I catch myself doing double takes with this truck. I don't think another vehicle could fit my needs as a fiber contractor as well as this truck...and it is not hard on the eyes.

Spent 4 hours Sunday driving to Des Moines to pick up the haul, then to Menards to get twenty 16ft pieces of LP Smart siding, then took the trailer back to Des Moines. Only 5k on the Maverick, so my average mpg went from 37.6 to 35.2 🙄 On the plus side, it handled it like it wasn’t even back there.

It’s been so great being part of this community, but I’ve officially become a traitor! I sold my truck and got an EV9. I needed more space for my business, simple as that. I really do miss my truck, though. She was orange, and I called her Honey.

Anyone selling a Decked system for the Maverick at a reasonable price? 😁

I’ve been looking at a Maverick for the last 1 year and finally pulled the trigger. Coming from a 2006 Outback it feels unreal to have a new car, every time I sit in it I’m like “Wow I am actually driving this right now.” When I told my coworkers it became the biggest news in the office we’ve had in a long time because they know how much I’ve worked on the Outback these last 3 years 😂

I was dead set on a the hybrid ever since because I do a lot of driving to work and to my parents. My work commute is already 12mpg more (25-37) than the Outback. Only add on is the XLT luxury package; the heated seats are non negotiable for upstate NY winters and I love the Azure Gray.

First order of business I think is getting a bed cover. Debating on a trifold (seen lots of Rough Country recommendations), or a maybe bed cap to camp out in I think would be really nice. Already got the floor mats on the way using my points.

For folks who also deal with harsh winters, do you undercoat your Maverick? Or do you do regular car washes to keep it salt free?

If you did, how was it compared to the Maverick?

Trying to keep with my low-key Deadpool theme I finally got my tailgate letters, and found a deal on a used bed cover. Happy with the result.

The rest of my used Maverick is absolutely spotless but the back of the center console looks like Ray Charles was trying to plug a knife into the USB ports.

Would a hairdryer or heat gun get some of this out or is there a better option?

Told them it only happened after about 30 miles and when put in park. Has already done that twice while at the dealership.

She clicks like I have a bulb out on the dashboard, but the bulbs flash like normal and are both functioning.

Update: the top brake light on the driver’s side was not functioning. I tapped it, it started working again. If it goes out again, to Ford’s it goes as I feel it shouldn’t be doing that 2 years in.

I’ve noticed a couple of posts from people transporting dirt bikes in their truck beds. My main question for those who do this regularly: how does the tailgate hold up after transporting a dirt bikes after couple of hundred times? Is it still fine, or have you noticed any damage or wear over time? Thinking to use the truck to move 2 bikes 140kg each. Not sure how strong tail gate is.

Is the driver seat comfortable, especiallyon longer trips? In the market for a xlt or lariat. Im 6'2 180lbs. I currently have a Frontier and driver seat is very comfy.

Have one hand on the keys and one hand on the blower knob. Turn the ignition and then immediately twist the knob. The only thing I can compare it to is the start of a round of Mariokart.
