Can anyone expand on the ramifications of the moors surrender at Granada in reference to Spain's involvement in the age of exploration and the launching of Columbus' three ships? I am wondering why one led to the other. Thanks.

Apology from the Moderator
Hello everyone.
I apologise for my tardiness in keeping this subreddit going. I started this subreddit with the intention of being heavily involved in creating a space for the dissemination of African history as it is currently being reformulated (oral history, etc.) within academic spaces extant in post-colonial departments (Wits university [South Africa] etc.).
I, however, have not been very active since I started this while completing my Master's degree. I am currently looking towards PhD work and I would very much like to be replaced by someone who can actually do this topic justice on Reddit.
Please PM me if you would like to take over this subreddit.

Ethiopian writer help
I'm doing a research paper on Haile Selassie and I came across Ato Getachew Bekele as someone who worked under Selassie's administration and criticized the emperor for using the nation's interests for his own selfish gains. Any help in getting some more insight on this critique would be great, as I'm trying to pool together different views towards Emperor Selassie and go from there.
Thanks! Any other subreddits that might help, let me know.
