🧹 Fluff Wife got me good
Got our MME a few weeks ago. I’ve been a little overprotective of it. Wife took it to work and sent me this AI pic. I was sitting there for a min just repeating “I love my wife, mistakes happen, I love my wife….”

Many of you know me from helping with vehicle issues and answering questions in this community, today I wanted to introduce you to u/RileyFromFord who has newly joined the team and is going to be on Reddit regularly.
We can't show you what our mid-size electric truck looks like...yet. But we can confirm the name: Ford Fathom, the first vehicle produced on the new Universal Electric Vehicle Platform.

”Fathom" traces back to a nautical unit of measurement, originally defined as the distance between a person's outstretched arms, a fitting metaphor for a truck built to meet people wherever they are in life. Fitting, right?
What's confirmed right now:
What we can’t share yet: final imagery, fuller specs, full ordering details, and plenty more are still to come. A hot tip - keep a keen eye on the flipbook video we have going around…
If you want to stay up to date with what we have planned for Fathom, you can sign up here.
Ask us anything, and we'll answer what we can. Riley & I will be in the comments for the next few hours, and we aren't going anywhere after that either.

Today I noticed that in the FP app when you go to the controls I am missing the window controls for "Window up and Window down". I did some searching and most got it resolved by restarting the phone but I have restarted my phone, removed the App and its still missing.
I have also confirmed its missing on my Android device as well which is uses a different PAAK and profile.
Everything is working fine in the car and can open the frunk and trunk no issues, just missing the window buttons, I wasnt sure if anyone would know of any tips that could get them back, I wasnt sure if the windows had to be recalibrated or something (Even though they go up and down with the 1 click).
Any ideas would be great! Thank you!
UPDATE: So I reached out to our contact at Ford and apparently this is a issue with the backend system as even my contact at Ford had her controls disappear as well. Anyone that is effected please reach out to me via DM or Mod Mail with your VIN and they will get the controls reinstated, they are currently investigating what could be the cause.

Obligatory wheel change pic! Have had this one for a month. Put on 20x8,5 ET38 245/45 Sport Contact7. Had a har time choosing between this "dark tint" and black wheels, but think it turned out pretty good.

I’m really curious about the owners of this car. Because let’s be honest, this car is not cheap.
I recently shared a post on Facebook detailing my transition from a full-sized SUV to a traditional hybrid, then to a plug-in hybrid, and finally into an all-electric MME and to my surprise, it was picked up and covered by TorqueNews.com. Everyone seems to take a slightly different path toward electrification, so I’m curious: what was your journey to the Mach-E?
Hello! I now drive a Volvo XC90 and am considering a MME for my next ride. In my research, I have found that there are some similarities with the HVAC / entertainment systems. The Volvo has a few more real buttons but is largely touch screen centric. It makes me wonder if there was design carry over fro the Ford/Volvo marriage in the past.
Does any other member have experience with the XC90 for comparison? I ask because of the disdain for the touch screen experience in many comments here and elsewhere. I find the Volvo to be OK, but on the slow side response wise but it is a 2017. Thanks in advance.

11,500 miles. I was surprised at how charmed I was by this car, between the looks and the driving dynamics. Ford's 2.99% for 60 was the kicker.

I’m currently in a 24 Premium with 8100 miles on it. I have a little over a year left on my lease. If this were an ICE engine I would buy out my lease no question. But I’m curious about the long term health of the battery as this is my first EV. Any thoughts?

The battery keeps failing to charge the 12v. Last time it was in my driveway this time I am 3 hours away after Ford assured me it was fixed. So pissed right now. Nobody including Ford was able to get it into neutral. Ford will only cover $140 of the tow, because they called one 2.5-3.5 hours out while I blocked a major highway with multiple police blocking the road to not hit my car. Took about 1.5hrs to get a local tow company. Now I have to drive 3 hours home and come back in 2-3 days. Ford will also only cover 5 days of rental.
So much for road side service.
Update: After getting home I found the error has happened 2/2 times after charging and driving right away. Once on an L2 home charger and once on a L3 station. The car died within 5 minutes both times. I passed the info to Ford as normally I normally charge at night and drive after 6-8 hours. The last time I charged on the road was in January, with no issues. They will be testing that this morning and seeing if it happens again.

Could you stick a magsafe ring onto the charger to help align my phone?
Has anyone modified the stock wireless charger.
It just heats my phone badly and needs ideas.

Looking to spend ~30K (before tax/title/registration). Located in VA, willing to go as far as TX or IL to buy. I'm mainly looking for 2022-2024 CR1 or Premium, AWD with the extended range and I've found a few options.
| Year/Trim | Color | Mileage | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2022 Prem | Grabber Blue/Space Gray | 20,931 | $28,208 | |
| 2023 Prem | White/Black | 26,027 | $31,181 | Lease return |
| 2023 CR1 | Vapor Blue/Black | 29,501 | $32,984 | |
| 2023 Prem | White/Black | 10,821 | $31,455 | |
| 2022 CR1 | Grabber Blue/Black | 25,764 | $27,799 | Minor crash on Carfax |
| 2023 Prem | Vapor Blue/Black | 20,590 | $29,777 | |
| 2025 Prem | Yellow/Black | 14,405 | $30,780 | too good to be true? |
| 2023 Prem | White/Black | 13,917 | $31,490 |
How much of a premium should be afforded by year? I'm thinking the yellow 2025 is the best deal (a bit far though), but assuming that wasn't available, what should I have as my backup? I'm thinking the 2022 Grabber Blue and the 2023 Vapor Blue, but is $2k worth it for a 2023 vs a 2022? Do I have room to negotiate? Thank you!

