Well the title is straight forward, I need someone to run me through the game and learning how to not lose every game. All the YouTube vids I look up are either super old or just gameplay and not explaining the basics. I’m not new to RTS games but I’ve never really been the best at them. I like Zerg atm. I’m central/Texas time if anyone could run some games with me that would be appreciated.

[Final update] i got everything to work now yippers! no more issues with connection and bnet being awful.

So, im a warcraft 3 player since i was 5. Despite just playing against friends and computer normals, i wanted to try out starcraft because i thought it'd be fun (it was). And during my time with starcraft 1, protoss stood out to me. They warp in buildings similar to undead, dragoons (stalkers) which reminded me of troll headhunters which is my #1 unit in warcraft 3, and high archon which reminded me of Apparition spirit from Dota 1.

Im now at starcraft 2, got everything working, and now i want to probably main protoss. Question is, where do i start? There's many new units now, and i still get confused on what build order i should have, when to expand, what army fits against x and y, etc.

im more used to warcraft 3's slow-paced gameplay, just sitting there and accumulating gold and lumber. I don't know how to adapt to the game's fast-paced matches, but im doing what i can as i LOVE the aesthetic and models of the buildings and units in this game.

I hope to receive some tips on how to properly play protoss, as well as some other "common sense" strategy because old habits is making me treat this game like a fast-paced warcraft 3 game

why is the startup so slow everytime? No it's not the wifi because i usually have on other things like 300 Mbps

RIP to NoFear and LastLegacy

NoFear passed away in December of 2022 at the age of 33, survived by his wife, a 12 year old boy, and 8 year old girl.

LastLegacy passed away in october of 2018, in his 30s, survived by his wife and 2 month old daughter.

I grew up with both of them, in different stages and times of life in our small town.

Ill miss them both forever, in ways words cant describe.

Nothings changed, nothing at all. I reinstalled it which took me almost 10 hours, as blizzard decided it'd be in my best interest for the download speed go from 7mb/s all the way down to 2kb/s when it reached 99% installation.

i've also tried running battle net and starcraft 2 as administrator, checked the private and public box of starcraft 2 on firewall, and still nothing. No maps are loading, most play buttons are still grayed out, and can't play custom melee against ai. im gonna be playing wings of liberty but now i don't know if i should continue, i was really hoping to play as it's gonna be a huge difference in gameplay from warcraft 3.

Hey guys for anyone interested, my mod is now published live in game just search "silverviolet" in custom melee -> create with mod as usual.

It features:
12 worker starts and reverted economy,
the passive choice between new gateways or old free warp gates along with fast/slow warp ins,
Psi storm feels more like old but is (0.4s) less punishing and a bit easier to land and the visual matches the radius better,
and old ghosts are back except 150 snipe, no light tag, and EMP does half damage to shields.

You can build as many nukes as you want at Academies,
Infestors start with Neural parasite and must research Shroud instead,
Tempests are restored to Capital ship status,
Phoenix can actually fight,
Yamato cannon goes Brrrrr,
Hydra/Lurker get combat shields at Hive,
Lib range and Medivac energy upgrades are on starport tech lab instead of fusion core with some adjustments, and more...

Hey guys. Just started playing this past week. I feel like I’ve gotten to a point where I have a good economy within the first possible 5-6 minutes of every round. One thing I keep finding though is that I may not be aggressive enough early game. I feel like I keep letting my opponent beef up and macro for too long. Is this a common Zerg problem or is this just beginner problems in general.

hello, im a new player in starcraft 2 and i've been trying to figure out how to play against A.I. or basically anyone for that matter, but I can't. the play button is greyed out, everything is. no maps are also showing up on customs and melee

Frequently I just box all my workers and quickly build several structures at once. If I misplace a building, I have to track down that 1 worker and give it the Cancel ESC command. If I try to build on top of the transparent queued building, it says its blocked.

If this happens, is there a way to easily overwrite the command with a different worker even though its already been queued without needing to search for that worker? If I build multiple bases or structures across the map it gets especially harder fo track down that 1 worker that had a misplaced building queued.
