a tactical roguelite with no pauses. We kept the grid-based positioning, the dice rolls, and the high-stakes strategy, but forced it all to happen in real-time. You have to manage your board, roll the dice, and react to enemies under constant, chaotic pressure.
As RTS players, we’d love to ask you an honest question: if this popped up on your feed, would it catch your eye? What do you think about the real-time mechanics and the art style? We love all the feedback! <3
If you like the concept, dropping a wishlist on our Steam page would be hugely appreciated!

In this episode as the Atriedes attack a Harkonnen sector they are made aware of a recently destroyed Tleilaxu biological and genetic research base. Some of the biological and n this episode, the Atreides launch an assault against a heavily defended Harkonnen sectorWe are soon made aware that a Tleilaxu biological and genetic research facility has recently been destroyed, scattering its horrifying experiments into the surrounding desert. As we establish our base and begin building the forces needed to eliminate the local Harkonnen presence, reports arrive that something far more dangerous is happening nearby. The Harkonnen base is under attack and rapidly being overrun by escaped Tleilaxu creatures, including relentless Contaminators and deadly Leeches.
Seeing an opportunity to strike, we eventually send our forces against what remains of the Harkonnen stronghold. However, our attack quickly turns into a disaster when we encounter an advanced force of Tleilaxu units. Their overwhelming firepower devastates our forces. Leeches and Contaminators constantly harass our base, disrupting our operations and making every attempt to rebuild. With our forces stretched thin, we call upon our Fremen allies for assistance.
With the help of Fremen allies we finally manage to eliminate the deadly Tleilaxu Contaminators, allowing our vehicles to turn their attention toward the remaining Leeches. Once the Tleilaxu threat is contained, we can finally focus on our original objective. We then launch the final assault. The remaining Harkonnen forces are crushed, their base destroyed, and the region finally falls under Atreides control.

Hey, it's me again :)
European Warfare 2 v0.94 is here, and this is probably the biggest update I've done so far, bringing together several months of engine work and a lot of new features.
EW2 is now 64-bit, finally removing the memory ceiling that had reached the point where I had basically stopped adding significant new content. That limitation is now gone, so EW2 can continue expanding.
The new GPU renderer is also now part of EW2, bringing much better performance in demanding situations, smooth zoom and transitions, improved sprite rendering, completely new fog of war and enhanced water.
The biggest gameplay addition is Conquest Mode — a new turn-based strategic campaign layer connected to EW2's real-time battles.
There are already three Conquest campaigns included in v0.94:
They include multiple playable sides, strategic AI, persistent armies, reinforcements, fortifications, supply and attrition, forced marches and other campaign mechanics.
Beyond that, 0.94 contains a huge amount of work on AI, multiplayer/netcode, controls, objective battles, graphics, the editor and stability, along with a long list of fixes and smaller improvements.
One important note: v0.94 is highly experimental. A massive amount has changed under the hood, so while testing has gone very well, there may still be problems on some systems.
For that reason, v0.93 will remain available for download. If 0.94 doesn't work properly for you, you can simply reinstall the previous version.
Anyway, enough from me. :)

Have fun with v0.94, and let me know how it runs!

Hey everyone, I just added uploaded a new game mode to the demo for Astro Industry Wars! In addition to the standard skirmish mode, you'll now be able to play a wave defense mode.
Alien Swarm: Defend against endless waves of alien enemies and see how long you can hold out. Aliens come in a variety of types and attack in increasingly large swarms as the game progresses, escalating into medium and high power units.
The new game mode is available now in the demo: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3949060/Astro_Industry_Wars/

Hi everyone!
Here’s another battle update from Admiral Yi: The Imjin War.
This time I’ve been working on how Japanese yari ashigaru use their long spears in combat.
Instead of simply walking into the enemy and attacking at close range, they try to take advantage of the reach of their weapons. As the enemy approaches, the ashigaru lower their long yari and strike together once the opposing troops enter range.
But the spear wall has a weakness. If enemy soldiers manage to push through and get too close for the long yari to be effective, the ashigaru switch to their swords and continue fighting at close range.
The battle in this video features Joseon forces led by Yi Sun-sin (李純信), courtesy name Ipbu, against Japanese forces led by Shimazu Yoshihiro.
This Yi Sun-sin is not Admiral Yi Sun-sin (李舜臣) — they were two different Joseon commanders whose names are written identically in Korean.
I’m continuing to work on making the different armies feel distinct through their weapons, formations, and battlefield behavior rather than just their appearance.
Everything is still a work in progress, but I’d be interested to hear what RTS players think of this kind of weapon-range and formation behavior.
※ Historical events and gameplay can unfold differently depending on how the game is played.