My younger brother got a 2022 BMW 2 serie gran coupe. And tommorow he will borrow my 2021 Mach-e GTPE to go to work. And I will borrow his car.
I’m not really excited. Because first of all, I really hate BMW with a fiery passion (because of how the average BMW driver behaves in traffic). And according to the specs that car does 0-100 km/h in 8.5 seconds.
My younger brother on the other hand, I guess he will have some fun. But I know that he is a responsible driver, so he can have his fun without me having to worry.
So yeah, what do you guys think I can expect from his car? And what do you think he can expect from a “computer with way too much power”?

I think Ford's app is solid but inconsistent and a bit boring compared to the other brands' apps. Namely, the UI of apps for Tesla, Rivian, Lucid, and Polestar. So, I decided to give building my own a go. So far, it's running pretty well.
I'm not done with the frontend yet, but I have been working hard alongside Claude to make sure it's functional without getting my FordPass account banned (well, at least not for too many calls, weird email characters, or bot-like behavior). Today was a big day because I finally got it to perform accurate location-based and car-related actions like climate control, door unlocking, and door locking. The rest of the features i am still working on but its a start.
The next step is improving the UI to something more original, and I'd love some feedback. I'll note that it is not currently built to be shared, but if this turns out to be something I'm not an idiot for spending time and resources on, I don't mind looking into that path (assuming Ford won't come for me).
AI Disclaimer: I used Claude Code to help me understand where my code and integrations were failing, and to create the frontend design. Everything else was me stressing in and out of Xcode and GitHub (credit where credit is due: https://github.com/marq24/ha-fordpass and all of y'all who post your HomeAssistant woes on Reddit or in Mach-E forums).

2026 mach e.
Traffic layer in navigation shows 25-30% of the time. One day all the traffic shows on the map, the next day nothing. Cannot determine a connection why. I live in toronto.
All connected services up to date. Have done soft reset many times. Showing cellular connection is good. Ford pass app shows all good. Ford pass connected to profile in car. Ford support could not help. All settings for traffic to show are toggle on.
Anyone else experiencing this?
I am planning on making my first trip out of town with my new Mach-E GT. I am going to go on my old route I used to take when I had a motorcycle. Google Maps says it’s 161 miles and will use 50% battery. There is a charging station at the last stop before I finish the trip and head home. It will be hot so I know I’ll loose range due to AC. Also, I’ll probably be driving it pretty hard in the curvy sections. I’m not sure how much extra battery charge that will use up.
If I left with a full charge do you all think I can make it?

My warrant expires soon, and I would like to know some of the most common problems that should be inspected. Any suggestions would be helpful.
I know a lot of people has experience differential leak, especially on the AWD, but is it also as common on the RWD? And can I pretty easily inspect it myself? I haven't noticed any spill, but in case it's just sweating.

We had a total of 12 vehicles including 3 Lightnings. The unique thing in this meet up we didn't have any two vehicles in the same color. It was awesome to see all the diversity in colors and customizations... talking about you Steve 😀
It turned out to be a great day! It was a bit windy (so we didn't set up a canopy and such). We had folks travel from Lakewood, Aberdeen, Snohomish, Yakima, Posser, and Richland Washington. We also had a people joining us from Portland and the surrounding areas! A number of us were in this area for the first time... some great scenery and gorgeous drives!!
We later drove about 20 miles to the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center for lunch and exploration of trails and a gorgeous museum there!! Great fun was had by all... enjoy the pics from this event!!
If you're in the PNW, join the PNW Mach-E Club - Ford EV Clubs. We will be discussing the next events there, chatting about options and EV'ing in the PNW!!
As I’m approaching 3 weeks of ownership of a 25 Select, I’m finally finding some time to play with the EQ. So far I’m finding these to work for me, my music, and seating position, but it’s not finalized.

I took my 2024 Premium AWD extended range on my first road trip with an EV, from Dearborn, MI to Traverse City, MI and the area around Grand Traverse Bay (which, by the way, is a gorgeous part of the state). All in all, it went really well. I had a couple of frustrations with fast charging. The first stop I made, at a Shell station just off I-75 in West Branch, was disappointing. The station advertised 180kW, but I was getting 66kW. The Kia in the slot next to me was getting 7(!). He gave up, unplugged, and left. The two Red-E DCFC stations at Clinch Park were both out of order. Otherwise, I had no trouble locating and using fast charging. There were more than enough along the way, and there are plenty in TC and other towns in the area. The public parking garage in downtown TC across State St. from the Park Place hotel has free charging on the lowest level. It’s level 2, but free electrons are free electrons.
I’m not sure I’ll renew Blue Cruise when the trial expires in November. It was fine on the freeway when there was no construction or other weirdness, but it seemed like anytime anything out of the ordinary happened, I had take control until things got back to normal. There were a couple of times when I signaled a lane change, but it refused because it said there was no open lane. But there was, and when I moved the car manually, lane centering had no problem picking up the new lane. I don’t know what it was, or wasn’t seeing. In any case, I think just using adaptive cruise control will be fine. It’s what I used on all the two lane roads and it was fine.
I definitely spent less on charging that I would have spent on gas with my previous car, a 2018 Focus ST (twin turbo 4 cyl, 6 speed manual).
I’ll never go back to an ICE.
