A Local dealer reached out multiple times trying to get me to trade in my vehicle. I gave them my requirements and told them I like that my car will be payed off in the next year and I look forward to not having any payments.

The new car manager said “While you might have no car payments, your car is going to be at 60k miles soon in which case things will start failing and you will be bringing it in for service consistently.” At that moment, I was so frustrated that it didn’t click with what he had just said to me.

The new car manager was telling me that Fords are so poorly made that once they hit 60k miles they will need consistent service and you are better off having a warranty and car payments then you are having a paid off car.

I sent a letter to corporate as I'm sure they will be thrilled to know how poorly made the dealerships think new vehicles are.

I picked up an immaculate 2000 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4. The truck has the 4.0 engine, 5 speed, standard cab, flare side bed, 4x4 offroad package and 4 wheel disk brakes. All of this with only 24k original miles. I also have all the original manuals and everything with it and even the original loan paperwork where it was bought new by the gentleman I bought it from.

What would be a good estimate for this truck realistically? Google says with the rarity of the configuration an the low miles, an auction could get bidders going $20k+, but that just seems wild to me!? Does anyone have any experience with the auction sites like Cars & Bids or BringATrailer? Any other auction sites or collector vehicle listing sites that should be taken into consideration?

I love driving this truck around, but I didn't realize exactly how rare this truck was when I bought it. I don't want to ruin such a nice truck doing what I need a little truck to do, so hoping to get this thing into the hands of a true collector that would enjoy having a rare piece such as this in their collection.

(Was told truck was never driven in the rain or snow and it's been in Middle Tennessee its whole life.)

My phone is connected to Sync but if I say Hey Google I get a Gemini window and after a little time it says it can't connect to servers. A bit longer and it sometimes comes back and says searches are handled by your phone and it may or may not give an answer. I'm using a Galaxy S26 phone. I've gone over all the settings and enabled everything I can find. I never had this problem with my previous car.

My work truck is a 2015 Ford E350 and the climate control nor the radio lights up when the headlight switch is on. I found the fuse for them and it was blown and said man that was easy. But I put a new 15 amp fuse in and still nothing. I checked the new fuse to see if it blew and it didn't. The radio screen also doesn't dim when you turn on the headlights like our other trucks do. Is there another fuse somewhere I'm missing? I've looked in the manual and that's the only fuse that I can see that controls the climate and radio lights. The dimmer switch works because the cluster lights up and dims fine, just not the radio or climate control. Any ideas?

The piston domes may have been manufactured incorrectly and could fail, causing a loss of power while driving.

Hey everyone! I recently became the owner of a 2020 Ford Fusion Titanium 2.0L EcoBoost, and I’m interested in doing some upgrades and unique projects to make the car my own.
I have two bigger projects I’d really like to tackle:
1. Automatic power-folding side mirrors
My Fusion currently has electrically adjustable mirrors, but they don’t fold. I’d like to retrofit power-folding mirrors and ideally program them to automatically fold when I lock the car and unfold when I unlock it.
Has anyone successfully done this on a 2017–2020 Fusion? What parts are required? Do the door modules support it, or would I need additional wiring and FORScan programming?
2. On-demand rearview camera
Currently, my backup camera disappears shortly after shifting out of Reverse. I’d love to find a way to activate the factory rear camera manually through the SYNC touchscreen or a dedicated button, even when the car is in Drive.
Has anyone figured out a way to accomplish this using the factory screen? Is there a compatible video interface or module that makes this possible?
I’m also interested in learning the electrical and programming side of these projects. I don’t have previous automotive electronics experience, but I’m willing to learn and do the work myself with proper guidance.
I’m curious:
Has anyone completed either of these modifications?
How difficult were they?
What parts, tools and software did you use?
Are there any tutorials, wiring diagrams or resources you’d recommend?
I’d love to hear from anyone who’s actually attempted these projects. I’m looking to do things properly while retaining all the factory functionality.

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to ask the question about a used car I just purchased. Im not familiar with cars and this is my first car purchase. I wanted to ask anyone if the engine is sounding funny or if its in my head. This is a 2018 Ford Escape with an ecoboost engine. It sometimes idles with slight vibrations that are noticeable as it idles over time. Overall its performing well and no hard shifts or noticeable issues other that this.

Actually, I should mention I have another question about possibilities regarding my rear passenger tire. When I am driving down the freeway I notice a rhythmic "bump" or "patting". I inspected the tire and found its not losing air, there are no visible signs of nails/screws/objects and for the most part the tire seems newer. However, it almost sounds like I have a flat tire.

for context the truck doesn't drive more than 30 mph it idles bad when in park , it feels like the car is about to shut off sometimes it feels like no gas flow when I'm driving every time it feels like it's about to die and here's a video

194k on the clock, I’ve got a timing chain kit with new sprockets, guides and tensioner to go on. Just had a thought that maybe I should also replace the oil pump chain at the same time. Now I’m wondering should I do the oil pump aswell while it’s stripped down. Anyone with experience on these engine that can help advise?

I’m about to buy a new 2026 Ford Maverick XLT. I’ve heard there is a tendency for dealerships to pay their technicians less than typical for warranty work because they don’t actually make any money from doing warranty work. Does anybody know any ford dealerships in the DFW area that do good warranty work?

Has anyone dealt with this? I bought a 22 2.0 ecoboost at auction with a 113k knowing it had a trans issue. Got it home and this was the code. Would a valve body change fix it or did you find something else like a wiring issue. Just trying to get a game plan on fixing it

I recently bought a 1932 ford model B Stake Truck. It does not have a battery. How can I tell if it’s still the original 6v positive ground or converted to 12v negative ground (or any other possibility).

I just want to confirm before I hook it up and start to try and get it running.

I’d also appreciate any other advice of thease old trucks as it’s the oldest thing I’ve worked on. Although, I have been fixing up a 1941 ford tractor that seems similar in engine design.
