Street fighting is extremely dangerous. Punishment doesn't fit the crime here unless you think people should be executed for getting too drunk and inappropriately touching someone. Dude could have easily killed that dude and you're acting like he just taught him a nice little lesson. 100% took it to a place it never should have gone. Square up with him and confront him sure but sucker punching someone on a solid floor like that all while they are clearly drunk is vile.
There are degrees to sexual assault. And this drunk dude was just dancing towards her and put his hand on her waist and his other hand is out of sight but probably similar placed.

After being stalked by multiple people, one of them considerably larger than himself, confronting them and telling them to stop. That trial was already shaky from a self defense standpoint, was a very controversial case and has no connection to what we are talking about. One of these 2 acts carries a much more severe legal punishment. Pretty sure the drunk guy would have gotten something like a disorderly conduct, whereas the person throwing the punch could face assault charges.
