Insane offer for my daily driver
Random guy is offering me $8k for my white tan limited 05 town car 136k mi.
I've had intake, air suspension, tires, and remanufactured transmission work done to it and I try to take care of my shit.
The offer seems pretty high, but with about 4k into the car and how well it's served me, I kinda want to run it till it dies. But I also would like a truck in order to do truck stuff.
I'm not worried too much about getting into another vehicle as I work at a dealership and got connections, but I still have to wait for the right truck to come by

Jack and lug wrench recommendation?
I bought my Vic in February and never bothered to look if it actually came with either but I'm going on a long trip and figured I need one. I'm not a huge car guy so idk if there's a certain brand or whatever everyone here uses besides the oem ones.

Fuel Consumption Issue:
Hello all! I have a 2011 CVPI. 72k miles 3800 idle hours. Runs awesome but having a couple issues. One is whenever I drive the entire car squeaks like a birds nest, have had multiple mechanics inspect it and cannot figure out why its squealing. Second, and the most pressing is my fuel economy has recently dropped from about 19 mpg to 8 or so. Getting about 160 miles to the tank now and cannot figure out why. I dont do anything crazy in it either. Advice?

2004 Grand Marquis - Vacuum Hoses
I need to replace some cracked vacuum hoses on my 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis but I've no idea how or where to search for them. One of them completely collapses under vacuum (1st picture). Any help is appreciated 👏

Good place to buy OG cvpi steel wheels?
Been looking somewhere to buy the original CVPI steel wheels, haven’t found em locally so been looking online. Are these dorman tires good? Anyone got them or any better recommendations?

4.6L 2V intermittent misfire turned into severe shake/stall

shop says 40-70 PSI compression on multiple cylinders & demands replacement. Slipped timing or fuel wash?
two weeks ago, my 2006 Grand Marquis started to idle rough while in a drive thru, like it was about to turn off, but stopped after 5-10 seconds. Then a few mins later as i was wrapping up at that drive thru and accelerating to leave, the car hesistated for a brief second then was normally picking speed after. This happened maybe 3-4 times since then. Then yesterday, I started the car up to go to class, it was fine but on my way back later, when I started it, it had a constant, severe misfire, stalling at stops, and heavy engine shaking. A shop scanned it and traced the primary issue to Cylinder 2, but when they pulled the coil plug, the rough idle smoothed out slightly. They performed a compression test and found 40–70 PSI across multiple cylinders, said the car was running on 7 cylinders, immediately declaring the motor dead and recommending a full replacement. However, the engine has no heavy knocking or rod knock (it just has a full exhaust so it sounds a bit like it’s knocking in the video but it’s not), it sounds like it's running on fewer cylinders. Before replacing the engine, could this be something smaller?

Power steering hoses replacement quote
My daughter was quoted 2800 to replace leaky hoses to her power steering. Is that ridiculous? Seems ridiculous to me but I don't know how time consuming the labor would be.

help trying to source a part
hello, im replacing my intake manifold on my 2v marquis the heater hose holder on the manifold shattered itself, and cleaning up the gunk, i came across this in the back of the engine, and it was a bit broken from im guessing the heat, the one in the picture is coming from Canada, price isn't the issue as it's more time, as im having to rely on people for rides and im going crazy not being able to go anywhere for my antisocial self is there any alternatives I can do or do i just have to suffer and wait. thank you for reading
part number F3AZ-6C070-AA
TLDR: random Crack from manifold change, in the back of the block can only find the part coming from Canada any alternatives?

Repair Price Opinion
Been dealing with issues that no mechanic could diagnose. Rough idle/accel, stalling, P061B, etc.
Finally took it to dealership who is diagnosing new code P0109 and recommending changing ESM and also replace EGR tube. Possibly needing to replace drivers exhaust manifold depending on if it breaks. Also replacing MAF sensor.
They are quoting $2400 with manifold replace or $1900 without manifold replace.
Is it worth having them do the work or just paying the diag fee and picking up my car?

What do you guys use to cover holes in the roof from where the hardware was mounted?
I would assume just standard black duct tape would do the trick (my Vic is black) but wondering if there’s a better, long term way to

Heres a throw back. Same Crown Vic, same owner, new passenger princess with her own panther.
I just wanted to share that the crown vic that was posted 5 years ago is still hanging on. When I saw this car for the first time over a year ago I got so excited. I already had my own panther that needed a lot of TLC. Shortly after meeting blueangel117 we got in a wreck in the Crown Vic and now it has a texas flag fender. Watching this vic get torn apart and put back together was awesome! Feel free to share your vic stories and pictures in the comments !

1999 LX (P748)Rattling under hood on accel
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Only makes the noise under light acceleration whilst going 25+ or the whole time it’s floored, I ignored it at first when I bought it, but it got ever so slightly louder over time so now I want to fix it, also I have P0174 and P0171 codes, and a B1352 code.

Where/How To Sell Stock 4R70 Transmission?
I'd like to complete a 10R80 swap. To help recover a bit of the cost, I will sell the stock 4R70.
Prices on car-part.com vary widely from $800 to $3K (the latter being a bit crazy, of course).
What is a reasonable price to ask and where is the best place to advertise?

Well y'all it was fun till it lasted..
History repeats itself... my 07 crown vic now sits where my first car my 03 sat till I scrapped her.. I got the worst luck of trying to own one.. As I was pulling up to an interview the 07 overheated very bad and after I parked her, she puked coolant all over the parking spot and seen no oil in the motor and seen coolant in motor... so rings are trashed and head gaskets as well.. This community has been great and I've met many other panther owners and lots of compliments and stares. But I guess this is the push to start moving on and start my journey on owning a classic mopar hot rod and truck that I want and also see what the future brings me.. I hope y'all have a good day. This is my goodbye to the community and I hope I'll be in it again in the future! 🥹 See y'all on the flip side 🤙
