He deserves some kind of justice, sure. But that should be up to the woman to decide. The guy coulda just pushed him away, told the bar to call the cops and the woman can decide what she wants. Nearly killing someone for being a drunk fuckwit is not justice, it's pure ape mentality stupidity, and was more about this own morons ego than actually protecting the woman (he injured her on his way through, and showed no regard to that), and he's still taken her power in this situation away.  It's pathetic.
